Hello and welcome!! Congratulations of quitting smoking. That is quiet a challenge in itself. I quit a few year ago and it was one of the most difficult things I've done. Welcome to SparkPeople and I wish you the best on your journey.

Hi, and welcome aboard :-) You have sure come to a fantastic place for support and friendship. You have obviously been exploring the site and that is great.

Congratulations on having quit smoking. That is a marvelous achievement all on it's own. I am sure that you have heard the expression 'baby steps' .... that is exactly how you should approach this healthy lifestyle. Just make one or two changes and allow your mind/body to get used to those changes before adding something else to the mix. It applies to nutrition as well as exercise.

If you have any questions just ask. There is usually someone around so a response shouldn't be too far away.

Take care, and make sure that you keep in touch so you will get great support.

Hi everybody I have been on this site for 3 days now and am loving the features. I am trying to get to a healthy weight and this site is wonderful for that. I suffer from major depression so getting motivated to move can be difficult, but the challenges are really helping with that. I also quit smoking 101 days ago and am feeling more comfortable in that. Really trying to take charge of my health. I look forward to a healthier future and making new friends.
