Here are some great questions and answers to better help in understanding about Wearing God's Armour.

HaveHow do I take the shield?
Have faith of our God in your life; without faith it is impossible to please Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
How do I stay strong and faithful in God when I'm so sad and heartbroken?
Talk to God about your pain and sorrow. Ask him for peace and to direct your thoughts and your heart. Trust Him and thank Him.
How can I know for sure that God hears me?
Start praying and see what happens. It might feel strange at first, but you will get answers if you seek with your heart.
How can I open God to my heart and be forgiven?
Have confidence in the value of God's word. Get a hunger and desire for it.
Pray humbly and honestly for guidance and forgiveness.
• What are the fiery darts?
Satan wants us to fall away from God. The fiery darts are outside influences that lead us away from God (i.e., pornography, drugs, activities that conflict with church).
Should I put on the armor of God several times a day?
We should; the armor of God can and should protect us any time because we are not aware of when the enemy will strike.
• Does the amour of God help us?
Yes, it does. God is life and in Him we are saved. Put His amour on in every life situation. You will see his mercy and wonders and you will be a testimony to others that putting the armour of God means there is hope in Him, and without His armour you cannot survive (read ephesians 6).
I still don't really understand. How are we to apply the armor?
"Armor" is just a figure, you don't actually apply armor. You basically keep truth, righteousness, peace, your salvation, your faith, and your Bible close to you. All this protects you from the devil, "like armor."
• How can I apply the Armor of God to real-life situations?
By praying to God about the situation and listening to the instruction given in your spirit. God may tell you for that particular situation something different from the last situation, so you need to talk to God first about every real life issue and wait. Listen to see what He will say.
How will I get the armor of God?
We “put it on” by seeking God and His righteousness above everything else (Matthew 6:33). We make Him and His ways our dwelling place (Psalm 91:1). We delight in His commands and desire for His ways to become our ways (Psalm 37:4; 119:24, 111; Isaiah 61:10). When God reveals an area of change to us, we obey and allow Him to work in us. At the point where we say “no” to God, we open a little crack in the armor where Satan’s arrows can get through (Ephesians 6:16).
• Put on your Armor of God daily. Don't beg others (or God) to put it on you... Pick it up.
• Magnify the Lord. Glorify God with all your being and "Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful to him, and bless his name." Psalm 100:4
• Remember, while the temper may use moral temptations (temptations to act against God's Law), the prize he is really after is to tempt you away from faith (from trusting in God's promise to forgive you). Satan will try and make you think that your relationship to God depends on you, and then he will show you how bad you are at it. But your relationship with God depends entirely on Jesus and his promise to forgive you. Trust in that and the Devil is already defeated.
Warnings
• Without the armor of God, we're unprotected. With it, we are enabled to take a stand for what is right/good and helpful.
• Be alert to stand against evil. "after you have put on all of the Armor, then stand."

"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground and after you have done everything, to stand." Ephesians 6:11-13

The Belt (of Truth): "Stand firm in the belt of truth buckled around your waist" Ephesians 6:14. The belt of truth involves two places; our hearts and our minds. Truth keeps us secure in Christ and makes effective all the other pieces of armor. The belt of truth holds our armor in place. Commit yourself daily to walk in the light of God's truth. "Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth!" Psalm 86:11

he Breastplate (of Righteousness): "with the breastplate of righteousness in place," Ephesians 6:14 - A soldier with a breastplate goes into battle boldly with confidence. The devil is constantly attacking with lies, accusations and reminders of past sin. Without the breastplate of righteousness, these will penetrate your heart. Become aware of who you are in Christ Jesus. Come boldly into His presence (Hebrews 4:16). He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor 5:21

The Shoes (of Peace & Preparation): "For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared." Ephesians 6:15. Shoes allow us to stand firm and step freely, without fear, while we turn our full attention to the battle at hand. They aid in our movement and defense. The shoes God gives propel us onward to proclaim the true peace, which is available in Christ. Prepare yourself to follow the Lord no matter what.

The Shield (of Faith): "Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one." Ephesians 6:16 - The shield not only defends our whole body but also our armor. The shield of faith has a very specific function, which the Bible makes abundantly clear: quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Not some but all of them. The shield moves with the attack no matter the direction.

he Helmet (of Salvation): "Take the helmet of salvation." Ephesians 6:17 - Satan's target: Your mind. Satan's weapon: Lies. The enemy wants to make us doubt God and our salvation. The helmet protects our minds from doubting the truth of God's saving work for us. "Since we belong to the day, we must be serious and put the armor of faith and love on our chests, and put on a Helmet of the Hope of Salvation" 1 Thessalonians 5:8

The Sword (of The Spirit): Put on "the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17 - The sword of the Spirit is the only weapon of offense in the armor, but the Word/Bible is also a tool for defense. Strongholds, arguments and thoughts are all weapons the enemy uses against us. With the Sword of the Spirit, God's word, the people are equipped to deal with them all. We need to trust in the truth of God's Word. Have confidence in the value of God's word. Get a hunger and desire for it.
