Hi there! Welcome! emoticon Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I've been away from SP for a bit.

Juicing definitely changed my energy levels. In the beginning, I was miserable, but then my joints stopped hurting so much, and I was able to move better, so I got a lot more done. How are you doing so far?

I don't have any great smoothie recipes to share, but I have had a lot of fun mixing things in my juicer and have learned that pears and cucumbers are both juicy and mildly flavored so they don't compete with anything else. I use them a lot to improve taste. Hope that's useful for you.

Hello fellow smoothers and juicers! Thanks for having me in the group! I am starting day 1 today! I have been feeling awful about the things I've been eating and finally have just had it. I'm doing a modified reboot with smoothies instead of juicing, as I would just eat the pulp anyways, but I'm replacing two other meals with smoothies.

I guess I have a couple questions for the vets out there. Did you have a wave of excess energy? I could only sleep 5 hours today, and the feeling I'm having is like being 'wide awake tired', if that makes any sense. It's like my body knows it should be sleeping but is rebelling.

The second question is are there any good savory smoothie recipes you guys can recommend for the meals I'm replacing? I'm a carb girl; grew up on meat and potatoes, so I enjoy hardy foods, and I'm concerned that I'll be tempted to eat more than the one meal I'm allowing because the smoothies just won't 'cut it' mentally.

Thanks for any and all help!
