Hi all--
I am very excited about this challenge! I have always worked best with a very structered workout plan so this is right up my alley. I have gained about 25 pounds over the last yr and a half. I would like to blame it on a health issue I had, but know deep down that it is really my very sedintary lifestyle and my lack of self control. So bring on the workouts, I am ready!!

Hi all! Like many of the intro's i've ready below, i've been struggling with the same 10-15 pounds for a while now and am ready to mix my routine up & hopefully get some results! I have a few races planned so far this summer, and am hoping to sign up for a few more to keep me motivated. I also recently started meeting with a personal trainer/dietician once a week to help keep me focused. Mostly i'm hoping this challenge will also give me focus and some accountability, because those are the areas I struggle with most! Drop me a line anytime to chat. Always enjoy celebrating other's successes :)

Hi. You can do it; you are already half-way there because your mindset is still conditioned from when you accomplished your goal before. It just needs to be reactivated and we are here to help cheer you on as you press toward your mark. Looking forward to joining the team with another motivating partner such as yourself. emoticon

Hi there!

I'm Sandy, and I live in San Jose, California. I've been with SparkPeople since mid-November and have lost about 30 pounds to date. I've been a little un-motivated in the exercise area lately, so when I saw this I thought it would be a great motivator to add to the other bootcamp teams I belong to!

Looking forward to joining with you all in this challenge!

Hi I am a mom of 4. I also have a home daycare. I had been skinny my whole life and then after my 2nd daughter was born I started having many health issues that led to huge weight gain. It is now 18 years later and I am the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I have been following the South Beach diet and exercising more which hasn't been easy but so far I have lost about 26 pounds. That's small considering my goal is to lose 126 pounds. I have a huge family history of heart disease and diabetes and I need to become more healthy for not only myself but also my family. I hope this challenge will help to kick me into a higher gear. It has been tough lately to be motivated. It has been so cold and wet everyday it makes it difficult.

Hey! I'm Valerie and I'm a 24-year-old mom of four. I was a skinny girl most of my life, but my last pregnancy was incredibly healthy and I've since gained close to 45 pounds. My goal for the year is to drop 30 pounds and work towards healthier eating and regular exercise as part of my lifestyle and my kids' lifestyles.

I've been on SparkPeople, mostly on and off, for the last few years. I tend to give up rather easily on goals, and I'm desperate to change that. Spring is the perfect time, especially where I live with our cold Canadian winters, it's hard to want to get up and move. I'm DEDICATED and MOTIVATED to get up move!

I'm Linda, and losing weight through exercise alone has been almost impossible for me. I'm hoping this will add some accountability to my daily routine to keep me on track with other training I've committed to doing.

Hi!! My name is Amanda. I had lost all of this weight but then gained it back when school got tough and the only thing I could think of to keep awake to study and do all the homework was chocolate and coffee...I love to run and have been back at it since December but I know I have to change my eatting habits back to what they used to be...so I'm hoping this team will help me stay accountable...

Good luck to everyone!!

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hi!
My name is Pam and I am thrilled to be taking this challenge. It's just what I need to get and stay motivated. I am a stay at home mom to a 3 yr old beautiful boy. Before Motherhood, I enjoyed triathlons, road races, and even a few marathons. I would like to lose 20 pounds and get back on track to becoming the woman I am (on the inside) on the outside :)
thank you for your support. I have had a total lack of discipline and need to get my brain in the right mode!!

Good Morning,
I am a 37yrs old wife and mother of 4 beautiful children : 13 yrs, almost 8yrs, almost 3 yrs, and 8 months. About 7 years ago I had started a weight loss journey that I was very successful at by losing almost 90lbs in a little less than a year. I was able to maintain most of the weight loss for close to 3 years then got pregnant with baby #3. I regained focus , lost 10lbs and was immediately pregnant with baby #4. After regaining all of the weight back I also picked up an additional 10lbs, I decided to act as quickly as possible for my health and to be a good/healthy example for my children.

Now, I have encouraged my sister and one of my best friends to take this journey to better health with me and make some friendly monthly weight loss wagers along the way. I have lost 20lbs since January and plan on losing 60-70lbs more. Much success to everyone and good luck, I am super pumped and very excited!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi, I've exercised all my life, except for the last 1.5 years or so. Just got so sick of it!!
However, my body is aching, my mind is numbing, and I know I need to start again...
Hoping this 4 week thing will help!

hi everyone, I am kristin from hot springs, arkansas. I used to be very dedicated to exercising at least 5 days a week at a pretty high intensity. I got off track a while back and am having a really hard time getting back into the exercise routine. I used to go to various fitness classes at the gym and enjoyed them. I am hoping this will be fun, challenging, and help be get back into the habit of exercising every day.

Hey Everyone,

My name is Cathy and I am 55, soon to be 56 years old. I have the diet thing down finally and have lost 20 pounds, however, the exercise part seems to be my Achilles heal!! I am going to try this in combination with the 5K Walking/Jogging program to see if I can tone myself up and continue loosing weight. I am excited and ready to begin the second phase of my healthier lifestyle.

Hi - I'm Patti.

I'm 40 years old and a single mom of 2 little boys aged 5 and 7. Since my divorce I have lost over 50 pounds - and down to a size 6/8 depending on clothes - I'd like to be solidly into a six and more toned. I have been working with a trainer for the last 6 months but my sessions are about done. So I am joining this challenge with the idea of giving me a push to finish up my toning.

Good luck to all.

Good morning all,
I'm excited to try this bootcamp. I joined the one at the beginning of the year and then injured my back at work within the 2nd week so I was unable to finish it. Then had foot surgery in February. Hopefully all is healed and I can get through this one. Excited to start. I really enjoy Coach Nicole's workout videos.

My name is Deanna. I am 35 years old, I've been married to this wonderful guy for almost 9 years now, we have two beautiful daughters (one is 6 and the other is 1-will be 2 in June). The last time I went on a weight loss journey my oldest was 3 and did good until I got pregnant with dd2...sooo I don't want to wait long to start losing this weight. I've crashed and burned twice now since I've been a member of sparkpeople. I don't want to keep crashing and burning. I need some serious motivation (as if heart disease running in my family and having high blood pressure isn't enough eh?).

My name is Tracey. I turned 45 on Friday and joined the challenge yesterday. I joined SparkPeople in 2009 but failed to keep in touch. This time I really want to stick with it and lose 30 pounds. I am looking forward to challenging myself and getting encouragement and tips from all of you! I want to be healthy enough to chase my kids around this summer, and I want to set a good example for them as well. emoticon

Hello emoticon

My name is Michelle and I'm 45 years old. I've recently fallen in love with exercise - but I'm not seeing the results I want. I know my body is changing, but I thought it would happen faster, so I'm hoping that joining this challenge will be the additional motivation I need to NOT GIVE UP!

I work full time at a local college, have 5 kids (3 still at home) and am a VERY proud grandma (aka: Grammy) of 4 beautiful grandbabies. I love Spark People, but I also LOVE food - and the nutrition tracker and fitness tracker are critical for my feeling in control of these elements in my life. I've got about 15-20 pounds to lose and a spare tire that I'd also like to lose - but after turning 45 it seems my metabolism has completely shut down emoticon

I'm looking forward to working with Coach Nicole and the other coaches AND all of YOU to complete this challenge and finally SEE some results! emoticon emoticon

Hi Everyone! I'm Brenda, this is my first time on the message boards and my first challenge so I'm pretty excited. I've been on my weightloss/ get healthy journey by myself for a while now having lost 68 lbs so far I am 2 lbs from my halfway point.
emoticon I'm finding myself struggling with motivation and perhaps even some unconscious mental sabotage (you know that whole fear of failure thing that causes you to do something so you do fail ). So I am really hoping that this is just the thing I need to keep me motivated and accountable. So that said feel free to do just that KEEP ME ACCOUNTABLE! Good luck everyone.

Hi everyone! My name is Grace, I am a stay at home mom to 2 daughters. I have been on Spark for about 3 weeks and so far I think I am doing pretty good, I have cut out all sodas and caffeine, have been eating smaller portions, cutting out almost all fats (butter and bad fats), severely cut back my sugar intake. I have been feeling a lot better, more energy and generally just in better moods. I have also been walking 2 miles everyday, getting up at 6 am to do it before my husband leaves for work. I just feel like there is more I could be getting out of this and I think Boot Camp will give me the motivation I need to get going and do what it takes to feel good in a bathing suit!!
My reasons for joining Boot Camp is to get:

Motivation
Accountability
Encouragement
Able to see on "paper" my progress

I am excited for this and can't wait to get to know some of you all=) I would also like to make myself available to anyone that needs some encouragement, or whatever.

Hi everyone!

I'm Sabrina and I'm 35. I live in MD and have all of my life. My college courses end this week and won't start back up until after Memorial Day so I thought now is the time to put my health and fitness first. I'm hoping that will continue even after school starts back up.

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hello, everybody! I'm CJ, and I've been on SparkPeople a few months. I was doing super-well until mid-March, when work got super-busy. The exercise at the gym wasn't happening, and my diet went back to most of the old habits (with a few servings of vegetables substituted for servings of cheese). I've gained back about half of what I'd lost by the middle of March, and I'd really like to get the Healthy Thing going in the right direction again!

What I'm expecting to get out of this challenge:
1. Motivation
2. Support
3. ACCOUNTABILITY.

I'm counting on all y'all, and I'll be here for you, too!

And in my other life, I knit. craftygryphon.blogspot.com

Hi, my name is Frannie and I have been using SP for 4 years now. I have gained some weight back and am getting off track so I am hoping that this will help me refocus my efforts!

Hello my name is Vidya, and i am from IL married with two sons. I Joined this bootcamp to get into a ST routine. I do cardio most of the days and I wanted a good Start for ST also. That's the reason I am here. Looking forward to work with the team for the next for weeks, to achieve the goal.

Hi, my name is Theresa. I have been yo-yo'ing back and forth with my weight for almost a year now, and I am hoping to work on being more consistent in order to lose about 10-15 more pounds. I am fairly strong when it comes to cardio and being consistent with exercise, but strength training and tracking food/making food choices are area in which I could use some improvement (and support/help!). I just bought a bathing suit this weekend and spent way more than I should have, but I feel decent about the way it looks (read: satisfied). I am going to the beach for a work trip (yikes) and then to Panama with my boyfriend in May, so there is definitely some incentive to push over the next few weeks. I haven't participated in forums yet, so I welcome any replies from people who are looking to connect!

I'm happy to be reminded of these 'bootcamp challenges' just when I've been thinking I need to get going on my strength training/toning again. The last time I was good about it on a regular basis was when I did my last bootcamp challenge. It's fun to try new video groupings to keep it interesting.

Thanks Coach Nicole!
