2 random fun facts about you? I have visited 49 of the 50 states, Hawaii is on the bucket list, I love to garden with my raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb and a few other veggies and bulb or rhizome flowers.

What is your name or nick name? My name is Judith Eleanor but I have always been called Judy. Here on SparkPeople I am Harrowjet. That name was chosen because I live in Harrow and JET were my initials before I was married. (JEA doesn' have the same 'ring' emoticon )

Luann here. 63 years old and discovered my inner athlete during Tiger Monarch Spring Challenge. Had WLS in 2012 and have lost 177 pounds so far. I will cekebra6te my 40th Wedding Anniversary in August. I retired from teaching Spanish and German (40 yrs) in 2016 and am enjoying retirement completely.

Why did you sign up for this 5% Challenge?
To continue with my healthy lifestyle. Spark People and the team keep me motivated.

I did the Spring Monarch challenge and am participating in the BLC challenge right now as a Black Panther.

If you did a previous 5% Challenge tell us about it. I did one of the "winter challenges" - it was fun. I started out losing weight but then it taper off and by the end I had not meet my goal.

What diet are you following? Combo Mediterranean with Ayurveda

What is your favorite exercise? Strength training, though attending the chair yoga class we are sponsoring for cancer survivors

If you did a previous 5% Challenge tell us about it. My first Challenge was in 2014 & I was successful for the first 8. My work schedule can be overwhelming & the Challenges keep me mindful.

2 random fun facts about you? I work aboard a VERY pink 38 ft RV from April through November. I've met 4 Spark teamates in person, who hailed from PA, N.Y., CA, & Ontario, Canada, one whom I met on the Casual Travellers team of these Challenges.

What do you like to do for fun? Photography, reading, hanging out with my 2 best friends, playing with my 3 kitties

What diet are you following? Portion control/1500 calories a day, I try to drink 8 cups of water per day.

What is your favorite exercise? Walking

If you did a previous 5 % challenge tell us about it. The 5% Spring Challenge was my 1st challenge. I was on the Clover team (go Clovers) I started at 203 & ended the challenge at 191.3. I lost 11.7 pounds/5.76% weight loss and was top % loser on our team. Not bragging, just letting you know how SP and the 5% weight loss challenge helped me to get back on track, make wiser choices and get active again. I'm also doing the in-between challenge to keep me on track.

2 random fun facts about you? 1. Love exploring the National Parks-especially those in the SW. 2. I go with 2 of my best friends every year to the beach, where our only motivation is to eat breakfast on the balcony, hit the beach and read, flip from front to back, continue reading & occasionally get in the ocean to cool off. Eat dinner out and come back to condo an watch chick flicks. We just got back from our trip and I did add walking on the beach this year.

Been married to my wonderful husband 43.5 years--We are both people persons and greeters at our church-My hubby is 6'4 and the little kids at church call him Mr. Tall Man-And he supports my weight loss journey fully.

Can't wait until the challenge starts!!

What do you like to do for fun? I LOVE going to the beach and walking in the park.

What diet are you following? nothing structured, I try to drink 8 cups of water per day, eat at least 10 fruits and vegetables and exercise 1 hour, keep calories around 1200.

What is your favorite exercise? Walking, I love jazzercise but currently have a foot and wrist injury and haven't gone for 2 years.

2 random fun facts about you? recently retired and moving to a beach community and looking for lots of exercise, relaxation, golf and fun, I am crazy about nutrition and health but haven't been able to lose a single pound for many years despite living a healthy lifestyle.

Diet I am following: I monitor my calories with Sparkpeople and try to incorporate more vegetables and fruit.

Favorite exercise: elliptical trainer, walking, Walk Away the Pounds videos

Like playing with my grandchildren, love to read, love to watch mysteries.
Following 1200 to 1500 cal plan.
Walking is my favorite form of exercise, followed by swimming laps.
This is my first 5% challenge. Hope I do it right.
