Thanks for the welcome and the encouragement! DH does use the Wii and likes it [which is good because he needs to lose weight and tone up, too]. He was gone most of the day today, and I did GREAT on the step aerobic exercise! I could concentrate and get into the rhythm of the stepping. I did 12 minutes so far. It's a lot more taxing than the stationary cycling I'd been doing, so I thought I shouldn't overdo. I'll do more later tonight! It's FUN!!

emoticon emoticon to the team. Nice to meet you.
Once you get into the exercises, you will really have fun. I just do balancing and aerobic exercises and it has made a remarkable difference to the backache that I used to suffer, which a chiropractic told me was due to bad posture!!

Welcome, welcome! Good to have you on the team! I completely understand your concern about the hubby's comments, but I hope that doesn't stop you from doing it while he's around. Hopefully it will encourage him to do it more himself. Who knows? After a couple months on the Wii, the two of you will find yourselves able to dance all night... two nights in a row! emoticon

Welcome to the team. You will get better as time goes on. I do understand not having someone tell you things as you try to concentrate on what your doing. I always make mistakes and get a lower score because of it. I felt a little klutz like too.

After experiencing the Wii Fit at our son's house over Christmas, we took the plunge and got a Wii yesterday. I am feeling VERY klutzy with the balance tests and the step exercise, but I am sure I will get better if I stick with it. My DH is constantly hovering, giving advice, so if I do my Wii exercises while he is out of the house, I should do better! emoticon

My Wii age went from 60 to 78 from yesterday to today. I am 64. Today was the memory test with the numbers where you had to "squash the ball" when the right number was less than the center one. Or was it the other way around? Anyway, I am looking forward to using the Wii: it's the most fun way to exercise I've found yet! Except for line dancing, that is.
