Welcome, I'm a little late getting over here. I had a rough work week. We live in our 5th wheel full time, but haven't gotten to travel in it since we moved to southern louisiana about 6 years ago. I love the lifestyle. I hope you pop in and let us get to know you. We're a chatty bunch, but will help in any way we can.

Hi: My husband and I were both scouts and had our tornado adventures with water, flying tents and missing canoes. We started life together camping in his converted panel van. Then we got a tent, and then a series of trailer campers, currently a TrailManor. We may go a little larger, but won't go to a Motor Home, unless we win one some where. We're planning to go to Icelandic State Part this coming week, my vacation. Then I retire next Spring! Yay!!!!!!

emoticon I was brought up with camping. When I married, my hubby hadn't ever camped and I loved it. We spent 3 wks. in a pickup camper with my parents and little brother on a trip to WA and OR. He loved it and we then rented a popup, bought a hard sided popup and traveled with our little ones. Our kids have been in 42 states, MX, Canada, and played in all 3 major waters. We have a 32' travel trailer and love it. Spent one & a half winters in it in TX. then bought a mobile home there. We still travel as much as we can! This country has so much to offer and so many beautiful stops. I know even with our extensive travels we won't be able to see it all! You have joined so diehard RVers! We all love them.

Welcome to the team! We bought our first RV in summer of 2011. We were planning a trip from Texas to Upstate New York, where my husband used to live. I asked him if he wanted me to get online and find some airline tickets. He suggested we drive and maybe rent an RV. So, we went to the rental place to check out rental prices. After what we saw, we were sticker shocked! So, we went to the place in town that sold used RV's and ended up buying a 2002 30 ft. 5th wheel. We absolutely LOVED traveling in an RV, and joined a local Good Sam's chapter with whom we camp every month. In June of 2013 we bought a brand new Jayco Pinnacle 5th wheel, 38 feet long, and began living full time in it in January of this year after we sold our home!

Currently, we are building a new home on our property in Deleon Texas about 100 miles from where we used to live. We can still "go back home" anytime we want, we are members of Ocean Canyon Properties, and our "home park" is in Glen Rose, Texas, a little over 20 minutes from where we used to live. We lived there the first 4 months of this year, off and on......now, are back there again and enjoying seeing all of our friends! We hope to travel extensively starting next year! Stay in touch!! emoticon

Your husband is a wise man! We have a similar story. My DH came home with the thought we should buy a MH. I balked at first as I'm not a person who likes road trips. I gave in and we bought our first used MH. One season later we were hooked on RVing! We are now in our third MH and loving the lifestyle it gives us. We have a home in MI that we stay at about 4-5 mos a year. We spend our winters in AZ and travel other places as well. Welcome to our team and we look forward to finding out more about you!

my husband bought a RV when I retired and I was not thinking that I would enjoy leaving my home or garden but have since seen the light. We use to camp in a tent and then a pop up so I guess it only made sense to graduate to an RV.
