I am returning to Sparkpeople and going to restart this challenge. December 31/12 will be the beginning of my first week. I'm giving myself the last week of the year to get my ducks all in a row(so to speak). I am setting myself up for success instead fo failure!

Hello Everyone, I really need help in getting started on the weight loss journey. I'm hoping a challenge will be what I need to get started. I graduate with my Bachelors degree in February (I'm 36-it's been tough) and would like to go to the ceremony in March, but am very self-conscious about my weight, and therefore embarrassed to go. Plus I'm moving to California and would like to make a fresh start in a thinner and healthier body. I look forward to this challenge and the support that is on this site!

Hi There!!

My name is Mandie and I joined SparkPeople a few months ago. I've been on my weight loss mission for almost a year now and I'm celebrating 45lbs. lost. I keep getting to 49, and then I fall back to 45. I'm hoping to get the boost of motivation that I need to pass 50 and continue on my weight loss journey. My current weight is 239 lbs. but when I started, I weighed 285...so remember, anything is possible!!! My goal is to get out of the 200's...although I've realized it is a slow process!!! I'm hoping that once I get my weight under control, my husband and I will be able to get pregnant. We've had trouble getting pregnant and the doctor's say it's because of my weight. It's a horrible feeling to know that whether or not you and your husband can have children hinges on how strong your will is!! Well, I think I've got a pretty strong will and I'm ready to take charge of my life! Here we go year 2 of weight loss...and "100 lbs. Lost" look out because I'm on my way!!!

Hi all! I recently completed the 28 day boot camp challenge and felt myself slipping since it has been over! I found this challenge to motivate me and to make me accountable for my exercise....My main problem is staying motivated for the long haul and I know I need extra inspiration to keep me on track! I am hoping for a great 4 weeks and a losing streak of pounds along the way!

Anyone else just starting? I did this challenge last January and really enjoyed it so I am back at it again. I have been suffering from a lack of motivation and need something to keep me accountable. My goal for the 28 days is just to stick with it and exercise for 10 minutes each day. My long term goal is to lose 10 pounds and keep it off! I always seem to gain the same five to ten pounds back and I am tired of being on this yo-yo!

I am getting married at the end of September (2nd time around). I have been using SparkPeople since the middle of May and have lost almost 20lbs but things seem to have stalled over the last 3-4 weeks. I want to use this challenge to see if I can drop another 5lbs before the wedding.
The wedding isn't my final goal (I started my weight loss plan before we decided to take the plunge) but it will meet a milestone I set for myself for the start of Fall.

Two years ago I was in great shape. I had been eating right and was working a job that kept me very active: lifting & on my feet several hours a day. Then I got lazy and quit taking care of myself.

It's time to get that body back. It will be harder to do since I am in my 40's, but I know it is possible. 25-30 pounds, be prepared! You are about to melt away.
