I try to eat more vegetables so help me get out of the carb mode. I even eat artichokes and olives with tomatoes and some mild cheese in a bowl.
Good habits will help and stick!
I have been walking more too.
Good luck!

Goal: is to eat a healthier food plan everyday ( myself & husband). I need to lose weight.

Challenge: will be to limit the amount of red meat and eggs we eat each week.

Another goal is wake up consistently at 8:00 A.M. instead of at various hours. When my retirement started I let myself sleep without using a clock to time it. The health benefits have strengthened me and steadied me so that now I have a new "take" on life in general. Now I want to wake up at a certain time every day, drink my water at the top of every hour, eat 6 small meals that are timed at 2 1/2 hours apart, and exercise mid-morning and mid-afternoon, with a 15 minute walk after supper.

I started on January 1 of this year and committed to being consistent with exercise for one thing and cutting out a few bad habits that we're getting in the way of me and plans for weight-loss. (Watching snacks and tracking everything has really helped).

One thing that helped me through January was to show on my tracker my fitness minutes and set a goal to reach 1000 minutes by the end of the month. I like seeing that little icon move across the page which acted as a motivator. There are still a few days to this month but I already reached a thousand minutes a few days ago! So I am really happy I met that challenge and we will see how much weight I lost in a couple more days.
( I do not make traditional New Year's resolutions, but I find that I am able to take one month at a time and even break it down into one week intervals and focus and that helps a lot).

Last night we had salmon for dinner and we are having it about twice a week. On occasion I will eat some sardines with my hearty tossed green salad at lunch. (For both omega threes and added calcium).

What will be new and what will be different?
For me I need to be more consistent with my exercise and grow in endurance and intensity.
I tried to stick with the Mediterranean way of eating and have lots of veggies at lunch and dinner.

I love to bake some potatoes and lots of vegetables seasoned with herbs.

How about you?
