I make lots of meals at home because I enjoy cooking and saving money and I feel like I can make it better at home for cheaper. I tried this last night because I love beets, but being PA Dutch that means they are pickled with vinegar and lots of sugar, with eggs of course. emoticon . I thought this was good and I enjoyed it. My husband said nah he didn't care for it and my 17 year old said no way he isn't even going to try it cause he doesn't like beets with sugar let alone with out.. It's an easy recipe too!

I put this activity marker "Make a meal at home" on my start page and I wondered if any of the rest of you did the same thing. This is why: If you prepare a covered dish -- not a whole meal at home -- but take that dish to a get together where others have prepared a dish, have you considered that a 'Make a meal at home'? I have because of the home cooking done, but wondered, with all of the summer activities, if any of you have done the same thing.

Since I am not a cat, this curiosity should not do me in. emoticon
