I guess mine is a nice combination of both - but it's really dictated by the route. I've just recently changed mine up so that i increased the distance a bit and added more hills, but i've tried to keep to about the same amount of time. Since I walk really early in the morning while it's still dark, it's important that i have a few routes mapped that are well lit

I usually give myself 50 minutes and I try to hit 3 miles or more in that time. I'm recovering from knee surgery so I'm taking it slowly. I hope to be able to soon do 5 miles or more in that time.

Restarting the treadmill slowly as I did an injury to my knee from jogging on treadmill. Should have known better ;(

Just beginning a new program - and am challenged to walk 30 minutes for 30 days. Today is Day #5 on my plan, and my Day #5 walk. Fortunatly this week, has been beautiful in our area for walking outdoors and I have a neighborhood that includes a quiet, uphill trek.

Also, down 5 lbs. this week as well!

I'm starting off slow I'm only doing 1 mile in 30 minutes, sometimes I do 2 in 45. At first I was huffing and puffing just to do one mile (there's a lot of hills) and now I realize that I love that feeling so I'm going to push it up to 2 consistently.

Three weeks ago I started walking with a friend. We walk 5 miles in 1 hour and 40 minutes. We walk 3 times a week and it feels great.

I typically track miles, steps a day and minutes. Once in a while I'll forget to wear my pedometer though and will use the map feature on here to figure out my miles. The other day I walked 3 miles, it was great! emoticon
