Week 2 day 3 done today. It was so pretty out today that I decided to go to the park for my workout. That was not a good choice......the park was very hilly and really tuff.. my left leg was killing me and I had to stop 1/2 way through to stretch it. Once I stretched for awhile I was able tp finish but went really slow. In my head I sounded like the little engine that could....." I think I can I think I can. Lol

Kim you are only as old as you feel.....lol. congrats on finishing week 3

Thanks! I've been stretching it & icing in between runs. Made it though W3D3 today! It was tough...they increased the distance to 2 miles today. My right lower leg was fine today, this time it was my right ankle that bothered me. It started bothering me about 1 mile into it, but it never got worse and soon as we finished and was done stretching it quit hurting. Dunno what was up with that. I'm getting old ...all these aches! lol But I made it through once again, so on to Week 4!

Good luck Kim. Running again feels so good.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Starting W2D1 today. Was supposed to yesterday but the hubby had a late night last night so he couldnt stay with the baby. I can't wait till he's old enough to go in a jogging stroller. Good luck to everyone else with the program.

Hi all! My name is Alex and I am brand new. I am a military wife and stay at home mom of 2. I am ready to get healthy, fit, and to drop the baby weight. I would love to meet some people on here to help keep me motivated and accountable. **wink, wink**

I have heard of alot of people having success with this program so I'm anxious to start. I have always dreamed of running and admired those that could immensely. I was hoping to start this week, but I think I'm going to have to push it back to next. ANYONE STARTING ON MONDAY THE 24TH??

Hi all! My name is amanda & I finished W1D3 today. I've done this program before. In fact ive run a few 5ks. But I recently had a baby. He will be 8 weeks on Monday so I'm starting slow. I was actually training for a half marathon when i found out I was pregnant. My husband and i did plan the pregnancy we just didnt expect it to happen so fast. Anyway, i wasnt able to exercise much while I was pregnant because I had some issues so thats why I'm starting over. I can't wait to get back down to my pre pregnancy weight & my pre pregnancy fitness level.

First of all, CONGRATS on finishing W1D3! Great job! Keep up the good work! I love running with the group. Honestly, I don't think I could do the C25K on my own. I really applaud those that can do it alone. I just don't think I'd have the motivation. With the group I have motivation, guidance, support and accountability. And we have little groups that split up within the big groups at different walking/running paces so it all usually works out. And also with this program we have clinics on injury prevention, nutrition, running gear, etc., so that's a great part of it too. Not only do you have the group, but you learn a lot too.

Well another day of NOBO training... W2D2 done! No breathing problems and no leg problems today. We stayed towards the back today with the slower group and I hate to say it, but it was almost too easy today. The fronts a little too fast and the backs a little too slow, so I think somewhere mid pack is good for me. I just hope I'm ready for Saturday's 1 3/4 mile!

Hi all. I just started couch to 5k today. The first workout didnt kill and I finished the whole thing. emoticon . I recently completed the 28 day fitness challenge here on SP and was wondering what to do next and decided on couch to 5k. At 246 I dont remember the last time i ran or even jogged for that matter (up until this morning that is). But I am determined to complete this. Wish me luck.

Ended up the coaches or as call themselves "our mentors" actually set the pace because they didn't want some going faster than others & trying to do to much. So it was basically the same for all of us. It was a slow pace, so it was all good.
