Hi Kat, I am for Viking country and we are just outside of Minneapolis. So glad you joined us. We do chat a lot about camping and rigs we have. We started out when we were first married. When we got our own, it was a pop up that we could pull with a car. We had the kids out camping when they were just months old. Last summer we traveled 11,125 miles seeing parts of the country with out 32' travel trailer which we pull with our truck. We have gone the span of camping with my parents in a pickup camper to our 32' and that's as long as we like. We travel with our 2 small dogs and they love, love camping.

Again, welcome to the team.

Hello Again! I am happy to see your post! I can understand exactly what you are dealing with in your hopes for an RV. I have a good friend in our winter resort that is just her and her two dogs. She choose to go with a small Class C. But she used a small motorcycle (200 CC, I think) to do her errands as she hates to have to unhook the RV everytime she wants to do something. All things to consider when looking. We have electric bikes that we sometimes use that has a 20 mile per charge. Just food for thought. And, BTW, our friend is now looking for a pop up van but you are right they are few and far between and expensive!

We are here to answer any of your questions. Be sure and post in our Tell Us About Your Day which is where we do the most of our chatting.

Hello - I just joined this group and already received many warm welcomes...Thank you. My name is Kat and I live in Manitowoc, WI. I joined this group because I hope to retire in about 2-3 years and I have always wanted to travel WI if not the USA. I am alone with my dog so I am going to want something smaller with very little difficulty. I considered a smaller camper/trailer, then thought about truck and camper...but now considering a pop-up van. Hard to find and so far the most affordable - ish is the Recon Camper because I could use that as my normal car and would fit in my garage. 'm just going to leave it at that for now as I have to leave here soon, but I joined here to see if others can give me opionions as to the route that would be best for me. Thank you,
