Sounds like a plan Liz! I have not been doing all that well lately. I had a couple of weeks that I stayed the same and then I think I gained the last two weeks. So far it looks like I might have a small loss tomorrow but we'll see if it still looks that way 24 hours from now. I tried to be reasonably good over the weekend when we were camping and I think I did fairly well. We took sandwiches with us during the day when we were out geocaching so that we didn't end up buying junk food. We did stop for ice cream at one place (there was a cache there) and we had chips with our sandwich one day and some with our burgers on Saturday night, but I didn't pig out on them like I have at times in the past.

I was doing so well since SRD because I did come away inspired, but had a .4 gain last night. Not sure if it was the heat and retaining fluid, but that is what I am blaming it on. I have been working really hard to lose a little every week. I do find it helps when I log what I eat on my sparkpeople nutrition site. I have not been drinking all the water I should either. Maybe we can all commit to having a loss next week. Here's to ya emoticon

It sounds like we are in a similar place Brenda, although I am a lot further from my goal than you are. As of this morning my scale was not looking too bad, but who knows how it will look tomorrow. I am surprised it looks as good as it does, because I have done much less exercise this week and my food intake has not been less. I ate out several times, but I may not have eaten a lot more than usual, since there were little or no snacks and on Sunday we only had two meals and then a snack at night. I haven't tried to track my calories this week, but I will make more of an effort for the coming week.

I too have been pretty disgusted with myself lately. When we had that hot spell a while ago and I dug out my shorts, and not one pair fit, it was a reality check. I now weigh more than I ever have in my life, and I feel so crappy. Nothing fits, I wear the same pair of fat jeans all week because I refuse to buy new fat clothes, yada yada.

So this week I am vowing to only eat when I really feel hungry, instead of by the clock. I have felt full and bloated for weeks but I keep eating just cuz its' 'mealtime'. Keeping an accurate food chart really helps me, I have already filled out most of my dinners (breakfast and lunch are the same every day and not a problem, its after work when I fall off the wagon.) So if I can stick to the plan it should help. I sure need to do something different.

Okay, I started this topic this morning, but then didn't have time to post my response. I did come away from SRD a bit more determined to get my butt in gear and figure out what I need to do to start losing. I'm not sure if it was something I heard at SRD or if it was trying to find something dressy to wear before leaving home and realizing nothing really fit, but what fit the best was one of my old "fat" pantsuits. At my highest weight I couldn't wear the outfit I was wearing Saturday, but I haven't worn that one in a long time because it was too big! I can't quite figure out if I am eating more than I think or if I am not eating enough for the amount of exercise I do. I have decided I need to make a real effort to track my calories so I know exactly where I am at, and then try going up or down from there, depending on which I think I need to do. If one doesn't work I will try the other. I am good about exercising and I plan to continue that, although I know I need to add some strength training.

Another SRD has come and gone. Did you come away feeling inspired? If so, what inspired you the most about SRD? Whether or not you attended SRD, what changes are you planning to make to ensure you reach your goals in the coming weeks and months? What healthy choices are you already making that you plan to continue?
