Hello,
I have been doing Spark people since March 1st and lost 12 lbs but I just came back from vacation where i gained 5 of it back. I was doing so good and now I need something to jump start me again. It is so easy to just give up. I need to lose so much and the end goal seems so far away. I hope this helps.

Hi, my name is Linda. This is my second boot camp. I liked the first one enough, to join another. Hoping it shapes my body in the right places. lol bikini? probably never, bathing suit? hopefully, one that won't expose my belly, when I am standing on side of pool ready to go in, luckily I had on shorts, but one day, I seen this from standing in the pool, and it has delayed me from getting a bathing suit, just thinking about it. (I never thought about the view from inside the pool before)

Oh Well! May 1st I will begin, and will end the four weeks on my 66th birthday, May 28th, this should be FUN!

Let's GO team, we can do this!

I live in the EST, posted for need of challenge leaders.

Ohio is the state I was born in, raised in, and lived in all my life!

Enjoy Life to the Fullest!

I will get under 200 lbs!

Hello. I am Bam-ma. I am from upstate NY. I have recently taken up running,so the cardio thing is well in hand, but I have been struggling with getting in my strength training. I really enjoyed the 28 day bootcamp, so I thought that this might get me back into it. I will NEVER wear a bikini (too many stretch marks),but a nice tankini might be good!

Hi everyone! I'm Cindy and I'm currently a full time student and work part time. So, needless to say I haven't been able to exercise like I need to. I have lost approximately 25 lbs so far but right now I'm stuck in the 230's. I'm hoping to lose at least 10 lbs with this challenge. Would really like to be close to 200 lbs by the time school starts in the fall.

Hi my name is Deb. I have never joined any of the Spark teams, but this one just seems to fit into my schedule. I would like to lose about 10 lbs, but more importantly, I think I am ready to follow a more organized fitness plan. Right now, I ride a stationary bike each morning and do 5 miles, and I wear a pedometer to track my steps, I know I could use more cardio time and tracking my food would probably shock me into cutting back on some of the food items that have been creeping back into my diet. I am looking forward to working with the team.

Hello ALL;

My name is Linda and I have lost around 30 - 40 pounds since I started my weight loss journey, over 4 years ago. That is when I was laid off from CHL! I am still looking for work! I want to lose about 30 - 40 more pounds and continue on my journey to helping others in their weight loss journey! I am already a personal trainer and am studying to be a group fitness trainer! I am also a web designer. I love helping others and want to get started right away as a group fitness trainer/CPT!

Hi, I'm Jill. This is my very first ever Challenge, and I'm looking forward to it! I've been very consistent with my exercise regimen for the last 9 months, but I think it will be good for me to get a little variety in. We have a big family trip to Florida at the end of May, so the timing on this is perfect!

Good luck, everyone!

I have never finished a workout and thought to myself, "Now, THAT was a waste of time!"

I'm Zelda. I'm too young to worry about my health, and moping bout how I don't look the way I want to is such a stupid waste of time and energy.

I've been having "commitment issues" lately; I can't keep myself on track. I think having a short-term goal like this team provides will help me reach my goals this time.

I'm freaking out that I may fail, but I'm putting that aside. I'm going to do this because I want to feel better about myself and this will give me a goal to work toward (which really helps me). I have started and stopped dieting my whole life. I want this time to be different so I'm going to DO the whole 'changing your life style' thing and this is step one. I want to be healthy when fun things and opportunities come up, and to not feel self conscious when I look in the mirror or am in front of other people. I have been healthier in the past, but I exhausted myself on the diet/exercise regimen - it did not last over six to ten months. God is going to help me. This time is going to be different. One day at a time.

I am hoping that this can be just the bump that I need to get me started in the right direction. I have just been so fatigued lately so I really think that if I can get active and get some of this weight off, that it can really help me feel a lot better both physically and mentally. Much love to all my fellow Sparkers, and good luck!

Hi!

I haven't even bought a swimsuit in so long, I wouldn't know where to begin. On the rare chance I get to swim, I just wear some shorts and a t-shirt... but that's getting old!

I enjoy challenges like this, and I think I really need them to get me started, sometimes.

I'd love to be able to go to Splashtown with my husband (daughter'll probably stay at daycare) sometime this summer, and I'd enjoy taking my daughter somewhere to let her learn how fun swimming can be.

Beyond that, though, I'm working to get healthier, and I'd love to look better in and out of my clothes, even if I don't go anywhere in a swimsuit!

Hi everyone,

I can't wait to start this bootcamp. I just finished the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and I have been looking for something new and different to do. I am going to be running a half marathon on Sunday 5/1, which is the official start day for this, but I am hoping that I can still start and keep up with the program.

I'd love to be 150 or as close to there as possible, but the time it is over. I'm at about 161-162 at the moment. If I could lose 8-10lbs I'd be thrilled.

Baby on board!! Due June 20th!!

I don't have a huge amount to lose, but I'm finding that the middle age scale creep is harder to fight than I ever anticipated. I need something portable for an exercise plan due to my work/travel schedule, so I'm hoping that this will be easier to implement. I need a plan to follow to keep me on track.

Hi, I am Jeanne and I have been trying to lose the same ten pounds forever. I exercise daily and watch what I eat but it is amazing how stubborn it is to lose.
So, I hope a little accountability will help.
I recently began eating differently due to doctor's orders. Five days so far...I am off of sugar and most starches; trying to stay as low glycemic as possible. Today I woke up with NO PAIN!! AMAZING!

I am 52, so hormones are having a hay day. If I could lose ten pounds I would be happy with that. Not looking to be "perfect" just in good shape for my age.

Hello everyone!! I have tried so many times to get in the routine of exercising. I usually go about a week or two and quit. This time I am taking a new approach, and I am crossing my fingers for success. I officially start tomorrow and I am looking forward to it! There is a little more motivation this year, as I will be getting married in October in the Cayman Islands and I want to look and feel my best!

Hi all...

I'm looking forward to this bootcamp challenge to help me get moving again. I'm a full-time student, so I'm on my tail-end for much of the day. It'll be nice to be doing this with others working towards a common goal of getting fit!

I am Michele of Texas. I am 47 and have been happily married 27 years. We have 4 children and I never lost the weight after baby 3 or 4. I would like to lose about 40 pounds, perhaps more. I have been working out at a local gym for about 14 months, and my fitness and cardio are great - but still the weight remains.

Hi everyone :)
I'm new to sparknotes, but I really wanted to try this challenge as my goal to get in shape for my prom at the beginning of june. I've never been small in my life, and I never will, which is perfectly fine with me, I don't want to be a 00, but I would still like to look my best for my one in a lifetime event. I play on a multitude of school sports, so exercise really isn't a problem. My problem mainly is eating while I study. I have an array of crazy subjects right now, and I'm really pressured into getting good grades so I qualify for grants for university. With this group I hope to set a healthy lifestyle, exercise routine, and sleep cycle while juggling with school and other commitments. I'm excited to start!!! any advice is always welcome and I'm always willing to over a helping hand as well :)

We walked in a nearby park we used to walk almost everyday and I didn't do nearly as well as I once could. After the first round I could feel it all through my body but pushed to do two more. This challenge comes at a great time I am ready to get back on track!

Hello! My name is Heather and I was inspired to join this challenge after being an off-and-on sparker for the past few months. After one really great week of counting calories and working out, I know that I am capable of reaching my goals. This will be a great jump start to that process!

Just joined and started today! Loved the lower body video. I just finished walking a 10k last weekend and want to keep going so here I am. I want to "release" my excess weight, not "lose" because I don't want to find it again...:)
Let's do this!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
