Hello! Obviously, I am new. My name is ON_A_DIET. Nice to meet you!

My whole life, I weighed 94 pounds. Then, due to personal reasons, I went up to 200. I have been stuck at 160 for a while and the scale just will not budge.

I exercise. I watch my portions. I even am a highest honors graduate in fitness and nutrition! Unreal.

So, if you have any clue as to what I am doing wrong, just tell.

OK. Yes, try about your BMR calories 2x per wk, 1200 or less the other days.

Some people I know even fast on some other days. I never did that. At 1200, though, you'll only lose about two pounds a month.

This is called calorie cycling/ I have no idea what a dietician would think, but it worked for me.

Okay, I did the BMR and it said 1562.45 which is way above the 1,200 calorie diet my dietician put me on before she quit her job and moved to Tennessee. Spark has me set to 1,200 - 1550 so basically two days a week i'm shooting for the top end. I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes on Wednesday the 15th of October.

Here is an initial suggestion:
- Calculate your BMR www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calc

. Be sure that, at least 2 days per week, you are getting "enough" calories. In your BMR range. I usually choose Wed and Sunday, because I like to go out to eat and enjoy a nice Sunday dinner, and Wednesday is mid-week, so that spreads those two days out.
... It is important to eat enough so that your body doesn't go into starvation mode.

- Then, the rest of the week, you can eat less, in order to decrease your calorie count.

I've got tons of other ideas, but, let's start with that.

I am at week 10.

Typically I am at the lower range of my calorie allowance. My tracker does not always show this correctly as I don't run to my computer after every glass of crystal light or 10 cal tea that I drink however if i drink a arizona 170 cal tea then I input it in the tracker.


I was doing really good then all of a sudden I just stalled. I will tell you that when I started my insomnia went away and it came back about the same time I stalled out.

Welcome.
A couple of things I'm wondering:
1. Are you at, approximately, your 6-week weight loss anniversary. That is often when the first plateau might occur.
2. Are you eating enough? Sometimes, in an effort to lose weight, dieters eat too little.

Will be glad to give advice. Let me know. :-)

Hi,

I'm Krys and i've been stuck for two weeks now. After the first week without a loss I redoubled my efforts and increased my exercise minutes. Physically, I can not push myself any harder, yet I didn't see a loss this week either. I can't shake the feeling I must be missing some key element, i'm here to either figure out what that might be or find that there is nothing I can do about it so I can stop being as annoyed.
