Well, last week was a doozy. DGS tested positive for covid emoticon hes feeling ok, though just tired and achy. He broke out in hives, that has passed for now. Rest of fam negative so far. They retest on the 10th. That plus the heat pushed us back in the trailer and headed for cooler country. We found solitude and delightful temps on Mt. Hood's Clear lake. We had about a half acre of campground to ourselves. Hiking, biking and R&R! We are back at home. Mid 90s today. One more day of heat to.orrow then mid 80's perfection.

Low 70s when I walked the Buds this morning. I think the high is 84. Very doable. I have been known to assist with a bucket of ice in front of a fan. Works pretty well. Dad did that when we drove through Death Valley when I was a kid. He bought a couple of ice blocks and put them in a bucket on the floor of the pick up. It was wonderful. Because at 112 degrees open windows do not help.

106 today. Even the air conditioner in out trailer was maxed out! Face in fan later this afternoon. We took a bike ride last night to the river, it helped. Truly the dog days.

So happy for your walks Cathy. You are right, just keep moving. I find too that it helps with the pain. Happy times with the kids at the river!

Yes, it has been perfect. High of 85 today so going to the beach with kids to play in the kayaks and boat and possibly jet skis. On a plus note, I have been getting up without crying and I have been able to walk a mile each day for the last three days. So grateful to be exercising again. I think it helps with the pain. It also is a tremendous mood booster.

River beach, not ocean. It is only about two miles from my house.

Totally cloudy this morning and totally sunny this evening. Nice and I like the coolish low 70s.

We have deer help too with pruning and sampling. Lucky for us, the neighbor has an elderberry bush-tree. It's their favorite. Sounds like a great reference Cathy. Eat, cook, grow. emoticon I'll check it out. 90 today with a few clouds, ideal.

Will check out the site. The vines are about 7 ft tall or more. Have decided I grow good vines but they are not edible

The cherry tomatoes are coming on in the greenhouse. So far the deer haven't discovered them. They recently ravaged my potato patch. They never bothered it before. I need to plant some delectables outside for them so they stay out of my potatoes. We have a coastal mist going here today. So still spring like.

You might want to check out a tomato pruning video. The bushiness may be inhibiting tomato growth. I just learned about that this year on the BBC show Grow, Cook, Eat.
