whoo hoo, today I started week 2 of this challenge. I'm really stressed out and frustrated right now. Seems like with our car just as we get one thing fixed something else goes wrong and it's eating up any extra money we have.

I really was way to frustrated to take our pooch out for her walk she's gotten used to. She even started getting ansy. Finally she went over to the front door sat down held up her paw, looked sad and whimpered.

So I took her out. It was getting cold and dark out, but it was a nice walk around the block. About 10 minutes or so.

Afterwords my lower back was killing me, I was huffing and puffin but Kiki (our dog) sure loved sniffing around other peoples yards, the telephone poles and just well, sniffing everything.

But I admit, the fresh air was nice, the sun setting sure made the sky nice and pretty and I got a glimpse of the neighbor kids all excited about getting dressed up for trick or treating-stuff I would have missed had I not taken the short walk.

I'm still huffin and puffin, but today is day 8 I've walked my pooch for 10-15 minutes. Good walk around the block. I'm still having to stop and rest and lean up against stuff to ease my back pain but I'm enjoying it. So is my dog. I'm actually looking forward to the daily walk now.

I walked up one flight of stairs and some leg lifts, and a few other of my PT exercises. (I had a knee replaced). Can't go down stairs yet, only up :)

I got out with the dogs and did training drills with a pedometer on my belt. The tally at the end of the day's training said I had walked 2 1/2 miles. Kind of a short day for the dogs, but I was throwing my own marks instead of walking to reload the launchers, so I got more upper body exercise that the pedometer doesn't measure...might be time for an activity tracker.
