My SPAT didn't count my steps when I did the WII Walk It Off game. I walked for over an hour too. Well, that's okay. At least it did earlier when I was playing ball with the dog and dragging the pastures. :D

I don't always log all my exercise any more partly for that reason. I might long my walking in to keep my miles going, especially if I did a lot of walking. But I usually don't track my house work any more or my weight lifting any more. The house work throws me over like you said. And the weights I hate having to count rep and such, and some it of make me figure out the calories myself too. It's part of why I kept up with MFP as it helped me to figure out the calories burned for the stuff that SP won't tell me. I just stopped logging a lot of stuff in both of them as it took so long to do, and I really don't need to keep that info for myself any more to my thinking. I pretty much know what I can eat and what will throw me over too. I have done this enough to know what fast foods are okay and which ones will blow my day. My problem is more dealing with the fact that the house is always filled with more junk food then good healthy fresh or frozen fruits, veggies and whole foods. And dealing with stress eating. And the temptation to try a little of everything at the pot luck parties at work. But I am getting better at it. We had a big pot luck party at one of the offices Wed night and I was good about not trying to have a little of each of the desserts and other items. I made myself a big portion of salad, so it was my second salad for the day and I had a little chicken, a little rice. And then I tried a cupcake that was suppose to be glutten free and free of other stuff too, I forgot what all they said about it. But it was suppose to be a really healthy cup cake, so I had to try it too see what all the fuse was and it was really good. But there were cookies, cakes, pudding breads and lots of other good looking stuff too. That is where it can be a little hard to judge how many calories it is because you don't see any lables most of the time. But you can still kind of guess it from other similar stuff you have eat before. I always have kept a paper list that I put everything that I ate down on, I don't always list the calories or such on it, but I list it too keep me accountable to myself for what I am eating and when and why.

I am so angry with myself. I have been steadily gaining the past few weeks. I went over my menus and I think the calories they require on the nutrition tracker are just too many. Every time i change it to what my doc told me to do, 1200 to 1500 calories, it increases because my workouts show that I am not getting enough! Every time I gain. I am about to stop using the tracker and hand write them out! I know what I can eat and what I can't to lose.

Okay, I feel better now! :D

Please vent away about what ever might be bothering you. It could be about your weight loss journey or something else entirely, as what ever is bothering us can lead to us binge eating or making choices that are not so good for us, or even make us feel depressed. And maybe by chatting about it in here some one else might give you good ideas that might just help you solve the issue or better handle the issue.

And if you don't want to post it in here, but still want help, then think about joining our new thread "Accountability/Encouragement Partners" and find some one that you feel comfortable enough with to chat in private about what ever is bothering you.

I have been going down in weight little by little each day since my drs visit. I don't pay attention to my drs scale either, as I know they always weigh me with my shoes and jacket on, which I don't do at home. And I don't go there that often either, so to me I am better off using my Wii to keep track of it.
Just do what you can, I don't get to use our Wii all the time either because my boyfriend bought it and his young son and his neighbor friend hog it when his son is with us. By I use it when he is at school, or at his mom's house, or when he is playing out side, or on his computer. Can you use it some other time when he is not using it by yourself? What about just walking on your own either inside or out side? Or Jump rope is a great calorie burner and really cheap to buy one. Even house work, yard work, gardening and a lot of other things can burn some calories off. All my best to you always.

So I go to the dr for my annual check up and I say to the nurse Your scale makes me 6 lbs heavier than at home. Her response yes we know but that's the weight we go by. OMG! I got on a scale at the hospital when I was with my hubby and it was the same as home so that is the # I am going to stick with here.

Hubby and I are trying to make the effort to exercise with our Wii. We have 3 exercise as well as fun stuff to help us get up and move but Hubby can't do any of them for very long. Just about the time I am starting to get my sweat on hubby needs to stop and unfortunately when he stops I have to stop. I get more in only when he sleeps. I know I should put my foot down but it's hard to when he is making a big effort with his disabilities and all. Physically I am in better shape, I have a few things wrong but am working though them.
uuuuggggg I don't know.

Thanks Dolly, and they always weigh me with my shoes and jacket/sweater on which I don't do at home. I checked my notes and from their records I put on 3 lbs, but from my records I am down a little from my last visit. And I am still going down a little more each day. I never worry about 1-5 lbs going up or down as I know your body can vary every day a few lbs depending on when you are weighing yourself. I think they were expecting another big drop in weight like I was doing when I was training for the 5 K. But since I am having discomfort on my right side and they told me not to run, I haven't been doing all that training like before. I have just been doing a lot of walking and house work and other stuff like they told me to do. And I didn't expect to lose a lot during the holidays, I was just glad I didn't go way up during the holidays. Oh well, I am doing this for me, not them or anyone else!

It's best to take the minor changes in weight (2-4 lbs) with grains of salt. Weight fluctuates as much every few days due to hormonal changes and water retention... What do those two "new ladies" know? They're not you. They don't know your body the way you do. They don't live with you or know your health history...

Well my doctor's visit was kind of ruff, lol. I had two new ladies talking to be instead of my doctor. The first one just did the normal interview questions, blood pressure, temp stuff. But the second one jumped on me and said that I had gained 4 lbs since that last time I was there in Oct. Which I don't think happened, I will have to look at my records on that. But I know I had been bouncing up and down a little over the last few months but over all I thought I was going down! I know I have lost about 20 Lbs since the start, so that should count for something. I didn't think that the would do blood work up today since they had me come in at 3:30 pm instead in the morning and fasting. But they did and told me to come back in 8 weeks and bring a 3 day food diary with me when I come too. I did tell them what I had been eating and they were fine with my oatmeal breakfast, salad for lunch and fruit, veggies, or trail mix for snacks, but were not all that happy about some of the stuff I have for dinner. I didn't tell them that I had some hot wings for dinner last night, that would have really not gone over well even thought I didn't eat much. Oh well I got two months to try to turn it around.

I hope this finds everyone doing fine. I have been really busy with personal matters lately. We have two vehicles broke down in the drive way, so BF has our truck to go to work right now. So I am stuck at home or walking where ever I want or need to go. We are also having a problem with mail box tampering and theft at the house lately too, so I have been dealing with the Postal Inspector about that. And we also have been having issues with his son not bring home his home work or wanting to do his home work or testing in school. So just a lot of different stuff going on right now.

It sounds small after reading the other vents but I'm just tired of being tired! (I think I overexercised a little last week and am feeling the burnout now.) Trying to take it a little easier and have lots of water in case dehydration is a factor.

Julia, I didn't have you in any of my other teams, but I found "Perimenopause to Menopause: what should you expect" in your teams that sounds like will be a good fit for me, so see you there, if you are still in that one. And if not, I will miss you, but I think the new team will have some good info for me and my hot/cold flashes and restless sleep. And I totally understand! And Henry has been begging for some time for us to get an Xbox too, luckily his mom just got it for him for Christmas, so he can play it there. But I am sure he will still keep on us to upgrade to Wii U and or get an Xbox too. But we have no plans on changing any time soon. Take care and all my best to you and your's always.

Hi - for a variety of reasons, mostly lack of space, I'm really not using the Wii much the past year. I'm more active in other teams. So I am going to leave this team for now. I can rejoin it when we get the clutter out of my life and I have both the mental and physical space available to do Wii again (and you won't believe the pressure from a teenager wanting me to switch to Xbox or other similar devices!! Arrrgh!!)...

Let me be the first to vent here on this new board.

I'm sick and tired of my PTT/ankle/foot/leg issues. I want to walk normally and be physically active again. I want my doctors to use REAL EMPIRICAL SCIENCE to help with my medical issues and not be so iffy and make *guesses* as to what is happening. I want continuity of care instead of me having to see multiple different specialists for second and third opinions, and be told a different diagnosis/treatment plan each and every time...What's happened to the doctors that they seem so inept? I also want my male primary care physician to stop trying to pressure me into doing a pap smear/breast exam when I visit him specifically for my medical complaint of PTT/ankle/foot. I already said "NO!" and once should be sufficient and heeded. Grrr! I don't care if it's to his and the hospital/insurance's advantage that I have these preventive health screens performed by him instead of a gynecologist for cost-containment purposes. I don't want a strange man to be touching my private parts when I have no family/genetic history of cervical or breast cancer, and my last screens 3-4 years ago were negative AND there are risks to my reproductive organs if he doesn't perform them correctly, AND I prefer to have a female specialist/gynecologist to do these screens on me. This may be considered "prudish" but I do NOT care. My body is MINE and I can do as I choose.
