GM Team!

I have to say I really enjoy this board. People seem connected and committed to checking in and sharing of themselves. It really helps me to push through and want to do better.

I got a 40 minute bike ride in yesterday. Mileage-wise I would have liked to gone longer but traffic was bad pretty early around here because of the TX Rangers game. They were hosting the NY Yankees and the ballpark starts to fill up early when certain teams come to town. But, I'm happy for the 40 minutes. Off day for the team today so we should be able to log more mileage in a shorter amount of time since it's just me and the lead riding.

I too have a garden here in Arlington, TX. WOO! It is really starting to go crazy. I have planted several varieties of tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, squashes, corn and herbs. My squash plants have doubled in size and I have 2 tomatoes on one plant and several peppers/buds coming in on others.

Dablake - Good luck on your weigh-in.

Rgiordano - Welcome aboard!

Good luck to anyone else weighing in today. Thanks guys for giving me the motivation to keep moving & want to do more.

Have a great day!

Denise emoticon

Good Morning!

Jules - I hear ya.. I am not stressing anymore either too much over the stuff I am eating. Im not doing terrible, but not as good as i should either. It will fall into place.

Shalegra- I usually take notes when I am reading, then I can comment. Some days I am running late or just too tired to remember though.

Patti- Your days sound like mine at work. Every morning I have this huge pile of stuff everyone needs done, and then owner will tell others to have me take care of things for them, I always get it done by days end... but think maybe I shouldn't be so efficient, then maybe some of them will do something around there...LOL

Stormy - way to get int eh cardio! Keep up the great work.

Kelley- did you get in your exercise?

Spryte- Welcome! Baby steps

Denise - we had another Denise here as well, havn't seen her since the mountain erupted.....

Bry- Way to go! You rock dude! How many miles are we going this morning?

Mel- What a great birthday gift!

Samiam- Congrats on the 10 pound mark!

Kerrie- You and me both! did you read about my running? Not going to do it as much, will get in a run every now and then, but just to hard on the feet and legs, they ache all the time when I am running consistantly. But getting in good hard walks!

Mary- Good luck getting that 3 day weekend, You deserve it.

Nera- I use sayings like that on my kids all the time and they just look at me like I am speaking foriegn tounge...LOL
My common one for them is "want in one hand and s--t in the other and see which one fills up faster"

Dblake- good luck with the weigh in today. do not get discouraged if it is less than what you expect. It takes the body a while to get use to the change and start letting go.

RGiordano - Welcome!

Dvonne- good to see you. Sorry to hear about your mom. Good for your remembering to take care of you as well.

Roc- yes it gets quite busy in here... I love this place so much because of the support and motivation I get here.

Got in my extra 30 minuts on the SB yesterday morning and did an extra 30 minutes on the TM(fast pace incline) last night... so now to keep it going.

Have a great day all.

Toni

Good morning all!! This is getting to be a very busy board...I am having a hard time keeping up this week because I have been very busy also...

It's nice to read about how everybody is doing! I agree with you ROC ~ we have quite a mix of the US here. Our garden is in...we live in PA...no tomatoes yet...just some lettuce and onions. That is all I need right now for my salad!

I am off bright and early for my son Bill's 8th Grade Graduation and brunch. We have a wedding to cater this weekend...small function for us (150 people), but I have to start on that this afternoon...hopefully I am able to get back to get my SP fix in for the day!!

I'm waiting for you BRY! I have to leave at 8:15 am...

Have a great day all!!

Good evening/morning team,

Wow, there are alot of posts since last night. This is a very active team with people who are engaged in the process....feels good to be a part of it.
This is my last night and it's lunch time. We just grilled sirloin steaks with brocolli side dish. I'm looking forward to my days off. I want to do alot of bike riding.

Mamamia - I hear you on the fear of another freefall. In the past certain "things" have triggered binges and failure to excersise for me. I know for me being part of a team of people who are doing this together has been a real difference. So if I start failing (again) others are there to encourage me. Now I only get off track for a day or two instead of a month or two..lol..and I don't beat myself into a depression over it. You're not alone so keep pushin.

Sami - 10 pounds......AWESOME!

Stormy - I noticed you mentioned you were having trouble getting back on track since your "cheat day". I was reading another blog when I first joined about cheat days, and everyone seemed to have their own opinion about them...that might be a good question to ask our group

What is everyone's opinion about cheat days? Do you puposely have them? Does it make it hard to get back on track? Since I started tracking my food about 1.5 months ago I have not done this yet, mostly because I don't want to trigger a binge. I have heard some people say they will "roll over" extra calories to the next day on their tracker if they mess up.

Switching gears.....
Another thing I noticed is that this team has people from every corner of the U.S. represented.....very cool hearing about stuff out west. It's funny hearing people talk about starting to plant things now, because my garden is already producing some vegetables. I live near Va. Beach now which is beautiful, but grew up in western NY.

Gotta get back to work.........

Let's all eat right and kick our workouts up another notch today......accountabilty/community.....go team 40......

LOL Nera - congrats on doing so well at the games, but you're right. It's PATHETIC that people don't know those phrases!

Well, I got interrupted just after starting this post, so I don't remember any others now, so, sorry.

Just saying that I had a pretty good day. Beat myself up pretty well at training this morning... Paul scolded me when I tried to fudge on an exercise and cut it short, LOL. I was about dropping, and sweating so much I was having trouble seeing, LOL. It was lovely! I'd told him I wanted him to work me till I dropped, and he obliged. Perhaps I'll think twice before suggesting that again, lol... but probably not. I really needed it.

After a break and a snack, I managed 45 minutes on the elliptical, some mild intervals, but then my ankle was killing me so I figured it was about time to call it quits. Been icing it as much as possible today, but it is aching a bit.

If anyone wants to attempt a challenge, try this: Get on hands and feet. Your body can be bent more than in the classic pushup position, but knees can NOT touch the ground. Now, crawl backwards across a space - your living room, hallway, yard, whatever space... then back again.

I'd love to hear what you think of it. My second time across the gym floor and back (with walking lunges in between goes) I just failed. It was quite pathetic, lol.

However, I don't know what it was, but I had 3 different people today (at the gym) ask me if I've lost more weight - that it looked like I had. I haven't, really... but it was nice to hear that I looked it at least

OK, off to ice again. Have a great evening all!

Wow didn't realize I hadn't been on here all day.

The pledge drive went well but we have to go out again as we only hit a few houses but we are closing in on the half way point of our pledge goal.

I was at a party for a coworker who is getting married. My pit of useless knowlege came in handy for one shower game. You had to fill in sentences where you had the first half of a well known saying and you had to fill in the rest. Out of 16 only missed two. But there were several people who didn't know hardly any. When asked how I knew them I just wanted to tell them that that is what a good liberal arts degree will do for you. Give you lots of knowlege you won't use except at party games. LOL!!!! But I just shrugged and said I had probably read them somewhere. But really people who had never heard the saying when the going gets tough the tough get going or a stitch in time saves nine. Our educational system has a lot to answer for. LOL!!!

Good evening everyone,

For some reason I thought I had posted on this team either Sunday, or Monday because I had posted to the walk thread. I think either theres a ghost in my computer or I'm losing my mind, which very well might be the case.

Anyways It's The hotel was full both Saturday and Sunday night. I couldn't use either the pool or treadmill those days but it was nice enough to walk outside though. Sorry I didn't answer you before this.

My neice's team came in in the 40 percential in the relay combo teams. Woo hoo. There were over 8000 runners in the marathon, and it just keeps growing.

This weekend we're slow at the hotel. I'm aiming to take Sunday off because I haven't gotten my Memorial Day Holiday yet, and I'm the last one not to have except for my boss, and she's taking it this weekend. So everyone wish me luck on that. That will give me my three day weekend.

Hiya folks!

I see a 10lb loss in there...way to go Sami!!!

My eyes are drooping....long day at work, a run afterwards, now I took the meds the doc gave me and am about to fall asleep. Ugh! Least I squeezed a run in before the big snooze.

I am off to bed, work is coming right back at me in just a few hours. 2 more days....just 2 more days....

What a beautiful day in North Texas! If you live in the area, you need to go outside and enjoy it and be active!

Just came in from my 30min lunch-walk and am now enjoying fresh blackberries, cheese and crackers and a glass of fresh brewed organic green tea. All that is missing is the blanket, a good glass of wine, my book and of course...MORE TIME TO ENJOY IT!

Walked to "What a Wonderful Maker" by Jeremy Camp, just don't know how it couldn't be a great day with that running through your head!

Good morning all!! Well I guess its almost afternoon, man some days just fly by but when I'm at work I like that.

Carla glad to hear they found a brain during your MRI :) I have been so scatterbrained lately maybe I should see if I have one!

Kelley I say lifting babies and toddlers during the church service should at least count as strength.

Stormy09-WOW girl I am super impressed with your double workout-9.5 miles!! Way to go, reach around and pat yourself on the back because that's amazing!

Sharon big dogs crack me up they are the biggest babies when it comes to storms. I have a Pomeranian and 4 indoor cats and they all just ignore the storms. Now fireworks scare my Pom pretty good.

Toni yes I'm back and glad to be!! I have stayed in touch with Wendy she is doing well and recovering from surgery. Don't know about Joyce and Denise though so would love to know how they are doing. It does suprise me that you didn't lose a ton of weight over the weekend with all the lifting and hauling you did.

Jules glad to hear you are on the mend. I'm with you on the Cheesecake issue-if its there I will eat it, and enjoy it too!! Life is too short to do without anything that brings us pleasure its just all a matter of moderation. Listen to me preach-put a bag of Reese's in front of me and moderation is right out the window :)

Bry how far and fast did you ride today? I don't exercise in the am as I already get up at 5:00am and I just can't bring myself to get up any earlier.

Roc sure hope you got some good sleep and got in some great cardio and strength time.

Ok back to work-oh wait its lunch time SCORE!! :) I'm behaving and I brought a salad with tomatoe and tuna, with an apple for later. Now if I can just behave tonight.

Since there aren't any tall mountains here in TX.. hehe
I decided to stand on the tallest thread...

I am soo on cloud nine today. It's been 2 months since I started my journey of a better life style.. (don't call it a diet because it just makes me hungry) I decided to only weigh once a week.. its hard staying off that darn scale!!!
Well that scale has been going up a pound and down a pound and some. TODAY.... OMG Today I finally hit my 10 pound mark!! I know.. I know.. its just 10 pounds.. But boy, that 10 pounds wasn't happy to leave... It's a motivation that the next is gonna be a bit easier. I am stronger today that 2 months ago.. I feel better about my self today,,

After all the rambling,, I could have just summed up all up with,,, WOW emoticon

Good Morning Team!

I hope you're all doing well. We have an extra busy day planned for today, so I'm doing a fly-by post. We're going out of town for 5 days starting tomorrow afternoon, and I'm sure all of you moms know who gets to do all of the packing! We have a camp in the mountains 2 hours from here and will be spending Thursday night through next Tuesday down there getting some R&R and celebrating the end of the school year. I'm planning on keeping a written food and exercise log. Will I be able to input all of that on this site when I get home? We don't have internet access at our camp.

A big welcome to all of the newcomers. I've only been actively using this site for 7 weeks now and I can't tell you how encouraging it has been. Jump in, get involved, and stay motivated. You've come to the right place.

Bry - thanks for your morning motivation. We appreciate they time you take in getting us all going!

My DS is playing the piano for offertory in church this evening. He's done this a couple of times before, but this is by far his most advanced piece. (Revive Us Again). I'm excited to see him using his talents for the Lord. And, today is my birthday and this is one of my favorite hymns, so this is extra special for me.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

GM Everyone!

Glad to see so much activity here. I see everyone is really doing so well getting in their activity. I see lots of you are doing double workouts too. I'm really hoping you guys rub off on me. I am struggling. Food-wise I'm doing really good and eating as planned. No binges. I'm just having trouble getting motivated to get to the gym. My bike ride was canceled yesterday. No one to ride with. I could have gone to the gym but had a bad day at work so I choose to go home and piddle in my yard a little bit.

Today 2 of my co-workers have said they plan to ride in the afternoon so that will help me. You know working out, riding the bike makes me feel better about myself so I need to remember and embrace that. I had every intention of getting to the gym at 6 this morning. But, bad storm rolled through about 1 - 1:30 and my 'fready dog' was on the bed shaking so bad I can't even sleep.

Toni - I'm here. You must of missed my post from yesterday. I was mia for a couple days over the long weekend.

Stormy09 - WOW! 2 cardio sessions. You motivate me and WTG!

Patti575 - Glad your doctor was impressed with your weight loss. WTG!

Sharon - I'm in TX too & have a small 15 lb poodle that shakes the whole bed in a storm. Poor dog. Poor me. No sleep.

AspenJules - Good luck with your workout today. I hope you don't drop.

Kelley - Yes, I would chasing kids has to count as something. Good Luck.

Dablake, Rancherdreams, Woodspryte & Sexyat41 WELCOME!

Thanks for motivating me guys. Have an awesome day!

BRY where are you? How are you?

I am trying to get back on track myself. I had 2 back surgeries and it set me back. Can't dwell on the past, but move on to the future. Starting over does not mean you are failure, it just means that there were obstacles in your way to jump over the hurdle.

Hi. I'm new. I'm trying to really get motivated to get back on track. I've used FitDay successfully in the past. The tracking of everything really helps. But I think the 'people' aspect of SparkPeople might be the thing I need to actually stay on track.
This is a huge site and I think it will take a while before I can really find my way around.

Shalegra - the trick is to make notes as you read, or open another window and write your post in one as you read in the other. That's what I do when I'm not being lazy, LOL.

Wow Pattie - your day today sounds like mine yesterday, and I don't even work! I hope you get everything done and/or delegated successfully today!

Toni - I'm starting over again, and this week I'm concentrating on my water. I'm being better with the food but I decided I wasn't going to stress the cheesecake. There's only one or two more pieces left and then it will be gone, so I had a piece last night. Baby steps, always baby steps, LOL. Oh, and I've been talking with Wendy - she's been sick again, and I think she left this team (and a bunch of others) in an effort to simplify. I don't know if she'll 'chit chat' still when she feels better or not, but if you sparkmail her or leave a message on her page she'll reply.

Kerrie - it's tough to go slow, to be sure. I'm to the point now in my healing where the big, obvious improvements are done, and it doesn't seem like I'm doing that much better from one day to the next, but I think I am. It's just such a darn slow process!

Nera - before you know it you're going to be ready to run that place! LOL How's the pledge collecting coming?

Stormy - you're doing GREAT with the running! I'm really impressed and wish we lived closer so we could run together sometime... well, when I'm able to run again, anyway!

Welcome to all the newbies! This is a great board, full of support, advice, and friendship. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hiya to everyone I missed!

Well, yesterday was incredibly stressful and busy, running from one thing to the next. Hopefully today will slow down a bit. I'm meeting Paul at about 8:15, as soon as I drop DD off at work. I texted him last night and said I was counting on him to keep me sane, and I wanted him to work me to the point of dropping this morning, so... it's going to be interesting. LOL

After that and a short rest, I'll hit the elliptical today. I'm hoping I can manage an hour, but with today's workout being a legs day we'll see how much I can manage. 2 - 2 1/2 hours of working out sounds incredibly appealing, before coming back to my life, juggling car usage and everybody's needs. My goals for today?

8+ glasses of water, and eating when I'm supposed to, pretty much WHAT I'm supposed to. Log it.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Well, I'm in just AWE of Toni & Bry....you are so great at personalizing your post and including everyone by name. You guys have a special gift. I have ingested so much Aspartame over the years that my brain has a very short term memory...now where was I going with this thought...uhmmmmm

emoticon to Rancherdreams and Dablake, you guys will love this chit chat group. There are some amazing motivators in this SparkTeam.

Dablake - I guess gambling addictions aren't the only thing you have to worry about in Vegas...What ever happen to the old saying "What goes on in Vegas, Stays in Vegas". I think that should apply to all buffets!

Kelly - I spent 5 years teaching K-5 at Church, and believe me...I would count every minute of that as Cardio! Make sure you do all your hand motions and movements with the songs as you sing and that is as good as any Workout Video..lol

Stormy - Hope the 2-a-days get you back in the groove. I wish I had time to work out in the mornings, but am not able. So I do my main workout in the evenings. Try to do them as early as possible, that way I can get to bed at a decent hour. I have started walking for 30min of my lunch hour and that has helped my energy levels going into the sluggish afternoons in the office. Good Luck!

Bry - I had a hard time finding my get up and go yesterday as well....must have been the long weekend, but I did make myself workout...got my lunch-walk in and my 30mins on the Gazelle

Well....I know I didn't mention everyone, I'm trying...Running on 5 hours of sleep, and not all in a row. We had some major thunderstorms roll through around 1am, and my 53 lb lap dog is a "fready dog" he jumped up in bed with us and stayed until the last bolt of lightening went away. It's a good thing he is so lovable!

Have a Wonderful day...NOW GO GET YOUR CARDIO ON TEAM! emoticon

Hi everybody... sorry I've been mia, but it has been a crazy week here and it's a short week! First of all I had to go out of town yesterday... no biggie it was a short trip (or so I thought) it stormed all the way there and all the way home. Which meant my travel time was increased dramatically. I got back just in time to drop my stuff off at the office and make it to my doctor's appointment (P.S. I was down 10.5 since last time I saw him). He was optimistic about my progress and really I spent the whole appointment talking to him about SP and how much it has helped me. I showed him my food diaries and the fitness reports... he was impressed, but said that since they offer a weight loss program he wasn't really able to offer it to his patients, but if he casually mentioned it then that might be okay, so I left him the website info. Get back to the office to face total and complete chaos... I tell ya, sometimes I think this place can't get any crazier and then I'm proven wrong. The girls I walked with all left me emails telling me how I missed out and it was the best walk ever, etc. So I sent them one back and said that I was in another county, and at the doctor's office... but I'm back with them today.

Get in this morning (only been here 45 minutes) when my office door gets crowded with people telling me what all I need to do today. I just wrote it all down, but now that I'm looking at the list I think there is some delegation in order here. Did manage to take my vitamins (thank God) but haven't even had time to pour myself a cup of coffee - which just finished brewing. Well I gotta run, got lots on my agenda and I need to take time today because DD has half days and I have to pick her up!

I promise I will read and catch up with everyone later!

Life is an attitude, if you don't like your life, change your attitude!

Good Morning everyone

I did 2 cardio sessions yesterday. I did one at the gym in the morning, I ran 3 miles and walked 2 miles then in the evening my BF and I ran 1.5 miles and walked 3. I figured since I haven't been eating the best 2 workouts definitely wouldn't hurt. I've had a hard time getting back on track after my last cheat day.
I'm back at work for a few days but will be doing my workouts in the evenings after work.
Hope everyone has a great day and lets kick our workouts up a notch.

Good Morning all!!! I definitely need to get back on track with the food! Everything "extra" is gone now...maybe that will help.

I am off early this am to pick up the boys' altered suits. I do hope I am able to get my exercising in this afternoon. The evening is definitely out of the question on Wednesdays. I wonder if I can count my Church Nursery duty as cardio????? Maybe I'll get down on the floor with them and chase them around if I'm not able to get my cardio in...Do you think that will count?

Hope you all have a great morning!!! More energized that yesterday morning, right???

Welcome to all the newbies ~ It is great to see our chit chat growing!!

Good Morning!

Busy Busy Busy in here yesterday, and lots of newbies as well.

emoticon - Mamamia (congrat on the 3.2 pounds lost so far), Rancher and DaBlake! You will love Chit Chat. Great place to be for encouragement and support and just day to day chit chat.

Kelley- Sounds like you had a great day. Happy BDay to you son... our oldest will be 25 on the 31st and his 1st bday away from home as well. He is going to school in San Deigo.

Bry- did you ever find your get up a go? Some days are just like that.

Minnchick- poor weigh ins seem to be the realm today. mine was not pretty either which is discouraging cause I did well with nutrition this weekend, and got in hours and hours of heavy work in the yard.

Denise- time does fly by when you are doing the yard work. Always feels good after it is done.

Carla- Thank you. I use to "think" I hated yard work and I do when it comes to pulling weeds... because growing up that is all our mom would let us or make us do in the yard. Now that I can design and plant and do other things I really enjoy it, and it is a great stress releiver.

Jules- Step away from the cheese cake! I am having a rough time myself these days. Need to get back into the groove.

Alleycat- Hope your day got better

Kerrie- Good to see you back! Sounds like everything went great with the graduation. My fountain/pond is not large and as long as the water is running it does not get stagnet and attract skeets.

Shalegra- You had a very busy weekend, got alot done. good for you!

Sapphire- letting the kids go is hard. When my oldest moved out the first time, I would sit in his room and cry for hours... it was pathetic..LOL but then I see him more now that he does not live here than I did.

Roc- Kicking it in high gear today. Time for me to get in 2 good workouts a day! Lets get the blood pumping and metabolism working.

I know I missed a few... By the way has anyone heard from Wendy, Joyce, or Denise... we seem to have lost some of the team. Hope all is going well for them.

Have a great day all! Lets get moving!

Toni

Morning gang! Well, for most of you it's evening I guess....except Roc, you're on the night shift now too right? Kinda stinks, but you get used to it after awhile.

I am looking forward to another run today after work. Saw the doc yesterday and he told me what I'd been telling them all along...I've herniated a disc in my neck. Been there, done that, need to relax, etc etc.

So, since running blows off a lot of steam, that is where I shall go!!! And riding whenever I'm not running. I took his "relax" advice to heart, and will relax the only way I know how....by blowing it all out at the gym, on the road, and on the bike trails.....weee hooooooooo!!!

Aside from that, they did find a brain when they did the mri, and I must go use it now! Everyone have an excellent day....kick up the workouts a notch and keep the stress away!!!!

Hi, I am new to this, but here it goes. I had a great week. Spent a couple of days in Vegas with my husband and his dad (87 years young and loves to gamble, but can't drive). He played while we hung out at the pool and caught a show. Great time. I kept to a basic plan and when I got home tallied up the Calories for those few days. Wow! can that get away in a hurry. That motivated me to do something different and so here I am!

I made it through my son's birthday! I called him on his cell and sang "Happy Birthday" to him! He really enjoyed that.

We went to another graduation party this evening...I agree with the kids graduating this year!!! We have four in our church of appx. 100 graduating this year. How did I miss this baby boom 18 years ago??? My next son graduates high school next year...none this year, except in the fall from WVU.

Good night all...

Good evening team,
Glad to hear everyone had a good long weekend. I'm still stuck here on night shift, but I have been fitting in my workouts. Today I rode my bike with my son, and then did shoulders and back with free weights. I'm re-discovering how much I love riding my bike. I have a Harley, but I actually *enjoy* my bicycle more...lol.

Bry - I was shocked to hear you did'nt have energy this morning!! Glad to see you finally got in the groove.

Mamamia- welcome...this is the best team on SP. You will get a lot of support to help lift you from the doldrums, and keep you motivated here

Ok, is it just me or do we all have a kid graduating this year...LOL...where the heck did 18 years go!!

Let's all get up tomorrow, track our nutrition, and kick our workouts into high gear!!

I just got done logging my food and while Sparks thinks I ate too many calories I think I had just the right amount. I should have skipped the white rice we had with our stir fry tonight. I don't know why the hubby makes it when he knows I need to eat brown rice.

I have not signed up for a 5k yet. Just don't feel I am ready plus the price is a bit more than I care for right now. The ones I was looking at for June were all over $30 to sign up. I know they are for good causes but paying my bills is a good cause too. LOL!!!

Off with the son to get pleges for the bike a thon.

Today was a pretty decent day for me. I got my car washed ( and of course it has rained since I got it done..lol)and did some things that couldn't get done with kids around. Am making a picture collage for my son's lock-in on graduation night. I don't think I am ready to let my first born go. I mean he is 18 and he has a good head on his shoulders but it just seems like yesterday when I brought his home from the hospital.
I made all my levels for nutrition today. Was not over or under. It is the second time this week. I am so proud of myself. I am also finding that I am not hungry all the time. That is a feat in itself. Before I started doing this I wouldn't eat hardly at all during the day but at night I was like an eating machine. Now I am comfortable. That is nice to have.
A day like today makes me think that I can actually lose the weight this time.
Thanks to all who post on here. It helps me out immensely, when I am feeling like I am the only one in the world who is struggling...if you know what I mean.

I got 60 mins on the elip. & burned 607. That's the most cal. of have ever burned in one WO.
But it's my eating that I have to watch, especially at night...

sounds like everyone's getting their WO in today!

Good Afternoon everyone....Work was a little backed up this morning with the long weekend, so I'm just getting a chance to check in.

Sounds like everyone had a great 3 days.

Saturday was a whirl wind for me, my son had a double header about 30mins north of our place. Won one, lost one...I got to go to the first game, which we won, before I had to go back toward the house and pick up my daughter to take her 20min the other direction to the salon, for pre-prom preparations. I did indulge in a pedi while I was there, and my feet thanked me all afternoon. emoticon Got Emily off to Prom around 5:30 and by 9:30 I was passed out in my bed.

Around 2am all the girls showed up after Prom and pitched a tent in the backyard and slept over. So we all slept in on Sunday. Then I had some kind of burst of energy, because I scrubbed my kitchen and did 4 loads laundry. That evening just curled up on the couch with my husband and watched tv.

Monday was absolutely beautiful here. The kids went of to a county fair with friends early that morning, so I threw on my tennies & Ipod and went for a 2.5 mile walk, washed both cars, inside and out, finished laundry and braved wal-mart for my weekly work groceries.

So, I didn't have a very exciting weekend, but boy did I get a lot done! This is the most energy I have had in a long time. And it is the first time in a long time I have really cared about the messy state of my house. It feels really good!

Well, my co-worker has returned, which means I can now go for my lunch time walk....I feel the need for Fresh Air! emoticon

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Hello all I've been MIA for a while as my son graduated high school on Friday the 22nd. It was a great celebration-he had 575 in his class so it was also long. By the time the after party was over it was 1:00am. Most of the family headed home Sunday, my parents left yesterday and I'll tell you I was glad to get my bed back-I'm tired from my vacation and need more vacation :)

Lets see what I can remember from the posts:

Bry way to go on keeping up with the bike rides and encouraging everyone!!

Roc great job on the 2lbs down and good luck on finding that 2nd job, I'm thinking about that myself I would love to pay down the credit cards.

Toni went to your page and looked at the fountain and boy is that pretty!! I would love to have a fountain/koa pond outback but hubby said no(thinks it will just breed mosquitos).

Jules glad to hear you are healing up and getting back into exercise the slow and steady route so as not to injure the leg worse, I know going slow for you must be hard. No worries you'll be running tri's again before you know it :)

Neraus that was sweet of you to find a bike and give it to your sister-I hope your good Karma comes back to give you an amazing bike soon. I wish I lived closer to you I would love to meet up and play some tennis. Have you signed up for a 5K yet? I need to just to have that commitment to kick my butt into gear.

Val are you getting out there and walking with your Dad still? I've been slacking big time on the exercise(ok and eating too) over the graduation week but now I really need to get back to it.

Mary did you have a full hotel this past Memorial Weekend? Do you get to use the hotel gym and swimming pool during off hours?

I know I'm missing a ton of the new members and I really will get better about writting notes to each of you-its just too much to catch up on if you miss more then a day!! I am wishing you all the best, keep going strong, we can all do this together!! :)
