I had a great start to my morning, I went to a spin class and then I did a Zumba class. they were great.

2BEFIT - great that you did that Turbo Jam DVD. It really gives me work out, and I really feel good when I work out before I go to work. That is one of my goal to do at least two work outs per day, one in the AM and another in the PM.

Keep it going.

GETINFITIN40 I did turbo jam this morning too! Whoo hoo!!!! Today is day #5 that I got up early to workout before going to work. So proud of myself! Now to get through a 3 day weekend.

It was beautiful weather here today, so I pushed the double stroller on some pretty hilly terrain, skipped rocks with the kids at the river, then huffed it back home. Burned a total of 880 calories, per my heart rate monitor.

Taking a rest day tomorrow, haven't taken one in two weeks, I was afraid one day would turn into two when I first got back into exercising. Now I've hit that point where I sorta crave it so I am ok with taking a rest day. emoticon

walked 2.4 miles total, 1.8 this morning and then .6 of a mile walking to and from a local store. I also did a SparkPeople Boot Camp core workout (ow...stomach muscles cramped).

Wow CHRGRFAN, 27 miles! That's awesome!

Doug - great job on the eliptical! When I had a gym membership that was my favorite machine to work out on, although at first I thought it was pure torture and I can totally relate to not being able to do more than 5 minutes the first time out. I was up to 30 - 40 min workouts when I had to give up the gym membership. If I could afford it, that is the one big machine I'd own.

Rediscover - I walk my dogs when I go too. They are older, so by my third lap they are usually starting to drag and sometimes I leave them in the fence before hitting my last lap. Before they get tired though, they are funny, because whenever we approach our driveway they both go to the far end of the leashes on the opposite side of the road from our house and PULLLLLL as if to say, "what house? I don't see a house? we don't live anywhere near here, keep walking, Mom!" lol

We started out on a 30-mile bike ride. I am NOT an avid bike rider. I've gone on short rides but last weekend went on a 12-mile ride. Don't ask what I was thinking this morning because I'm really not sure. I made it to mile 27 and then hit a wall (not literally - just didn't want to go any further). My husband went and got the car and came back and got me with the bike rack.

I was actually mad at myself for not riding the 3 additional miles. Now that I'm home, cooled off and fed, I realize how stupid that was of me to even think about the 3 miles and not be excited about the 27 miles that I went. Hmmm, think it's one of those lessons that I need to learn as I try to live a healthy life...be thankful and celebrate ALL steps (or pedals) in the right direction.

I had some strength in me yesterday did 120mins. on the elliptical machine. Normally I do 20-40mins. Back in January when I started I could barely do 5mins. Love this site and all of the support too. Everyone's success and challenges are inspiring. emoticon

I had a brain tumor removed 6 weeks ago so I have not been very active for the last few months. Yesterday and today I went outside and pulled weeds... Oh my gosh... I can hardly walk and it hurts to sit down and get up... but I feel SOO good.. I can't wait to get back into exercising and getting my energy back!

I started the day with the SP beginners challenge. Yeah, I know its sappy, but for me it's a fast brisk workout that doesn't throw my day off. Maybe in time I will incorporate other things in it, but I think I will always do it. Benny

Today was a day of walking further then most days. I have two new hips now and they are getting so much better but the back is not in shape. I'm working on that now and doing much further and not in as much pain. I can get to liking this after 12 years of bad hips. No more of that. If I get the pounds down then the back will get better.
