It sounds like you are focused on your goals, which is great. You can do it!

Hi,
I just got diagnosed basically with prediabetes last Thursday and have been on SparkPeople for three days. I am following it diligently, and have worked out twice and swam once, and from tracking my food have reduced my portion size and protein intake which I saw was too high. I am very excited to be here and am putting in an all out effort to prevent getting diabetes for real.

To give a quick background, I lost over 55 pounds around two years ago bottoming out at around 157 pounds for a 5`10`` guy. Unfortunately over the last few months I gained about 20 of it back topping out around 180. I am now back to 175 with only a week of dieting and exercising though I highly doubt I will lose so much so quickly again. I gave myself until Feb 20 2020 to get back down to 160.

Last winter, even at 157 I did no exercise for about 4 months. This year I plan to walk outside, swim, and workout all winter so I should be healthier.

The prediabetes diagnosis remains the priority. Thanks for reading!
