I have a pretty long commute in the mornings, so breakfast usually has to be on the go for me. I usually go with:

1) Hardboiled egg white, 1 piece whole wheat toast w/ peanut butter, half a banana

2) Protein shake - Wal-mart Body Fortress vanilla powder, plain greek yogurt, ice, 1-2 tablespoons peanut butter, half a frozen banana, maybe a splash of milk if you like it thinner.

3) 1 Nature Valley Protein bar - Peanut butter & chocolate

4) Whole wheat wrap, scrambled egg white, some sort of veggie, salsa, and maybe some shredded cheese

Most of my breakfast options have more emphasis on protein if possible. It keeps me satisfied longer so that if I have to eat it at 7, it will usually last me until a snack at 10 or 11 a.m.

Good luck!

Protein shakes! I like the vanilla ones and put cooled down coffee in them, some crushed ice, and it's like a frappucino, really!

I think you are right. I am pretty sure I'll feel better throughout the day as well. Thanks for that!

Thank you for your suggestions! I had a piece of honey wheat toast with peanut butter this morning but I am really thinking the protein shakes are more of what I would like. Is there a particular protein powder that's better than the others?

I would suggest either some fruit or something small, like a yogurt, breakfast bar, etc. Or maybe "schedule" your breakfast in the mid-morning around 10am.

I have the same problem I don't eat breakfast. When I do I either eat a bagel and some juice or I hate to say it but a fiber one bar and a coke. I know it is bad. I am trying to clean it up. Good luck on your own breakfast battle.

I started making protein shakes for breakfast because I wasn't a breakfast person either. I've found that the extra protein can help with snacking most days.

A fiber one bar would be fine as long as it doesn't have too much sugar in it. I like to have a greek yogurt or a piece of whole grain toast with some peanut butter on it. I know some people who like to start their day with some fruit and a small skinny coffee. I try to keep my "breakfast" and mid morning snack under 350 calories total.

I am not a big breakfast person but I know I need to eat. Any suggestions on things I could eat that isn't really a meal? Would a fiber one bar be sufficient?
