Hi, it looks like I'm starting over with everything, since I changed my email address, and closed the other one out. This will be a total new beginning, which I needed to do anyway. I wasn't doing well before, through my own fault. Starting new challenges, and goals, for a healthier me. I had lost weight, only to gain it all back. Need to do strength training, especially, but also need cardio, that I'm able to keep up with. I figure walking would be the best for my cardio program.

I tried Zumba and couldn't keep up...I have no rhythm at all. It's sad. I actually blogged about it on my page. I really like yoga and Pilates. My Favorite exercise is my walk in the park. I walk 3.5 MPH ( I gauged it on the treadmill) and really get a good cardio burn. 10 Minute trainer by Tony Horton is tough, but good. I started with that, but it exceeded my abilities at this time and switched to a Weight Watchers work out DVD I have and as I get stronger I will go back to the 10 Min. trainer. It goes without saying...this girl can't dance! lol. I hope you are doing well.

Hi Welcome and best wishes. Yes you can use Spark people nutrition tracker and put in the food you cooked. It will have you pick from a list of already cooked foods some are products from a restaurant or some one may have put in one from a recipe they made. You can also make a recipe from Spark people online from the tracker and apply to the tracker. I have done both of these. I am a maintainer and have been for two years now. It works and it takes time. I did not lose weight quickly it took months of working and some times messing up. I did not quit. Linda from bean town emoticon emoticon emoticon

OK - I need encouragement and support. I need to loose 30 lbs. I do not have anyone to partner with at the gym.
I know I should track all my food - but all the programs that I have - take too long and seem to be cumbersome. Maybe I should start a new thread. - but how do you track foods that I cook?
I walk my dog a couple of times a day so I know that I walk at least a mile. I have a fitness program from my Ins company. I know all the steps - I just seem to have trouble keeping up with them.

Hi, just signed up for this team, and looking forward to getting to know you. I lost about 50 pounds about 3 years ago and hit my goal weight. I managed to keep it off, but gained 20 back since the death of my Mom 6 months ago. I am hitting it hard again to get back to my goal, and have lost 5 pounds in about 3 weeks. I am looking for an active group for encouragement. since I hit 50, it is MUCH harder to exercise like I used to, and arthritis gives me a challenge. It started acting up again as the weight came back on. I am sticking with it and refuse to give up!
I hope to find lots of friends here!!!....Joyce
