Cold's getting better so hope to get out for a walk today. Have to avoid cold air since it gets me into coughing fits. No fun but we're making progress.

A volunteer day so did not get in any exercise. Did log in food and doing ok. It really does help me to focus on choices. My weight was down to 153.5 this morning. I have not exercised a lot recently but I have been trying to make good choices.

Maree than you for posting about mean people, I was feeling sorry for myself because I felt I have been slighted recently and had a hard time sleeping last night. I am sorry people were mean to you and I hope tomorrow is better.

I did a medicine ball workout this morning. I dripped bullets onto my yoga mat afterward. Whew...what a workout.

I decided after I had a half slice of pie for lunch that I needed to kick the pie to the curb. emoticon I just finished a kickboxing dvd.

OneWeigh Hope your poor cat is feeling better. If he refuses to take the pill, crush it and give it to him in wet food. Ask the vet first if you can crush it first because some pills lose their effect when crushed.
Maree I wish that your day turns out to be a good one. Unfortunately, we cannot escape those people.
Gregg How did the 10K go? I am thinking that maybe I should start training for one.
Doing well with food (minus the chocolate that I need to get under control). 1 hour cardio at the gym tonight.

Still down with a rotten cold and it's very cold and windy out so will not be walking again today. Vacation soon and it should be warmer down south. Looking forward to it.

Good morning all! Maree, I don't know you, but you look FAR too sweet for someone to say mean things to/about. Hope today the balance tilts and you experience love and nice words equally as powerfully (in a good way). :-) My body is still resting up from my first 10k run in over 13 years this Monday. Planning on taking things a bit easier tonight at dodgeball (yeah, I know, I'm THAT cool, I play dodgeball, lol). Hope all of you have wonderful days today, marked with many little victories! We're all still learning. "Eating the pain" is a problem for a lot of us. But another lesson we all learn is how to pick ourselves up and move on. My cat took the pill like a champ, probably because he didn't see it coming...we'll see how he does today. And speaking of medicine, I forgot to reorder my every other week injection, so we'll see what happens. Unfortunately it isn't the first time I've done it. I take it for arthritis and it may also help keep my Crohn 's at bay. Calories short of goal yesterday and I resisted the impulse to eat more, just because I could.

I'm so sorry you were the target of a small person who shot mean words at you, Maree. grrr. I completely understand how you sought comfort in food. So proud of you for not using that as an excuse.

I forgot to take my gym bag to work with me yesterday. I have it in the car now already. Computer (ancient creaky old computer) was acting up this morning so I am just now getting on-line and have to leave for work in minutes. It still feels like Tuesday. Those Monday holidays are great but they do interrupt the work flow. I did see snowflakes at the funeral yesterday. Maybe 30. brrrrrrr

Oneweigh, I hope your kitty is better (and cleaner) today.

Maree, I think I would have reacted the same way you did. When I am hurt, I allow myself a much-deserved pity party, and I most likely stuff my face. The difference these days is that, like you, when the pity party is over, I try to put it behind quickly and do better the next day.

Decent eating day yesterday, coming in near the top of my calorie range again, but at least I was not over. Two days in a row! Is that a streak?

Good morning! Maree, OUCH! I cannot say anything wiser than all Logould's wise words. We live, we learn. We remember who we are and what we are about.

Went to see a new musical, If/Then that opened in DC this month and is going on to NYC. It was such a special night. A good friend who is very ORGANIZED, bought tickets for this event last summer to treat me in honor of my June bd. What a treat it was. Felt very "with it" for all my 60+ years (-:

Had a big breakfast yesterday and to compensate, had cereal with fruit for lunch. I was proud of my self for using "turn it around" thinking to save my day calorie-wise.

Oh you guys. I can totally relate. I'm already anticipating the negatvity of the holidays and struggling with crappy eating. It hasn't even happened yet! But I'm fighting it. Spark People and this team have helped me more in the last year than I let on!

You guys rock.

I grudgingly got a good workout in last night. Sometimes the best workouts happen when I feel too lazy. Just getting started is the hard part!

I'm going to ride my bike tonight that DH mounted in the spare bedroom.

Maree, those mean and hurtful words are hard - I have found myself falling victim far to often recently. I live with a "hurting person" and hurt people - hurt people. Need to get better about setting healthy boundaries. I continue to learn so much here on Spark....and not just about weight loss......maintenance is about SO much more. So grateful for this group. It helps to know that I am not the only one and that I can overcome the unhealthy habits that got me up to 181 in the first place. emoticon emoticon emoticon Thanks for your transparency and for setting such a great example. Off to get ready for work and then meeting with a friend/running coach to put together a plan for the marathon this fall.

Good morning!

I'm awake to get a glass if water so I thought I'd check in. SP will be down for maintenance from 4 to 6 am. Oh, Oneweigh, I have owned big Tom cats and can sympathize with bathing them. It's so indignifying for them.

I was the target of mean words last night and reacted by eating. :((. Now I'm disappointed with myself for what that does to my maintenance goals, in addition to feeling bad about the whole thing. I will deal with it more constructively. Life is hard but I am strong!

Gym at 5:00 for 30 min elliptical and 60 min Dynamic ST class. Hope all have a good day!
