There's nothing wrong with using the word "diet". It comes from the Greek word "diaita", meaning way of life. So to lose weight and keep it off we need to change our way of life.

I love that your flowers keep changing on your profile picture - Gardening is not only my hobby, but my only exercise right now.

I'm glad you clarified. I thought you meant that you only did C1 and quit. Don't worry - we'll help you stay on the straight and narrow emoticon

Check out "fatloser.com" it's a free program for mental toughness while getting fit. The guy is really good. I'm on day 5 of a 21 day course and I'm getting a lot out of it. We're commenting about each day in a topic of the same name.

Great, I may chose to post my menus as well, and yes I did pretty well in Cycle 1, didn't lose anything in Cycle 2, and then dropped a couple more pounds as soon as I started Cycle 3 - THEN, came my husband's birthday weekend, and I've been faltering ever since. Now I'll comit once again to Cycle 1 and aim for the same progress, without wine of course, that is treat to look forward to in Cycle 3!

I'm refreshing with my diet program, walking, and spark people all at once, so for me it feels good to have a fresh beginning once again. One day at a time!

Welcome again! You might want to join some of us in logging your meals under "Daily menus for Inspiration". I think your weight loss the last time you were on it is pretty impressive. Were you actually following it exactly? I wasn't sure if you meant you had wine occasionally in C1 or if you meant you were looking forward to having it in C3. I thought that was the best part of C3 emoticon I've gotten used to having my water in a wine glass with meals on the other 2 cycles.

If you have any questions or need any support we're all here for you. emoticon emoticon

Glad to have found a 17 Day Diet team. I love this program, as it has really helped me to find success with clean foods eating, while still have some guidelines to follow. When I first started the program April 27th I lost 9.5 lbs. during Cycle 1 was was very pleased with my progress. I have detoured in the past month, so I'm regrouping and getting a fresh beginning once again.

I've been a Medifast meal plan user for several years, and love the convenience of shakes and meal replacements, however, I've also needed to find long-term success with adding in whole foods as well. I was sceptical of the 17 Day Diet at first, I guess because of the name of the book, but have found this program actually allows me to make create my own shakes and smoothies during the day, while finding a good balance in regards to including various carbs & fruits, and yeah, wine on occasion as well.

Today I'm back to Cycle 1 - Day #1 - striving towards continued success toward my goal weight, and maintenance - and staying at that level for longer than 2 seconds! Ha.
