Hi everyone!
My name is Nonette, I've been a part of SparkPeople for a while but only recently got really serious about getting healthy and losing weight. I've lost 8 and only have about 82 more to go! :) Feel free to add me as a friend-I love having accountability buddies to exchange words of encouragement with!
Good luck to you all!

Hello everyone,

Just starting today. I have been working on losing weight for the last 3 years, but I seem to have lost my motivation to keep moving forward. I am hoping with this challenge, I can stay focused and get my motivation back. I still have around 85 lbs to lose. Hoping to find my way around and check out everything.

Hello!! My name is Daphne and I'm a very busy mom of 2 teenagers. I work full time and I also attend college. I joined this challenge to help me get back on track. I have fallen off track for a while now and it's time to take care of my health. My family is getting involved in exercise and eating right with me so that will be a huge help for me to be successful. My goal for this challenge is just to dedicate some time each day to doing the exercise videos and tracking my food. I am not trying to lose a massive amount of weight. I would be happy with a 10 lb weight loss for this challenge.

Hi I'm Nikki, I'm trying to lose weight and get back to running races after a year off due to an auto accident. I finished my physical therapy at the end of February and so now I'm jumping right back in with a boot camp here in Philadelphia, PA and I'm also trying to eat healthier as well.

Hi! I am Liza and would like to get back into shape. I have a 8 month old and need to get back to my pre pregnancy body and hopefully shed an additional 5-10 pounds as well. I have been a spark member for several year and have had a lot of success with it. I lost 30 lbs, and kept it off for 2 years, before I had my son. So I am motivating myself with a camping trip with old friends in June and want to look how I looked when they last saw me, last year.

Hi, my name is Monica and I have been a Spark member for several years. Recently I have seen the numbers on the scale heading in the wrong direction and figured its time to get back on track so here I am, motivated and ready to begin.

Hi everyone,

My name is Emi. I've been a member of Spark people for about a year. This site has been of tremendous help to me although I have fallen off the wagon for the past 2 months. I am looking to get back on track with my fitness, especially my nutrition.

I currently weigh about 73kg and I am looking to lose 13kg by September.

Wish me luck! emoticon

Hi everyone! My name is Joanna and I've been a member of SP since January but only recently began "Sparking" in the last 3 weeks.
My starting weight was 208.6 and as of today I'm 200.0!!! emoticon
I joined this group to keep me accountable. I've got the food down pat but I really don't like to exercise. I struggle to get the motivation. This will push me in the right direction and with willpower and a "no excuses" attitude, I WILL finish this challenge and be healthier come summer. emoticon

Hello, team! My name is Katy and I just joined the challenge. I had great success with the January challenge, then promptly "fell off the wagon" for a month and a half. I've felt blah with no energy. Didn't take much to connect the dots there so here I am. I'm hoping to have the same success, more energy, focus and weight loss.

I finished the Jumpstart January Challenge and then went back to the old team Sweatsuit to Swimsuit Challenge. But I just saw this team and I'm going to do it instead of the other SS2SS. Looks like this one might have a few more active members. I LOVE the format of these challenges!

I'm not great with resistance bands and mine has a big ol' handle on it which makes some of the lower body exercises tough.

Anyway, looking forward to completing this. Wish I had started on a Monday but I'll take day one as a friday and move on!

Ok so I've joined two teams not knowing which will be a better fit, so I'm using the same intro...

As I scroll through a bunch of the comments I realize I'm not the only one who had been a member in the past.

I joined under a different name in 06 and lost about 50lbs. I created a new page in 08 to lose a few pounds and maintain and I didn't want to ever forget how far I had come.

I have recently turned 40, moved to a new state, got married and became a step mom to a wonderful little boy. I have time to workout, more then ever, but find myself unmotivated. In January I began working out 5 days a week for at least 30min sometimes up to 90 mins, in 4 weeks I gained 3 lbs. At that point I gave up.

I can't/won't let the weight beat me. I'm just looking for some support. I know my husband loves me but I want to be the best I can for him and myself. I miss my skinny jeans!!

Hello SP Friends! Today is Day One of my challenge and I was actually excited again to exercise.

Been SparkLing since July 1, 2012, lost 40 pounds immediately, and felt great! BUT ... the holidays did a number on me! I fell back into unhealthy habits gradually and without notice... That's the problem.

This morning, I fell in love with Zumba!!! I kept hearing about it, but never got motivated enough to try it. So yesterday, I looked up free Zumba on YouTube and found a Zumba abs workout that I thoroughly enjoyed. Followed that up with SP kickboxing routine, and the 10-minute yoga by SP to finish.

Feel sooooo proud of myself. I'm back to reality. Must work out even when I don't want to. Must stay focused on groceries to insure I eat healthy foods and not junk...yeah, I know, common sense... It's just easy to get away from it if you don't focus. You can never lose focus...

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'M WORKING WITH PURPOSE TO ACHIEVE MY GOAL!!!

DAILY AFFIRMATION: "I love to move my body! I feel fat burning off of me with the heat of a supernova! I eat the right amount of calories and healthy foods, and I am healthy, happy, and stress free!"

I need accountability! i flipped my cycle doing between 25 and 30 mph in sept 2007 and lost all my habits due to a couple of brain hemorrhages. been struggling since then to get back to regular workouts. (actually i'd like to get back to regular anything) the brain is pretty interesting. i have a lot of other maladies cause from the damage, but, not going to let it get me down.

i eat pretty healthy because i've been vegan since 1999. although, that too has suffered. i used to drink 3 cups of carrot juice day, now i'm lucky to get one down a month. the brain is a mystery.

i'm 60 years old and started weight lifting after a coworker pulled a chair out from under me in 1986. this caused a permanent sacroilium injury. the doc's said i could only walk in the pool15 mins a day. after doing that for 2 years, and continued nagging pain, i started on the nautilus machines at one platter at a time and worked my way up from there.

this was at Gold's Gym in Kansas City North MO. there were some body building competitors and professional wrestlers who worked out there. i got acquainted with them and they were kind enough to train me. within 6 mos. i was pumping some serious iron. i was a buff 126 lbs i'm now 146 lbs.

Long story, longer, i really need a challenge! i hope this works, cause it's frustrating not to look good in my bikini anymore. that's right, i expect to look buff again. i met lots of guys who had 70 year old bodies and looked like they were 25. if they can do it so can i!

I NEVER FAIL!!!! BECAUSE I NEVER QUIT!!!!

I am joining the challenge in order to establish a regular exercise routine. My long-term goal is to lose the "freshman 15" by my graduation in May. I seem to yo-yo within a 10 pound range and I would like to break that cycle. I am hoping for a kick in the pants and accountability!

Hey Y'all! I'm Karen, stay-at-home-mom of two extremely, constantly-in-motion boys ages 9 and 5. I joined Sparks back in 2004/2005 and dropped down to my goal weight just before getting pregnant again. So... back up went the weight. Since then, I've had two c-sections, one of which was an emergency c-section so losing weight and trying to find where my stomach is actually supposed to be is quite the challenge. I'm hoping this challenge will be just the thing I need to drop that weight, keep it off and to just stay at a healthy weight for my boys, cause they need their mama!

If you don't have to work for it, it's not worth having. The best things in life don't come free.
