Yay and nay! I go in streaks and drink Diet Coke and then quit for a while. Although I know it is not the best for me I try not to stress about it. One of my streaks lasted 5 years and included no chocolate.

Nay---it's just one more bad habit, confuses your body and the carbonation rots your teeth. My husband is a diabetic and he learned how sugar substitutes make your body think it ate sugar so it reacts accordingly.
A pint of the regular diet soda, another pint of Diet Rite which has no sodium or caffeine, twenty ounces of regular coffee, twenty ounces of decaf coffee, and a pint or two of water every day, day after day. Yay!
