When you eat so little your body thinks you're starving it (which you really are) so it will hang on to every little bit it can and not shed anything as it tries to stay alive. You need to eat more. I'm with WW and we do points - I get 23 with weeklies that add up - It doesn't sound like many points in a day but it's all bases around eating healthy. Even if you just ate the Spark recipes you'd do better than what your body is getting right now. You can do this!!

The choices you make today determine who and what you become tomorrow and always remember that if you choose to live in a cocoon you will never become a butterfly

I was on this site 7 or 8 years ago, got healthy, then fell off the wagon. 2 years ago my resolution was to lose 20 pounds. Last year my resolution was to lose the 20lbs I gained when I wanted to lose 20 lbs.! This year I am going to do this right, and I'm going to need help.

Specifically I am looking for groups/blogs that deal with being healthy in my mid-fifties, losing weight, and generally not being an @$$-hat (might well work on everything all at once). I'm also looking for Spark friends with simialr goals. From what I can tell, most of the people I knew when I was last on here are no longer active. I will seldom have any good advice to offer (I don't know any), but will always offer support.

Some things to consider:
How active are you?
How much water do you drink?
Are you deficient in vitamins or minerals?
What's happening with your gut flora?

Become Your Best! Be kind
Have a TERRIFIC day!

Not a new member but I seem to get sidetracked every year. Let's hope I stay focused this year. I finally had a knee replacement, then covid hit. Since then instead of losing weight I have gained even more weight. I stopped drinking alcohol everyday..didn't lose an ounce... which is what I thought was part of my weight problem. I have since come to the conclusion that it's some of the medications I am on. I eat one meal a day and replace two with a slim fast. My partner and my Mom both are concerned because they see I don't eat much. It's so frustrating gaining weight when you keep eliminating things. I fast for 10 to 14 hours per day and still nothing. I pray I can figure out what the problem is and get some of this weight off. Pray for me. Good luck to all the others going through this same process of trying to get healthier.
