It's my favorite day of the week, Sunday !!

I weighed in for the end of the challenge !
I did good !

My goal for this week between challenges
is to get all my ducks in a row so I can make
the most of the next challenge.

Spring clean my bathroom
Cull and organize the counter
Clean, cull, and organize my bedside table
Set up new clock
Set up and organize new purse and wallet
More as I go along

I got 1/2 of my rewards last night.
I had my hair trimmed, deep conditioned,
and eyebrows waxed. Maybe get my
mani-pedi on Mon. dh took his drone
out to "play" today. he couldn't get where
he wanted to go, so he came home and I left. ;-)

The fingernails are real. ;-)
Hope everyone is having a great weekend !!

Good afternoon LoL team !

I got quite a bit done yesterday. Washed
2 loads of towels, a load of kitchen cloths,
cleaned my CPAP, sprayed for weeds,
and the biggie ... a good, not the best, but
good refrigerator purge and shelf cleaning.
I usually remove everything and all the parts
are given a good soak in the tub.

Good weekend to all !

IT'S OUR LAST DAY!! Don't forget to weigh in tomorrow. Our final weight!!
You completed my first challenge!! Let's do it again!! See you in a week.
I am going to put up a new chat thread on Monday- for all the team mates to introduce themselves and get acquainted with each other!! Our first challenge involves using a SP Challenge so I'll need everyone to join in. I'll get the info out sometime after Mon.

During your week off stay on track. Watch what you eat-- NO CHEATING-- don't forget to exercise.. AND MOST OF ALL BE PROUD OF YOURSELF & GIVE YOURSELF A BIG HUG-- YOU ARE AN emoticon PERSON! Remember that!

Awesome job Paula! You need to copy that post and post it in the daily chat for all the rest of the team to see!! And keep bragging! It's a great way to celebrate and recognize your achievements! I do it all the time. And it encourages YOU to continue on your journey!! In fact I have an assignment for you during our week break -- I want you to write a blog on your spark page- Comparing your fitness level 12 weeks ago to now! List the all the new exercises you do now and how they have helped. Your weight loss! your dr. visit. And I also want to brag on the community feed about your success!

Em I'm glad you are feeling better. You are doing great!!

On the BLC team we are playing Blackjack- and boy is it different than mine. they are trying to kill me. One of the things is 4 sets of 15 reps-- emoticon
I think I discovered these different kind of challenges around the 1st of the year & I love them. They really have helped me and I'm so glad I can share the concept with you. I make ours a little easier than BLC and a little more challenging than 5% or X-weighted. I want to thank you for being on my team. It's been so much fun. Tomorrow is our last day!! Be sure to get you final weigh in on Sunday!! I hope we all make our goals. My eating disaster has done my weight damage. So close-- I hope I make. I was there once.

Gee, I wish I had been better about posting in our Chat Thread about our Challenge. I feel like I have been selfish and NOW, I feel like I am going to be a braggart. REALLY SORRY, and hope you will see this as me just celebrating my success.

Yesterday, I had an appointment with my PCP for my annual physical. I couldn't be happier. ALL is good and ALL is well. She is very proud of me and I got a STAR on my printout with all of the details per my visit. The good news started on the way into my exam room, at the SCALE for my weigh-in and I had lost weight. i don't trust my scale at home because it has been wrong so many times. When we got into the exam room, Courtney, the med assistant looked up my weight on my last visit, and I had lost 19 pounds!!! emoticon

That means that the weight that I lost during our Weight Loss Challenge is correct. I AM SO THRILLED emoticon

I hope you will join the upcoming Challenge, BECAUSE it works. Let's DO THIS TOGETHER and have some FUN along the way. emoticon

Rhonda Jo, so proud of you for staying within
your calorie range You are doing great !!

The new challenge sounds wonderful !!

I have fallen off the DARE and challenge wagon .
I got some "bad" news this weekend. It's a long
story. The short version is my oldest half-sister
that I have never met died in 2016. The youngest
half-sister found her obit. It is hard when you can't
resolve old circumstances.

I also gained back 2 lb. which messed me up as well.
I will see what I can do to salvage the week. This morning
I am back down 1 lb. Hoping I can stay at 10 lbs down
so I can honor my goal for the challenge..

I am hoping all of you are doing well.

Em

Good Morning!! I barely stayed in my calorie range. I started giving in towards the end of the night. But I made it. So that's another day toward my mani/pedi bonus!!

Today is my official weigh-in day and it's a sad one! I gained a pound! That's what I get for eating more and exercising less!

Today is my rest day but I did 1.5 mile walk with my furbuddy. I didn't walk the other dogs because my toe doesn't like me today. Every few days or so it wants to give me trouble.

I've been working on our next challenge. The first 4 weeks we are spending on goals and nutrition. Then I think we will move into ST.. Get those muscles working for us! Spend a month on fitness-(with some nutrition) and the last 4 weeks I'm thinking will be all about "ME" as in you! Rewards-pamper-self confidence-it's important to notice how well we are doing (and ST & nutrition) I think that's what I am doing! Only have the first 3 weeks planned. But It will be a good one. We will cover subjects about -- water- veggies- goals- ST & cardio- steps- NEAT- WE WILL SUCCEED! I KNOW WE CAN DO THIS!!

Good Morning!

Em don't feel bad. Anytime I make homemade soups with or w/o pasta I eat & eat & eat-- I'll eat the whole pot in one day. Which is enough for 10 people. In fact I actually feel sick and keep eating. I tried taking all the servings and freeze them- sometimes that works. SOMETIMES!

emoticon I didn't go over my calories yesterday!! That makes 2 days I made my DARE bonus.

I just had breakfast- an white egg omelet with spinach and tarter tots. And I'm still hungry! And I'm on my 5th bottle of water. Already done my ST and emoticon

I plan to make shrimp stir-fry for lunch: Cod-Asian veggie mix-bake potato for dinner. Maybe another strawberry shake for snack-it's 5 frozen strawberries & 8 oz of non fat milk. It's cold & thick and feels like a treat!

Have a great day and remember: "A body at rest wants to stay at rest. A body in motion wants to stay in motion."

Today hasn't been a good day for eating within my limits.
The bad thing about lo-carb, it only works when you stay
away from carbs. dh come home tonight and made vermicelli
soup (turkey broth from wings, vermicelli noodles, a couple
of spices and pieces of turkey) So yummy. I had already
eaten more than I should. Will begin again tomorrow.

WOW! I keep going over on my calories!! I do good almost all day and evening time I blow it! I start eating bowls of cereal! And fruit! I will try again today NOT to go over!

I walked the dogs and did my strength exercises. Today is not a ST day but needed to do them for another challenge. I woke up lazy.

Have a great day!!

WHAT AN emoticon DAY!!

My day started off with my hasfit workout; then I took dog for a short walk today (my toe started hurting) AND NOW I HAVE FINISHED MY LCW emoticon and I really love the concept of flipping the coin! We need to try this concept too! Flip HEADS or TAILS!
I did 2 complete sets!! I feel energized!!
My flips::
T- 10 LUNGES (lately I have a hard time with balance on this one- so I use the couch arm for support.
H- 25 Jumping Jacks!!
T- 15-Tricep dips bent knee (still hate this one-but getting better)
H-30 second plank!
T-20 on each side Lying abduction! piece of cake!!
T-30 Dumbbell Cross Punches!!
H-15 Dumbbell squat hammer curls (too easy-but didn't have energy to up to sumo squat)
H-20-Wood Chops (on each side)

BRING IT ON!!!

Okay Next Round we will try a real dice game. Do you think you might want to try flipping a coin to do a ST workout? REMEMBER YOU CAN ALWAYS MODIFY!!

Mondays darts:
Sleep 10
ST 0
water 30
cardio 40
calorie 50
TOTAL.... 130

TUES:
Sleep 10
ST 20
Water 30
Cardio & calorie range 00000
TOTAL 60
I went over on my calories 8-(

FYI- I've been busy making our new games for the next round. By the way EM sorry I didn't join in on the GOALFEATS- but I really have a lot going on plus that is our first challenge of the new round!! I thought we would start with SMART GOALS & GOALFEATS CHALLENGE; 2nd week being positive; 3rd week I'm thinking nutrition; 4th week start ST challenges-- and all the rest will be Fitness and/or Nutrition (plus "ME") always need to reward and treat self as being the most important person in your life. You are your best buddy!

I'm back-- This morning SP Coach Challenge is about BALANCE & I thought this is a good subject to share with you! First of all here is Coach Nicoles challenge:
Today's Program from Your Coach - Finding Balance
Hi I'm Nicole, your personal fitness coach with SparkPeople.

Hiking a trail. Riding a bike. Hitting the slopes. Carrying your children or grandchildren. These are more than simple pleasures. They're also proof of your body's ability to balance. Even when you're not thinking about it, your body is balancing--in everyday life, when you exercise, and during your active pastimes.

Most people don't spend any time thinking about their balance until they actually fall or injure themselves. But balance training is important for everyone, which is why I want you to focus on your balance today.

When standing today, try to bring your legs together. This "narrower base" challenges your balance more than when your stance is wider. You can incorporate this into your workouts as well, like when you're lifting weights. If that still feels easy, shift to one leg. Try balancing on one foot while standing in line, talking on the phone, or washing the dishes. Just be sure to switch legs every once in a while. Chances are, the leg you want to naturally balance on is your stronger leg and the opposite side will actually feel a lot more challenging. If you're working out today, try to incorporate a balance element like a stability ball, wobble board or some single-leg exercises.
See how well you do with today's challenge. If your balance isn't great, just use this as a sign that you should be working on it more often. Like any training, your balance will improve with time, attention and practice.

Until next time, keep moving forward.

2nd here are a couple of articles that I thought you might want to check out--Balance Training 101 www.sparkpeople.com/resource
/fitness_a
rticles.asp?id=755

How to Improve Your Balance in 3 Simple Steps: www.sparkpeople.com/resource
/fitness_a
rticles.asp?id=1377

Each article you read-- give yourself an extra 5 points & if you work on balance today add another 5 points!! I hope you find this interesting. I felt it was important because so many of us fall.

RISE & SHINE!! I walked the dogs; skipping regular workouts today--my right arm and knees are really tires. But I am spending the day cleaning house & do laundry. My printer is out of ink and I can't print out my dart board. Have to keep score on scratch paper for now. My hands keep going numb. I think it's from raking all those rocks. PLANK--haven't done it for a few days- really need to get back to it-- think every day is TOOOOO much! I watered the dirt this morning-hope it turns into grass not weeds! Feelin really lazy but my house is so full of dust from all the wind blowing the last few days. I hope you had a great weekend & are looking forward to a great week!! Turn your music up--it will make you feel better!! Great mood cocktail in the morning- crank up the music, take dogs for a walk, and enjoy the GREAT outdoors-- fantastic mood adjustment!! What do YOU do to cheer yourself up!!

emoticon I just read the Post from Thursday. ROLL THE DICE FOR REAL!!! I would love to do it. I am worried about whether everyone would want to check in several times a day. I know on some days, it is hard for me to check in more than once. emoticon Who knows, it is worth a shot. I think it would be lots of fun. Thanks for giving it some thought Rhonda. emoticon to Rhonda. Yesterday was a great day. I forgot to post a Homework Assignment from my Thursday Strength, Balance and Stretching Class. We are challenged to stand on one foot/leg while we brush our teeth. I need to practice because I don't have much balance on one leg/foot, I must hold onto the chair to keep myself from falling.

Today, we had some wonderful rain showers. Luckily, we were able to get a nice walk in between the rain. Then, my DH and I went to the movies, I won tickets in a contest for Mike and Molly. THIS IS MY FIRST WIN!!! emoticon We saw "The Life of the Party" with Melissa McCarthy. It was funny, but it was SO LOUD!!! And the seats were not comfortable. WE sound like grumpy old grouches. It was nice and then we went to dinner at new Mexican restaurant in town. I had Fajitas and Water to drink. My DH had a Margarita. Next time I hope I can have a Margarita. TODAY I GET emoticon REWARD POINTS.

GOOD MORNING!! Today is my cardio day--I've already spent 2 hours working in the yard. The weather is awesome. Anyhow Coach Nicole wants me to do this for my challenge today-- Today's Program from Your Coach - A Cardio Burst

Today, I challenge you to take your next cardio workout to the next level. If you have cardio planned today, do this today; if not, do this challenge the next time you do an aerobic workout session.

You probably exercise at a similar intensity level each time you run, bike or use the treadmill. We tend to go with what we know and are comfortable with. But today, I want you to start becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable. I want you to push your speed, incline, resistance or overall intensity a step higher than you typically go. By challenging yourself this way, you'll get fitter and stronger while also burning more calories. But I think you'll also find that you are capable of more than you may have believed. Learn from this. And don't let your mind hold your body back from reaching its full potential in the future.

So I decided to pass this challenge onto YOU!!! Yep that's right!! Add a little zip to your workout today and post it here to let me know how it went!! And when done add an EXTRA 100 BONUS POINTS TO TODAY's score!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I was thinking we could do Ship Captain Crew as a real game. Every morning we would need to check in and roll 5 die and roll a 6 (1st), 5 (next), 4 (third) That would give us our ship-captain-crew- we would have 3 rolls to roll it in--Then post here SHIP, CAPTAIN, CREW --- then whoever gets to roll the last 2 dice -Posts what they rolled and that's the goals for the day.

EXAMPLE: I roll but only get a 6 (ship)
I post it on the thread

Paula rolls a 5 & 4 (Captain & crew) & post it here

Em rolls 2 dice (only one roll allowed) One is 5 & one is a 2; Em post it here and that's what we have to do.

List of what each number's goal for the day is.

6- GOYBAD (get off your butt and dance)
5-drink 8 glasses of water
4-Do 25 jumping jacks
3-Get 15 minutes of sun- go for a walk or work in yard or go to the beach- whatever works
2-Do 10 push-up (any style)
1-Eat 2 servings of FRESH fruit

Everyone on the team would have to drink 8 glasses of water & do 10 push-ups. And post it.

DO YOU THINK SOMETHING LIKE THAT WOULD WORK? If so I'll try it out on our next round..

I like the idea but the team would have to check in EVERY MORNING!! And then come back to see what our goals are for the day. I'M GAME! Are you?? Sounds like fun..

Yesterday I must have drank 12 glasses of water. I have never drank that much. It's warm here and being in the sun makes me drink more.

I overslept this morning- But I did my Hasfit workout. This one is really a challenge. It's the newest one they have. Probably going to take me a couple of months to be good at it. Walked the dogs- The sun sure is strong at 7am. Watered plants. My yard is getting nicer. Yesterday I bought a baby cherry tomato plant. I hope it does great. Yesterday planted my citrus tree & fig tree. I am so excited about my yard. Hopefully by tomorrow I will have it set up to sit in the evenings and enjoy. I also hope to start planting grass by this weekend.

Love you guys- Have a wonderful day.. And emoticon Oh if you come up with any great ideas for games- I'm all ears!!

UPDATE FOR THIS WEEK:
Tues: Water 54..........WED 72
Tues protein 16.....WED 20

I went outside and decided on planting 4 aloe vera instead of 8; decided where my 4 trees are going; the landscaper show up planted them- I put red brick around them-hung up some chicken wire so my dogs don't trample the trees. The next few days I am going to spend time racking up some rocks and getting some plants together to hold down my gazebo (wind out here can be miserable.) Wednesday are my official weigh in days and I'm emoticon : it's also my Fun day/rest day! I spent about 1.5 hours working in the yard-- that was fun- I went out to lunch- I sat in Jacuzzi-- Having a friend over for dinner- eggplant on the menu- love the stuff- hardly no calories & you can eat a bunch!! Now to go shopping!! So I have what I need to hold gazebo down! It's been a great day!!

Hope you are having a great day too!.

Paula, glad I wasn't alone in thinking "real dice".

Will try to catch up soon.

Sunday = 109

Water = 54
Protein = 24
Freggie= 30+

That sure helped me Rhonda. I had to laugh when I saw Em's post about using real dice. Because I had thought the same thing. And, then I thought perhaps I would roll the real die and that would tell me what I HAD TO DO FOR THE DAY. emoticon

Good morning!
Em -- No we don't use real dice. It's virtual! Everytime you drink a glass a water you roll the number 6. Everytime you eat a fruit or veggie you roll a 5. Everytime you consume a serving of protein you roll a 4. Everytime you do 15 (can be dropped to 10min if you can't do 15) minutes of exercise you roll a 3. Everytime you complete 10 jumping jacks (doesn't matter what kind)(or if you do 2 at time throughout the day) you roll a 2. etc.

Examples: yesterday... Water I consumed 10 glasses= 10x6(dice)
food from food tracker: yogurt/berries... 1 serving protein ; I serving fruit. fruit = 5; protein = 4; That was breakfast...
lunch- protein= 4; cabbage =5
dinner corn beef= 1x4=4
veggie- 2 serv. cabbage; 1 serv. carrots= 3x5= 15
snack: protein shake, cottage cheese = 2 serv. protein=2x4=8
2 serv. cabbage = 2x5= 10
fitness=60 min (60/15=4) 4x3=12
no jumping jacks 0
made bed - brushed teeth- posted mot quote= 3

ship-6; captain-5; crew 4; =15;; and I have those number; Let's take the total number - 15 for the ship captain & crew and take the rest and make it point.
water 60
freegies 35
protein 20
fitness 12
make bed, etc- 3
total 130-15 (ship captain crew)= 115 points for the day!

Did that help?

TODAY OUR NEW CHALLENGE IS UP!! We are playing ship, captain, crew! emoticon Now if you need more of a challenge this week- check out our DARE!! Every time you do the DARE this week it's worth an extra 10 points! On your challenge score sheet- add bonus to it!! And I just decided let's add "ME TIME" to our score sheet! 1 point for every day you take me time and post it right here!!

For example today: I spent 30 min in the Jacuzzi; later I am going to the movies with a friend and then we are having dinner at my house. I have a corn beef & cabbage & carrots in the crock pot! WOW! That's a lot of me time today! emoticon

Today I did a different cardio workout--it was only 25 minutes but I pulled out my Rock-n-Body workout DVD and did party express. This is the 2nd time I've done this work out. First time a few months ago. I need practice at it! I took the dogs on a walk this morning. That was nice.

I think we will start Round 2 June 3. We will only have ONE week of down time. I want to keep the momentum going!

GO TEAM! emoticon emoticon

emoticon Paula! You're doing great! The bank is covering all the overdraft fees since it was their fault for taking the payment out twice RIGHT?! I'd make sure they do! I'm so happy you planned your menu. Especially since you didn't on BINGO! I use that meal planner at times. There is also another link (I'll have to find it) but they planned a whole week or maybe it was a month menu. I remember seeing all kinds of great meals that I don't usually cook. I can't remember what it was called but I may have booked marked it somewhere.
Speaking of food I posted recipes to our Healthy Recipe Thread. Looks like today I'll have the plank to do plus squats--That is if I ever get off of this computer and do a workout! I did work in the yard this morning for an hour.

Well Ladies hang in there! We can do this!

This has been a tough week for me. Late Mon 04/30, afternoon I discovered that a bank where I have a loan had deducted my payment twice last week. OH BOY, I need them to refund the money ASAP before other payments come in to clear and cause an overdraft. emoticon
Also, went to the dentist on Monday and picked up a new denture. Which is not a problem although. my gums are not happy now with the new fixture in their mouth. emoticon

So, I have been sitting in my bank getting documentation for the other bank so they will give me my money. HELP I am angry and frustrated and unable to do what I enjoy doing like exercise and this Challenge. Don't worry about me. I will be here sooner or later. Today, I was able to get a tracking number and verification that my money will be here tomorrow. I HOPE emoticon

emoticon How about an update on the Challenge I have finally completed my week's worth of meals. That was an eye opener. I use the meal planner provided by Spark People. So, I learned lots about my calories and ranges and food options. Always good to learn. emoticon
I ate Avocado, Cucumbers, and Green Bell Peppers for my 3 green Freegies. This was before I saw your update Rhonda about how they did not have to be Green. No worries, I LOVE GREEN. My cousin worked for White Sands Laboratory in NM, so I had seen the area before, GOOD to do some dancing. "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez So, I am in Texas now, excited to go on the San Antonio River Walk. I have heard so many GOOD things bout it. emoticon

emoticon to you MaryAnn, it is so good to have you on this walk with us. I SEE YO OUT THERE!!! And, am so happy to hear you found a good technician this time with your sleep study. I use a CPAP and it makes such a difference in how I sleep. HOPING THE BEST for you. Sweet dreams. emoticon

Happy Thursday !!

Had my sleep study on Tuesday night and had to
take a sleeping med because they were worried
about not getting enough sleep to titrate my CPAP.
That in turn messed up my sleep pattern; slept most
of Wednesday. I feel better today. I plan to catch up
on the challenge if I can.

I feel like this time was much more productive. The
person running the test said I was not sleeping good,
"awake" a lot of times ... and he said he was going to
set my "number" to 10 from my usual 7. He also said
I might have gotten about 10 min REM and a few minutes
"good" sleep. I am thinking the other guy was sleeping half
the time, since he didn't catch any of this. Looking forward
to finding out the "official" results.

I am going to try to get some work done, paper sorting as
well

Hope everyone is ok and faring well.

It's cold here!

Today is my Free Fun Day! What better way than to turn up the music and dance. I spent 15 mins wiggling my fanny! LOL It gets the energy flowing and puts a BIG SMILE on my face!

I have breakfast cooking and then I need to shower and I have my hair appointment today. My reward for losing 30 pounds.

FYI-- The 60 crunches don't let that scare you! I can't do a single crunch on the floor. So I do standing crunches-- elbow to knee- but if you can't do that you can stand and move your hip forward and backwards-- it exercises the core and that's what counts. And you have all day to complete them. Do your best-- that's all I ask!

Today I made it to Niblets Bluff Park- so here's my SP article: 10 Ways to Get Organized for Weight Loss www.sparkpeople.com/resource

I have plenty of Fitness minutes and I will probably be hanging out at Joshua Tree National Park. I am happy I went to Disneyland in 1980's and got my Mickey Mouse Ears. So, I sure look cute as I hang in the park and do my Crunches and do my Meal Planning.

Will be checking in tomorrow. Good night friends.

Paula emoticon Such a great feeling to know you are getting close to your goal!! emoticon Shout it to the World!!

I'm excited! I've been at it already this morning! I only did a 20 minute workout but I spent almost 2 hours working in my yard! I started a project yesterday & finished it today!! My back yard is going to so emoticon when I get done with it!! It will be so nice to sit back there listen to the birds chirp. I banged my head this morning on the trash can. Going to have a big bruise.

I'M OFF! HOW ABOUT YOU! LET'S DO THIS!!
Please remember that the challenges on this roadtrip are difficult-- YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ALL 60 CRUNCHES AT ONE TIME. You can a few at a time over the course of the day.
Modify if you need to!

1st Stop- Venice Beach NEXT STOP DINSEYLAND!

See you there!!

Tomorrow

Good Evening! Week 9 is up-- We are going on a roadtrip. Coast to Coast!! Please remember you can always modify what you need to; to be able to play these games!! If you can't do 15 minutes of fitness then adjust this to 5 or 10 minutes. Now remember you DO NOT have to do the whole 15 minutes at one time. You can do 3 (5 minutes) to make the 15. If any challenge is too hard adjust it to your level; if it's not hard enough make it harder. These games are to challenge ourselves so we improve. If there is an exercise you can't do then modify or change it for a different one. LET'S MAKE THESE GAMES FIT YOUR LEVEL!! But please remember to challenge yourself!!

Rhonda and Paula .... you guys are sure motivating !!
Rhonda ... your post on my blog made me smile ;-)

I got up earlier than usual for the weekend. We went
to Ace and picked up new filters and a pump for the
swamp cooler. There was a sheet of ice on the porch
on Tuesday, today it is 80 degrees. Colorado is so fickle ;-)

I also took my car in for oil change, replaced serpentine
belt and cabin filter, bought some new mats and then
washed the outside and vacuumed the inside. I don't
think anyone else ever thinks to clean it ;-P

I forgot to put my fitbit on so no credit for all my steps. I
just hate it when that happens. I think the rest of the day
will go to catch up my FB games. I am thinking of going
for a mani-pedi tomorrow. I had planned it for earlier, but
then broke several nails so waited for them to grown back
out. Maybe the hair thing as well, deep condition, eyebrow
wax, cut. Probably get another inch or so off, to trim and
even out. It is down to my waist now. It takes a little more
upkeep than my short hair did.

Loved the challenge even though I didn't keep up. I get
overwhelmed easily ;-) I think the challenges in this group
are wonderful, lots of imagination ! I also liked the "other"
activities that Paula wrote about ... smiling, pep talks, etc.

Have a great weekend everyone !

Hi Rhonda,

I think you asked; Did anyone do this week's DARE? And, I did. My favorite place is in the mountains and forests of Colorado. I see myself sitting in the beauty and tranquility of our natural habitat and it brings me PEACE, and INSPIRATION to continue on my road to STRENGTH and FITNESS. Breathing in the peace and exhaling all doubt and fear. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL emoticon

I think you also asked; What would we like to see more of in a CHALLENGE ? And, I have been thinking about NSV and Motivation and Positive Life Lessons. Anything other than tracking food, water, etc. Thanks for asking. I wonder what others think? emoticon

Wednesday was a tough day for me. I woke up feeling discouraged and some fear about the world around me. Why, my niece asked me. And, then I leaned back and closed my eyes and asked myself that question, WHY? I found some feeling sorry for myself and wishing for things that I don't have. Then, it hit me that, I had so much to be thankful for and that is where I needed to place my focus and find something that I was Grateful to have in my life. There IT was, I can now walk for 30 minutes without needing to sit down. are my fears based on actual events? OR are they based on imagined events? They are IMAGINED and when I get outside and feel the sun on my face and see the joy in my dog, I AM GRATEFUL for my life!!!

MY PEP TALK worked and the day just got better and better. = G1 emoticon

GOOD AFTERNOON! running late! But I am here!!

I woke up tired this morning. But had a dirt delivery coming, needed to sign papers, bought trees for my backyard, went to the bank. OOPS! Poor dogs no walks for them today! But I did my workout! I have one plank left to do today!

I tried another workout: Senior Fitness by Tona: It is prefect if U R 2 TIRED 2 WORKOUT! www.bing.com/videos/search?q

I was only going to do 10min and ended up doing the whole 43 min.

Spark Coach assignment today is to find a mantra or write my own: Well I found one: "A body at rest wants to stay at rest. A body in motion wants to stay in motion." (Heidi)
This is my new motivational mantra!

By doing my workout today that gave me B-1 emoticon

Good Morning! Good morning! Good morning! It's going to be a great day!

I've done my ST workout! Did a Hasfit...40 Min Total Body Strength Training Workout
October 25, 2017: hasfit.com/workouts/home/strength-we
ig
ht-training/total-body-strength-traini
ng-w
It was a good one. Now I'm trying to decide to eat breakfast or walk the dog. It has been getting warm here so I need to start walking earlier. But my tummy is growling! By the way my squats & lunges are getting better! I was thinking this morning that 6 months ago I wouldn't have even attempted this workout. Amazing how much I have improved-- you just have to stick to it!! I know you can do it!! It takes time & practice!! This workout gave me O-5!! Last night I got into bed and remembered I forgot to do my 2nd plank to make my minute-- hopped out of bed and did it!! In fact I should do that now!!

I-4 WooHoo Last night made 3 days staying in my calorie range!! I didn't go over!!

Today is my rest day! I didn't do any workouts but I did spend 1.5 hours working in the yard (weeds!). And I took my little furbuddy for a very short walk.

I'm trying to make an appointment to get my hair done and I left a message at the salon and she hasn't called me back. 8-(

Paula if that routine is a new one emoticon Would you please add it to the Exercise Link Thread. A brief description would be nice too! I've been adding all kinds of workouts, articles, quick dance routines in there hoping maybe someone would enjoy them.

Hey Paula thanks I almost forgot about the PLANK today and since it takes me doing it 2 times to equal 1 minute.. I need to do it now... (I'm using this as my new 4 day habit)................ok got my 1st 30 seconds in & almost didn't make it there. At 19 my lower back started hurting.

This morning I tried a new recipe for breakfast (found on SP) Breakfast Apple Pudding. recipes.sparkpeople.com/reci
pe-detail.
asp?recipe=2103907
In case someone wants to check it out. I will be adding it to our recipe thread.

Tomorrow I should be done with O. I'll do my ST & eat breakfast..

EM where are you? How are you doing? How is the BINGO going! I hope great! I still have cardio and ST to plus eating my breakfast & 3 meals a day. Miss You!!

U SAID SHOUT IT OUT-- SO I AM!!

B3... ME time! 30 min in Jacuzzi! Been the first time in over a week. I use to get in there every morning before I workout but haven't had time. Nice way to end the day. I got out- jumped in shower & put PJ's on! It's only 5pm but I'm not going any where!

Gives me 3rd row and I already had G down. And tomorrow I plan to have I down.

Em how are you doing?? Haven't heard from you today. Hope all is well!!

emoticon Paula!! I'm so glad you are enjoying the bingo..

While I was in the hot tub I thought of some new games for our Summer Round.. Hope you'll be returning for the summer round. We probably should start signing up next month..

Have a wonderful night -- see you in the morning!!

emoticon Hi All, this is a POST for BINGO. For B3 the Challenge is to do 30 minutes of ME TIME and then post about it here in the LoL Chat Thread.

Today my ME TIME was talking with my cousin for 30 minutes which was a Challenge in and of itself. We usually talk a minimum of 60+ minutes. We both had appointments with our Cardiologists yesterday. So, it was good to share notes and just know that each other is well and doing good. On my Father's side of the family, we were the only grandchildren for many years. So, we grew up as sisters more than cousins. After saying goodbye about 7 times, we finally hung up the phone. Taking me time is a good challenge for me as I rarely think to stop and smell the roses in my day to day routine. emoticon

Paula Yes 30 min = 3 x 10

However since I always do 30+min I decided to track mine as 3 days! instead of 3/10's. I felt it should be as hard for me as it is for someone who can only do 5 or 10 min a day. And that brings me to another point-- if you only do 5 min a day then feel free to add all the days up to equal 30. I know you are working hard! And that's the whole idea of this; is to succeed for our hard work. Sometimes you have to modify the games to meet your level!! If you need more challenging then up the level of the game.. Needs to be a little easier- then do what you need. I want every one to have an excellent time!!

Update:
B1 2 out of 3
B2 2 out of 5
I4 2 out of 3
N4 1 out of 4
O4 3 out of 5
O5 1 out of 2

Bingo on G! working on a black out!! emoticon

I have 2 days of staying in my calorie range!! Hanging in there!!

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
emoticon

Come on team!! We can do this!! Let's do it!!
