Hey guys! I'm a Criminal Justice and Pre-Law Major in my Freshman year. The summer before college i gained about 25 pounds through poor eating habits and lack of exercise. I am unhappy with myself and really need some motivation to get started. I am finding it harder then ever to have healthy eating habits at college. I really need a buddy to keep me on track!

Hey everybody! I'm an Early Childhood/ Special Education Major. I hit my all time weight high at 130lbs during my Freshman year and am determined to get back down to a weight that makes me happy, 108lbs. I'm only 5'1" so the weight sits on my weird. I started my account back in January and am finally starting to make use of it because I'm more determined now to reach my goal. I'm 123lbs now, I managed to lose 6lbs over the summer, and I don't know how I did it, and then only 1lb while I've been back at school. I'm determined. I WILL reach my goal. emoticon

Hi everyone :) I'm April and I'm a French/Spanish double-major wanting to get down to 150 to look and feel much better, with both exercise and dietary changes (I recently found out that dairy products were inducing severe migraines for me, so I'm getting used to not having them.) I've been a SP member for awhile but only started actually using my account a few days ago, but so far so good :)

I used to be very active and worked out alot in highschool, but since entering college I have gained about 30 pounds from stress and poor eating and not having the time to work out. Hello everyone! I'm Lane, I'm a senior, majoring in Screenwriting. I've used Sparkpeople before, but fell off the wagon over the summer. I'm trying to develop better eating habits (good bye dear cheese pizza!) and lose the 30 pounds I've gained since high school.

Hi! It's my last year in college. In june i'm getting my bachelor's of physiotherapy. I have some kilos to lose but now my main motivation is getting in shape/fit before i go to italy for my 4 months practise period. I want to be the kind of physiotherapist who uses her knowledge not on patients but also uses itself.

If you have some questions then it's my pleasure to answer them. emoticon

HELLO!

I am a credit freshman, but should be a junior and this is my first year not living at home. I live with two of my closest friends who both happen to be extremely petite. I have gained a little over 20 lbs since I graduated High School and I am ready to shed those pounds and fight to urge to splurge of pizza and cheese fries! If anyone needs anything; support, a friend or someone to vent to, find me & GOOD LUCK! :)

Hi I'm Ginnie. I'm a sophomore in college and ready to shed the freshman 15 I gained over the past year. I'm a really active person but I end up eating junk food when I'm tired or stressed (which happened a lot last year). I am on the short side so the 15 extra pounds really show on me and I'm very anxious the lose them plus about 10 more. I have a lot of determination if I could learn to make healthier eating choices. I feel that Sparkpeople can really help me reach my goals :)

Hello all,

I'm Jessie and I'm about to be a junior in college. I'm only 18, turning 19 this month. I was just recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and currently doctors are looking for more disorders/diseases to tack on to my already lengthy medical records.

I'm a psych major, forensic psychology to be exact, and I love being a student.

Question! I'm new to sparkpeople, so can anyone tell me how to get the weight loss tracker that shows up on the message board posts? I've looked everywhere but I can't figure it out!

To know that one life has breathed easier because I have lived is to succeed.

Hey everyone. My name's Vanessa and I am a full time college student working on my General Education. I always hear about the typical meals college students eat, but I'm not like that. I have a nice dinner every day. My biggest problem is snacking throughout the day and not eating breakfast. I am truly tired of my size and hating summer because it's too hot for me to wear shorts. I would really like to lose weight and be happy with myself and have more energy. :)

Hey guys! I JUST joined SparkPeople and am hoping this will actually help in losing some unwanted weight.

I've always been the heavy girl, so it's really a part of me. I've never gotten much grief about it, so I've never really been unconfident or motivated to lose any weight. Since I was probably 9 years old my weight has just gone slowly but surely up and up and up, and it's finally to the point that I know this isn't good and it needs to come off.

I would love to talk to some of you veterans of weight loss for some tips (especially in college) and support. Thanks!

Rachel

Hey!

Summer is the best time to start a diet in my opinion, especially for college students. I recently just graduated from college and looking to start a masters program so I know what everyone is going through. The whole "freshman fifteen" turned into way more than fifteen. If anyone ever wants to chat feel free to send me an instant message on aim at closebutgone! I'd be happy to chat and help support others since I'm in the same boat as everyone else.

Hey! I'm really excited that I get to meet people who are going through the same thing I am. I'm not exactly overweight, but I do weigh more than I should and I'd like to fix that. However, I get really excited at the thought of a new diet, but (like many of us) I have an awful time following through. If anyone wants to help, just let me know!

Hello everyone! I'm Lacey from Michigan. I've been on my summer break for the past two months, and in that time I've been trying to get healthier. I've taken up running and I've been trying to think more about what I eat. It's exciting to be in a group alongside other people going through college AND being healthy. =)

Hey guys! I just finished up the first year of my MPA graduate program and am hoping to use this summer break to get in shape and lose a few pounds. I've been overweight my entire life and really want to experience what it's like to be average-sized for once. Always had confidence and high self-esteem all throughout growing up, but that's begun to flag in recent years as an adult. It worries me that my weight is keeping me from reaching my full potential at school, work, and socially. Although I do not agree with discrimination on the basis of appearance, today's society largely embraces passing judgment of a person this way. Nevertheless, I would like to become healthier. Unlike when I was younger, I'm beginning to feel ways that my excess weight has been affecting various activities. I want to feel comfortable in my skin again. This is my goal! :)

Hey I'm Nora and I'm from Washington! And yes it is currently pouring outside :) After finals week this past semester I finally got really pissed off at myself for how much I just keep letting myself go. And I'm coming up on the last few years of college (3 semesters hopefully) till I'm out, and when I graduate not only do I want a degree to be proud of but I want a body and a lifestyle to be proud of too.

Hi everyone! My name is Natasha and I am a senior in college, I have one semester left and will be graduating in December before heading to graduate school. I gained 60+ lbs when I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in 08, it took me awhile but i finally got my insulin under control and now i can finally work on losing all the weight (which i should have been doing all along, but i guess thats why i am here). I'd like to lose 80 lbs but 60 by december for my graduation.. Does anyone think it's possible? I love this site, just joined today and am already totally motivated.

Hey everyone. My name is Dorie, I'm an English major and I live in Europe.

I have always struggled with my weight, I have dieted since I was thirteen. Now I'm 22 and I'm back in action after a long period of laziness. 3 years ago I lost a lot of weight, but then I had a great disappointment in my life. I gained double of what I have lost.:S

Anyway, I started dieting and working out in mid-April, this year and I have already lost 6,6 kilograms (that's about 14,5 pounds, I guess).:)
I currently weigh 147lbs and I wanna go down to 132,5 (or at least close to it) until mid-July, because I'm going on vacation with my family, to a lake - yep, I have to look good in my bikinis again.

Let's see if I can do it.:)

Hey guys, My name is krystal hampton. Some people call me krystal or cristal depends on if you're trying to get on my good side. I'm 25 and will be graduating in a 8 months. Currently I working to become financial consultant and since i've been studying, and studying....the exercise had taken a back seat. It was the norm for me to work out after work at laidies choice in SC every teusday and friday, but since I was laid off I decided to focus on getting my degree and getting the necessary credentials for my new position downtown. You know becoming unemployed really takes a toll on you and until you can sweep up the pieces and get back on it you really have to take time out for yourself (plus party...yes i'll admit). So now i'm back to the routine and just pretty much doing it day by day. This is day two.

yay for me!

my names michelle, i'm 19, teetering 200lbs, and am sincerely sick of it.
at the moment i have 2 more weeks of semester left and finals are kicking my butt. too busy to eat, too busy to work out, too busy to think about anything other than that 3.0.
so here i am!
i'm from the coachella valley, in southern california and about to make the big move to san francisco.
i love social networking, so i hope to be as active as i can in here, even if i am still figuring out the site.
anyways, cant wait to meet you all :]

Hey!! I'm a 19 year old upcoming sophomore in college. My whole family is a little on the thick side so I've always been bigger than most girls around me. And my height hasn't helped me in any way. Being only 5 feet tall every pound I put on makes a HUGE difference. My freshman year I gained 30 pounds. My goal is to lose the belly fat i've put on and to tone out my muscles.

Hey! I'm a 20-year old soon-to-be-junior in college :) I've struggled with weight my whole life (aka I've always been overweight). Well, that is, until about two years ago, when I decided enough is enough and over the period of a year I lost about 60 lbs. Now, however, I've completely fallen off the wagon and am starting to gain it back. Before things start to get too out of control, I want to re-establish a healthy eating lifestyle and I also want to transform my body, adding muscle and getting lean!!
