Hi, Jeanette!

I am Tammy and DH and I are only part-timers. DH is fully retired, but I just can't seem to let go of the classroom yet, even though I only work a couple of days per week in the fall and spring.

We have done some 2-3 week trips and some week trips just here in our state of Missouri. We do enjoy it! I saw your pictures and your Class C is very nice.

My name is Tammy and I live in SW Missouri.

Welcome Jeanette. Your plans sound great. The Balloon Fiesta should not be missed. We've been twice and would love to do it again. Sedona and it's red rocks and hikes is fabulous. Yellowstone is beautiful Another place not to be missed is the Custer area where the group is getting together. It is one of our favorite places. We've been most time RVing since 1999 but went full time last year. There are just so many wonderful places to explore. Hope to see you down the road sometime.

Hi Jacque,
Thanks for the welcome. The group seems so friendly. emoticon
We love the traveling, but am looking forward to some longer trips next
year. This year, being new to it we just did a one week trip and then a bunch
of 3 day weekend trips. Next year planning on 2-3 week long trips, so we
can see new places. It's all exciting. I already have a couple of places
in mind for next year. Seems to be too far off !!
Anyway, nice to meet you emoticon

Welcome Jeanette. Glad to have you. I live in a 5th wheel full time, but we haven't traveled any in about 5 years. Prior to that we traveled for work, so were in a different location about every 6-12 weeks. Love the lifestyle and hope to be able to travel again sometime soon.

Hi Jeanette - you are fortunate to live in CA as there is so much to see and do right around you

My DH and I are retired and have a 38' Forest River Class A motor home. We live in Mi but spend our winters in Mesa, AZ.

Hi my name is Jeanette and just joined RV Enthusiasts a couple of days ago. We are new to
the RV lifestyle (as a couple) both did it separately as kids and young adults. My experience with camping was either a tent or tent trailer, until this year when we bought a 2013 Forest River Forrester 34' Class C Motorhome. We really love getting out. Our trips have mostly been long weekenders as we both still work. But we did manage a week in Pismo Beach which was very nice. We take our two dogs with us( American Eskimo's, Calie & Kali) on every trip. They were one of the reasons we bought an RV, didn't like boarding them in a kennel when we were away. We have another trip soon, going to Laguna Beach the weekend after Labor Day.
I live in Southern California, so for now all of our trips have been rather close to home. But looking forward to longer trips next year. On my must see trip list: Sedona, AZ, Yellowstone, and a Route 66 trip (hoping to make it to New Mexico Balloon Fest.). Anyway just want to say Hi to everyone and introduce myself. I posted a few pictures of our RV on my Sparkpage.

Hi and welcome Janice. I live in MN. and we are retired. We just purchased a mobile home in the park we where winter in TX. We are still traveling and have a 2007 32' travel trailer. We have been RVers since our 1st yr. of marriage. I RVed when I was young but my DH had never gone until we went in our 1st yr. together. He loved it and we raised our kids to love nature. Eyr. we had a summer vacation and when the kids started school in the fall, the first thing the teacher did was ask about their vacations. Our kids got to 42 states, Mexico and Canada. The played in the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf. One of our most favorite places to go is the Vancouver Island. Took the kids to the World's Fair in Vancouver as well. As you can see, we love our travels and will be doing it as we transition between our homes in MN. & TX. We are also going to Custer this fall. Sounds so fun!! WELCOME!!

Welcome Janice, we love new members to our team. It would be great if you were able to join us in Sept. We would love to put a face to the posts. As Sharon said, don't let our long posts intimidate you and don't worry if you think you can't catch up to a conversation, just pop in and have your say. We love to give encouragement to those who want it.
I live in a 5th wheel full time, but we haven't traveled any in about 5 years. We're looking for a bigger one, but I think you may be a little far from us. We live in southern Louisiana. We are looking for a larger 5th wheel. Somewhere in the area of a 35-40 ft one.

Welcome to our team Janice

My DH and I are retired. We live in a manufactured home community when we are at home in MI. We winter in AZ and do short trips in the summer so even when we're home we're often gone, lol.

We have a 38ft Class A Motor Home. All the members of this team are extremely curious about each others RV's so most of us have pictures of our RV in our Photo Gallery. So when you're browsing you can check them out.

This team is having a get together in Custer, SD in September. We thought it would be fun as so many of us are on the road. If you can, we would love you to join us! There is a thread devoted to discussing it you can also read.

One last thing, we are in the stages of beginning a team challenge. I will send you the invite. Check it out and let me know if you are interested. It's a great way to get to know the girls and help you lose weight along the way!

Welcome Janice,
I'm Tessa and I live in England but I have been to Lake Louise (not in an RV) when we visited my sister in Vancouver back in 2000. As you say it's a beautiful area and we may go back sometime.
We also use our RV to visit relatives, makes it all so much easier I feel.
Ours is a tiny vehicle (19') compared to yours but it means we can get places we couldn't with a larger one (and I suspect we use less fuel which is a bonus with costs these days).
We are off to France then Switzerland at the weekend-can't wait!
Looking forward to getting to know you better
Tessa

Hi, Janice!

Welcome to the team! I wish you lots of luck selling your motor home, we just bought a new 5th wheel, and are thrilled with it. Our plan is to full time RV it, we are trying to sell our home at the present time, so much to do.

Good idea to travel to see the step-grandchildren and take your own bed with you! You can never be too careful these days with the increase in the prevalance of the bed bugs!

We are currently members of Ocean Canyon Properties where for our yearly dues, we stay for free. Our first outing with our new RV was over the 4th holiday, at our "home" campground, here in Glen Rose, TX. The new RV was perfect, didn't find a single "bug" in it, so very happy with it so far! If you go to my page, I wrote a blog about it with photos.

Can't wait to see your RV! Will go to your page and check for photos! emoticon

Hi. My name is Janice and I am new to this team.

My husband and I love RVing. We are currently trying to sell our Holiday Rambler 2003 41 foot, king sized bed, loads of extras, best bathroom in an RV ever! If you know anyone who is looking for the ultimate retirement traveling home let me know! We would gladly trade for cash and a smaller RV.

My two favourite places that I have RVed to so far are Drumheller, Alberta and Banff/Lake Louise. Wow, the beauty and the majesty! It is soooo lovely.

We also RV to visit my step-grandchildren. One is an 18 hour drive away and the other two are a five hour drive away. It is so much better than staying in a hotel.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

emoticon

I would love to see the Maritimes one day.

Janice
