I would love to be between 160 and 165. That isn't a major loss, but in 8 weeks I lost 9 lbs, so I figure its reasonable.

Well to be honest, since New Years is about 12 weeks away, if I lost 3 lbs a week until then I should have no problem reaching goal. But because I'm still in the setup and planning stages of it all, (as I just joined last night) I'd have to say that I hope to at least get close. 15-20 lbs would be nice, but my end goal of 37 would be better. :/

Last time I went about loosing weight it took me 3 months to loose 10 lbs. I'd like to do a lot better this time around. At least I've been able to keep most of it off. About 7 out of the 10, so that's a major plus.

I want to lose 20 pounds by the end of the year...that's attainable for all of us! Make every day count!!! I will for so much better at 20 pounds lighter, even though I would still have 30 more to go after the 20.

Realistically I'm not sure if I'll be completely at my goal. However, I'd like to be happy where I am, to be able to focus on other resolutions besides losing weight. I'd like to be continuing with Spark People and continue to be focused.

I'm working to get down to 160, then I can start my next goal of going from 160 to 145 by spring. It seems like a lot to work off during the holidays (Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas, oh my!), but I think I can do it if I stay busy, watch what I eat and keep up the exercise I can do it.

I'm currently 169!! (yah outta 170's) and I'd like to be about 150ish..give or take we'll see so far so good..I'm a month in and have lost 12 already so I think it's doable...wish me luck and good luck to everyone else!!!

I would like to be about 160-165 around that time. That would be a 15-20 lb loss for me, which I think would significantly improve my health. Plus, I would feel way more comfortable in my own skin!

I would love to lose about 20 pounds by New Year's, but I'm skeptical that I can really do it. I'm finally eating right, exercising regularly, and I've cut out alcohol. We shall see.

I would like to lose 40 pounds by New Years. I plan on joining the Y and exercising for at least 40 mins per day, I have also been keeping count on how many glasses of water i drink and watching my calorie intake.. anyone have any ideas for me? low cal/fat snacks...etc?

By Christmas/New Years, I want to have lost 20lbs. If I stick with the diet/exercise, I should have no problem being there by then! I've got some awesome holiday outfits that I want to wear this year!

I just joined the 16-week challenge and it's my hope to lose 2 pounds a week. Of course, I'm sure there will be weigh in weeks that stump me so I know 32 pounds is pushing it. Regardless though, I'm aiming high and am looking forward to a slightly different perspective on the new year!

I would like to be 145 & in a size 8-10...right now I am 162(starting weight) & a size 12-14...my 29th birthday is 12/23 & I would love to have lost that 17lbs by then & I think I can do it! emoticon

I would like to lose 20lbs by the end of the year. It's been so hard for me to lose weight lately. I've been working hard and watching my food intake, but the scale don't seem to want to move! Losing 20lbs would put me at 158lbs (my birthday is december 28 so that is another reason to lose 20lbs!)

Since I am off to such a good start losing 9 lbs in my first month, I'd like to say wishful thinking I'd like to lose 20 by the end of the year :) I've given myself 1 year to lose 40...but hopefully I'll hit that goal much sooner!

What a great question!! My weight-loss goals are pretty long-term, so I would like to lose maybe 10 lbs. by New Year's which is very doable. Mostly I'm hoping by the end of the year I have built more of a routine with my healthy eating and fitness. I would like to be going to the gym regularly, especially because by that time it will be too cold for me to be walking outside every day.

Might be wishful thinking, but I'm hoping to lose about 33lbs total (153ish down to 120) and would like the bulk of that gone by New Years. The actual date I'm shooting for is 1/3, which will be my 25th birthday. Ideally I'd lose 2lbs a week and be down about 30lbs by then... but, I'm going to be gentle with myself if it doesn't go that quickly. Winter is a rough time to stay active outdoors, so as long as I'm making solid progress I'll be happy.
