Hi Lesa and emoticon !

I have been trying to keep my carbs between 50 and 75 gms per day. Have done alittle research on the primal blueprint and feel good about this program although I would be the first to tell you that I am not an "expert". Welcome again and hope to get to know you more....Jo

Hi Lesa and welcome to the team. You know, I just take it a day at a time, try to plan what I'm eating for the day. I don't keep foods that I cannot eat in my house anymore, thats the easiest way for me. I know it's not possible for all of you to do that however.

You'll get a lot of info from the different ones here and there are several low carb teams too - so look around and visit them and see which one makes the most sense to you. We're glad that you've joined us and hope to see you often.

Hi my name is Lesa and i am from jersey starting southbeach today...would LOVE to lose about 35 lbs...
can anyone chime in and let me know how much you lost, which low-carb plan you are on, and how long it took (?)...also, if you have any great tips or suggestions that made this approach easier - that would be GREAT too!!!!

Hi, I am giving Atkins another try to get my blood sugar under control. I'm doing it low-sodium so this should be interesting...lol. Hope I can contribute a lot, I've done Atkins before and I just got the new book.

Hi, my name is Amy and I just joined the team. I'm not new to SparkPeople - I'd joined a few years ago but cancelled when I got frustrated with my umpteenth unsuccessful diet. Now I'm finally on a successful diet and thought I'd join again for the community support.

What finally made the difference for me was low-carb. My doctor recommended a particular weight loss clinic, and the doc there (who is my hero and favorite person in the world, LOL) dx'd me with insulin resistance and reactive hypoglycemia and said that low-carb would be the best diet for me. Well I certainly didn't want to give up my carbs! But I tried it, and 5 months later I'm down 44 lbs!! I still have a ways to go but I am looking and feeling so much better.

Anyways I just wanted to make a quick intro and say hi! to everyone and I look forward to being on the Living Low Carb team. :)
