I'm overseas and I must be watching last season because the people on the website don't look familiar. I watched several episodes this year. But I have to say that I'm not really fond of the show. There were too many episodes when someone who'd put in a ton of effort at exercise and changing lifelong eating habits was brought to tears because they were in a setup that made losing 2-4 pounds in a week seem like a failure. Come On.
We know how much effort goes into changing one's habits. We know how much food can be used as a crutch. And someone who is working to overcome this and does in fact steadily lose a couple pounds a week walks away feeling like they've done something wrong. I think this is incredibly corrosive.
I would also like to see everyone stay for the whole duration. Get rid of the whole voting off stuff. Replace it with votes each week to the person they think put forth the most effort and combine that with the metric of weight loss, measurement changes and changes in blood work.
I think it is exciting TV, in the same way that watching a shark attack on Animal Planet is exciting. But it's not something for me to follow.
Not trying to put down fans of the show. I just found that it made me feel really sad for the contestants. And I wonder how many of them end up with even worse eating problems than at the outset. How many go home from the middle of the season deciding that they really can't change their habits.

Tara really deserved it! I really like Mike and would have been ok with him too but I did not like the way his Dad played the game and thought Mike got a little to sneaky at the end too but hey...it is a game.
My biggest reason for not being thrilled with Helen is primarily that she agreed/opted to have her daughter go home mid season as opposed to her. I know the claim is they agreed but whatever happened to kids not always knowing what's best.
Her daughter was in denial and needed to be there. As a mother to a daughter, there is no way I could let my daughter go home with that kind of weight to lose...I would have had to sacrifice myself.
In the end her daughter did lose a very respectable amount of weight at home but I still was a little dissapointed that Helen was the winner

The at home players results were pretty amazing...JERRY - 64 years old and 177 pounds. 177 pounds...I can't help but wonder if somewhere in that time he had been ill??? That is crazy. But it does spark the question "What is my excuse if a 64 year old man can do it?"

And great job Kristen! I do not love the new hair do but she looks great. You can tell some of the players are struggling more than others but the lowest weight loss was around 43 pounds. BAsed on their size and a 6 month time frame, that is not THAT much but a healthy amount in the "normal world" and WAY more than I am able to do.

Look forward to the next season. I have heard some "rumblings" about Jillian not returning. I would be really bummed unless it meant that she was free to come to my house and whip me into shapte.

I can't believe Helen won. I thought she looked sick. She was way too skinny. I wanted either Mike or Tara but not her. I didn't care for her.

This is the first season I've watched. I loved Kristin and was really upset when she got sent home. I was really mad at Ron and Mike over that. I am rooting for Tara, although I'm not crazy about her either. She's just the best of who is left in my opinion. I wanted Kristin to win, and if not her then Felipe.

I love the biggest loser. I have been watching since the very 1st season. This season I wanted to see of the blue teams members win, but since they have voted off all my favorites I would like to see Tara win, because Mike and his dad are back stabbers (especially Ron) don't want Helen to win because she voted Felipe off and just gave Mike and Ron a double shot at winning but we will see on Tuesday.

My husband he's my inspiration!!!!

My daughter and I finally had time last night to watch Tuesday's episode. It was really amazing to review the differences in everyone's body shape and their health. Because they are older, I do feel motivated seeing that both Helen and Ron made it to the final. I know Ron is the least popular at this point because of his scheming. But I was thinking about the fact that with his limitations, he is not doing the crazy, all-out training that the other contestants are, and he is still losing weight steadily. That sorta gives me hope that as long as I try to stick with a reasonable fitness plan that works within my life, I can keep making progress too.

love the show, and yes it is unrealistic because the real world isn't there all the time, but hey it's tv. Anyways I'm routing for Helen because she's the under dog, and may just surprise everyone.

I love the show..I am addicted and do not miss an episode...gotta love the dvr. I really liked mandi at the beginning then kristin. I would route for mike but he and evryone else has been so manipulated by his dad that I have to saw tara is my vote...she has an amazing drive and attitude...I agree that it is a bit unrealistic since this is all they focus on but if you saw a while back a gal who got voted off week 1 came back at week 14 or 15 and had lost 87 lbs at home by herself...how is that possible?
sometimes the show depresses me but mostly makes me want to work harder

I loved Kristen's positive attitude! I missed last week, so I'm not sure who got sent home.
I do have some mixed feelings about the whole thing, since it is so unrealistic to live that way, and I don't think they emphasize the nutritional side of things as much as they should. But overall it sends a good message that if you set goals, follow a plan, and are willing to keep working at it, you can lose weight and get in shape.
Personally, I don't like Jillian much. I know she gets results for people, but I think she is too harsh. Seems to me there are ways to motivate people without yelling at them and putting them down.

Love the show -- I find it very inspiring. The point that exercise & diet will make a difference over the long run.

I love the show as well. I just started watching it last season, but haven't missed a show since.

I like it when they give you tips on exercise and eating as well. I think it is great motivation to see what can be accomplished with hard work. Now I know they work out hours each day and that isn't possible in the real world, but it can still be done, just with more time.

I was hoping Kristen would win, but now she is gone I am hoping to see Mike get it, but I think Tara may be the big winner.

Love the show. I get exercise ideas from it, stuff I wouldn't think of. I think Mike will win it,Ron probably won't because of physical limitations, but I'm good with any of them. I love Tara, and Helen is an inspiration to all older people!!!

I like it, but never get to watch the whole thing, always something else comes up, or I forget... Oh Well, I like what I get, when I can.

Starting Spark Weight in September 2010; 272 pounds. Been on and off a few times like a yo-yo. And here I am at 293 in March of 2017. I joined a work group for 'Weigh-down Wednesday' 12 week challenge. And came back to SP because I knew it worked.

I love that show...I've watched every season. It is very inspiring. Of course I haven't been that inspired 'cause I have only lost 5 lbs this yr. LOL! I am trying to get motivated and I have been exercising more and eating better. Any way, I like this season for that simple fact that there was not the cat fighting that went on last season...Ron was kind of deceiving...but hey, it's a game. I hope Tara or Helen win it.

I have mixed feelings about the show. I watch it every week but some of the stuff they have people do on there just doesn't seem safe. One constestant had a hairline fracture in her hip. I think if she had done a more moderate approach she wouldn't have been injured so severly. I love to see how they end up. It can be really amazing what they can accomplish. Just remember it is entertainment and not a blue print on how to do weight loss.

I'm new to spark people. From reading the responses, I'm in the minority. I don't like the show. I feel bad when I watch it. I could do what they do if I didn't work, had someone cooking for me, had someone pushing me in exercise and had no other stresses, but myself.
