I'm afraid I haven't been doing it seriously and probably won't for one more week. I keep feeling that with all the interruptions I've had, it's been a far cry from a full fledged attempt. School, for me, is done on June 9 and after that, I'm much more able to concentrate on ME. My official "start" date will be Saturday, June 12. Until then, I'm trying to just remember to add a MUFA to at least one meal a day. Thanks for asking and checking in!

emoticon Shirls, we have paid up to R15 for an average sized avocado.

We do have a tree which only bears every second year do not know how to get it to bear every year?

Enjoy your avocado's. emoticon

Yep! Wish I had that problem.
Last store I was in was advertising them for $1 per avocado.

My brother has an apricot tree in his yard like that, it just keeps giving and giving. It forced him, back in his young single days, to become quite proficient at pureeing and canning them. Those were some of the best birthday gifts ever!

So can you freeze/can avocados for a rainy day?
OK, now I re-read and see that you are already freezing them.
Guess you won't be at a loss to find a mufa for awhile!

huh, you need to find some local FBDers -- I don't eat enough avocado because I'm the only one in the house who will eat them, so I don't get them often enough! Maybe you need to have an avocado party -- everyone bring something for guacamole and everyone leaves with an avocado!

My fridge is full of them. There's not much space for anything else. My freezer has half my tupperware containers full of mashed avo with lemon juice. And that darned tree keeps delivering a couple more every day. I take bags of them to work and most people say no thanks, I also have a tree. Since the maximum serving is only a quarter avocado, my husband and I are having a hard time getting through them. Looks like I'll have to forgo my other MUFAs for a while and eat avos three times a day emoticon
