Hello Beautiful, Black, Queens!

I'm not really new - I fell off the wagon as of Thanksgiving - I haven't weighed myself yet, but I'm going back to my weight loss group meeting tonight, and will know the damage. Anyway, I'm back, I'm black, I'm beautiful, and ready to get back into the swing of healthy living!

Hello Beautiful, Black, Queens! My name is Monica. I reside in Dallas. I have been overweight for majority of my life. In July 2009, I began my start to healthier living, but became pregnant again in August 2009 and everything about losing weight went out the door. I had my last baby in March 2010 and have said since then I was going to get back on track with trying to live and eat healthier. In September 2010, I began to get serious again about living healthier. I started exercising, but continued to eat all the wrong foods. Healthy meal choices have always been a struggle for me because I dislike cooking. Three days ago my friend introduced me to SparkPeople! I am very hopeful that I took full advantage of the site and become a healthier person. So far, I am addicted to the site and can't wait to log on at night to track my progress for the day. I am loving the Undie Challenge. I hope to meet other females in my position and we can inspire each other.

Hi ladies! I'm Loretta from New Jersey and I'm so excited to start with the new me in 2011. I know it's cliche', but it's how I feel. I lost 12 lbs for my wedding in 2009 and have since gained the 12 back plus an extra 20 :(

My goal is to get myself into a healthy BMI and eventually get to 140 lbs.

Hey everyone, My name is Natalia and I just joined SparkPeople about 30 minutes ago. I decided earlier this year that I needed to do something about my weight so I started a new diet. Well it was successful; I lost about 25 pounds, That however did not last. I started eating junk food again and I no longer have the motivation to do anything. I actually want to gain 10lbs, and it has been a struggle. I know that the only way for me to gain is to continue to workout and double my calorie intake, but I just don't have the motivation to do so! I need help & that extra self motivation!

Hello, Im new here , joined SP in Sept. but fell off 2-3 days after start. lack of motivation. I want be healthy and have my clothes fit, without tugging and pulling. I want to be comfortable in the skin I'm in. Goal: to lose 40 lbs by June 2011. Intervention : exercise daily, water and cut out sugar, calories 1200-1500 per day.

Hello BBQ's I just joined this group and Sparkspeople today. I am excited to have a group of people to communicate with who are going through similar weight struggles just like me. I started out on Dec 1st with my own challenge to lose 20 pounds in the next 4 months. I am going to need all the help I can get. And don’t worry I will help you all along the way also. Support is a wonderful thing.

hello everyone of the bbq crew. I am a new kid on the block here. I am happy to be a part. I am 38 and 174pounds. I work fulltime in the deli at a local walmart here in the state of Kansas. I am recently attending college online working on my bachelors degree in business admin. My goals are heavy right now. I am glad i am not alone. you know we sistas struggle sometimes with being rounded all the way around so thats my problem. I want to lose at least 50 pounds I know I have support from you all and I am glad.
