My name is Debbie. I happened to see this team on someone's page and decided to check it out. At first I thought it was only for Halloween, but I'm happy to see that November and December challenges are already planned!

I'm transitioning to maintenance, with about 2 more pounds to lose. Reaching my goal weight and then trying to maintain will be a whole new challenge in itself and then when you add in the holidays it gets even more complicated.

I enjoy doing challenges and the ones I saw here look like lots of fun. I'm looking forward to joining you and will plan to begin November 1.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hello =] I'm back.
I left before because I had too much going on, including being pregnant again. So that makes baby #5...a girl this time!! Kids are now 12, almost 11, 2 1/2 year old twins, and baby is almost 5 months.

I was doing daycare but not sure if I'll be able to do that this time since I won't want any kids under 3 til twins are completely potty trained and baby is able to function a lil bit better on her own. In the mean time just living off of one paycheck...30 hours a week, just barely over minimum wage. So it's stressful but we are managing.

I'm back because I want to push myself to be more consistent and I need a challenge or 2 to keep my focused =]

Hello All!
I have been reading through the Forum pages and feel like you all as a group would be a great support for me. I hope I will be for you too! I am eager to work harder and more consistently. I have tried a couple other teams, my favorite was the one I did the week a joined, but they don't go on very much anymore. I miss them!

Hey Sparkers! My name is DayZee (Daisy) and I have been on Spark now for...four years? Lol. I'm new to the team though. I have hit goal weight before, dropping from 150 down to 120 but then there was a stressful period in my life because of a job/branch change and I haven't been dealing with it as well as I hoped I would but also there have been stresses in home and family life so this is me trying to get back to my goal.

I am in maintenance mode but am really having a hard time staying in a "healthy eating" and physically active mode! Over the last 8 years I've gained 126 lbs. Partly due to menopause, but also because of eating differently than I had been plus a good bit of stress since 2009 when I almost lost my husband to congestive heart failure. He's still here thank God but he has a severly weak heart, so I tend to stress eat at times, especially in the evenings.
I'm really trying to get my body back down to a size I can be comfortable with. I no longer own a scale but can weigh at the fitness center. My last weigh in I was 257 lbs, from my all time high of 266 lbs, and I really would like to at least get back down to 196 lbs. That would still make me over weight but I'd be a lot healthier than I am now.

Hello. I just rejoined SPlast week and this time I am in it to win it. It may be day light savings time, but it still winter here in Minneapolis. We still have lots of snow cover, and I have my added winter weight. I'm ready to see both my extra winter weight and the snow melt away.

Hello Everyone! My name is Suzanne and I live in central Missouri. I am married and have three daughters (ages 7, 9, and 11). I am currently about 5 pounds above my ideal weight. Every time I get close to the goal, I ease up on my program and slowly go back up and up and up.... I am here looking for support and accountability as I continue to figure this whole thing out.

I'm new here. I've been on SP since 2008 and have had my ups and downs here. I came back here in January this year and have gradually lost 25 lbs. I'm entering the time of year that my body wants to feed to go into hibernation mode and I don't want that to happen so hoping by joining this team I can break this cycle..I look forward to meeting all of you here.

Hi, I live in central Florida. The North Pole Distance site says I live 42 miles from the North Pole. I know we have a Christmas, Florida, but evidently we have North Pole, FL, too. I figure I can do 42 miles by Christmas. Anyway, I'll head toward Northpole, the World. The closer I get, the less we'll have to worry about Santa or the R.D. melting due to all the global warming.

I know some of you techie people will set this right, but for now, I'm just happy that I'm able to walk. It will be interesting to see how far I get.

Anybody remember Walkin' Lawton (Chiles), the Florida Politician who campaigned by walking 1003 miles across Florida from Pensacola to Key West? Took him 91 days. He never lost an election. That's over 10 miles a day!!

Trina I feel about the high blood pressure that runs in your family...you definitely want to lose the weight so you beat the family history. You've got FOUR REALLY GOOD reasons to lose weight!

I lost 25 pounds in 2010, put them back on in 2011, and lost them again in 2012. I am determined that I will NOT repeat this cycle any more. I would like to lose another 10-15 pounds. Losing the last pounds is slower so I need to remember to stay the course and not expect a big loss every week. It doesn't happen for me.

Challenges coming up -- a two-week trip to China in September, camping over Thanksgiving, a cruise in December, and trailering vacation in January. Can you tell I'm retired?

I will be trying to lose 1-2 pounds a month. Good luck to everyone as we try to maintain and improve our health habits!

Hi everyone!! Nice to meet you all!!

My name is Trina. I'm 31 in a couple of days. I'm a mom of 4 boys (11, 9, and 18 month old twins). I run a private daycare in my home since I cannot afford to pay someone to watch my little ones in order for me to go back to work.

I've been big most of my life. I have a lot of issues from my past that still hinder my self esteem. I need to learn myself if I want to make this weight loss permanent. I've joined this site more times that I want to remember, off and on for about 10 years now. What's different this time?? My mom happened to catch her high blood pressure just out of pure dumb luck. Both #'s were in stage 4 very severe high blood pressure. The doctor was shocked that she didn't seem to exhibit the signs. She has other health issues (migraines and arthritis to name a couple ) that hide the symptoms and so she thought she was fine. Many other family members of mine on my mom's side have dealt with this and usually have a heart attack or stroke by 50 and are gone on average of the age 55 and none make it past 60. I thought that since I wasn't much of a drinker and I don't add salt to anything, I'm in decent shape and I've never been a smoker that it wouldn't get me. Mom is basically the same as me but she smokes. It still got her!! She was lucky to stumble across it before she had a heart attack or stoke and it's coming down slowly but she's on a lot of pills!! I don't want the same fate!! Time to drop the weight!!! Also found out that she is very low on potassium and that's what most likely helped her get to where she is. I started checking out my potassium and I've very very low. So I'm working on getting it in the right levels and I'm taking a supplement to help. I'm still not close but I know that if I keep trying I'll get there!!

emoticon Hi, I'm Lorna, I just found this group and as I love Christmas it just caught my eye. I'm struggling with my weight, 180lbs, I had a 2lb loss last week and if I can keep this up until Christmas I will be over the moon! I know that some weeks I wont but hey-ho you have to live your life too!!! I live on Zakynthos, Greece and the holiday season is in full swing!!! It's very hard to stay focused with so many friend's and family visiting. emoticon .

I have 3 beautiful Grandchildren and I dont want to be the Grannie who cant join in the fun !!

Hi, my name is RoAnne. I've lost nearly 25 pounds already and I'd like to lose 35 pounds by Christmas. I feel this is a very doable goal. I currently weigh 233.5 and this will get me below the 200 pound mark! However, I love to eat and I do not like to exercise and those will be my obstacles in reaching this goal.
