Lettting someone's mood stress you out is the worst, especially when it's your spouse. My emotions are tied to my husband's and I know what you mean about eating something you don't even like just to be eating. I took the Stress reliever challenge and it taught me a lot of ways to deal with that type of thing. Chck it out in the stress reliever team.

There are days...and then there are DAYS! Sometimes it's as if there are a string of rough ones...So you binged...NOT good...but that doesn't mean YOU'RE not good...You're worth it...Keep at it...I bet there are lots more days when you dont't binge, than when you do.....

It is hard for me to resist chocolate, my husband has some in the fridge all the time, I do keep a coupe small peices of dark chocolate when I can not stand it anymore

Hi I had a revelation yesterday--went over to my DD house to let the dogs out they were going to be home late---so I was killing time called my husband and he responded in such a cranky manner that I started eating saltines and I don't even like that kind of cracker----I let his mood influence me negatively going to start writing down these negative times instead of eating. Mary

only you can decide whats right for you but if I was in your situation I would just have to say "oh well" and let it go. Its done and I can't unring that bell and beating myself up won't do anything but probably make me do something else, so I just have to let it go and try and learn a lesson from it and tomorrow perhaps I won't make the same mistake, or maybe I will. I might have to make it 10000 more times before I learn :)

I actually don't have chocolate in the house. I passed one store, but then passed my house to go to a second store and bought cookies and candy bars. The "temptation" isn't here. :( And when the "I don't care" bug bites, why would I exercise or eat fruit? At that moment, I don't care about health or what's right. lol It's really difficult. WHen those moods hit, nothing matters, and I don't care enough to fight the urge when I don;t think it matters anyway............ :( But thanks for the support. I did get a small work out in last night.

I can have 100 calorie dark chocolate bars in the freezer and not over do but I can't have ice cream bars in there or I may eat the whole box. I agree remove the temptation and start substituting with other things like fruit. There are a lot of sweet fruits right now. I think sugar is craving that needs to be fed. Fruit doesn't seem to stimulate that as much as straight sucrose. I think my desire for wine is related to sugar. The longer you can stay away from these things, the cravings will subside more and become controllable. And yes getting out and walking or any exercise seems to help.

I am not losing this fat - I am removing it for good.

Everyone has bad days. The key is to turn it around. Today is a new day. Get rid of all the chocolate in the house. Get out there and exercise when the urge to eat or the "I don't care attitude" strikes. An outside walk relaxes the mind and body plus gets you away from food.

First of all, I just deleted my blog today and it was titled bad day. I think we might have something in common. Also, my chocolate is near by. I like the expression of the depression truck, quite accurate. You are not a failure!

Well it sounds like call of sugar gets you one way or another. You know alcohol is really just a fast sugar fix with other stuff to boot. Actually the chocolate has chemicals that react like endorphins to help you feel better, the alcohol is just a depressant.

Seems like you are deep in the struggle for a healthier options. It;s not the same, but it took me months to kick a life-long soda habit. I had full detox symptoms - headache, shakes, body aches, twitches... it wasn't pretty. All I can say is keep it up, it gets easier and if you don't give up you will win the battle. Hope tomorrow is better for you.

Do you guys watch Lock Up? It's a fun show. The producers spend months in prisons around the country and that's what the show is about. Anyway, a habitual offender said (speaking about his family and their long history of incarceration) "We're not failures, we've just found 10,000 ways that don't work."
I thought.....right.......
Maybe I can use that though. I'm not a failure. I just keep finding ways that don;t work....
Today the depression truck ran me over. I had a chocolate binge. I KNOW that isn't right, but I also didn't care. At all. About anything. I made the decision to not drink for the rest of the month tho, so I turned to chocolate. no difference really. I use substances to get through uncomfort. Alcohol. chocolate, whatever. Some days I don't. Today I did. I'm upset about it, but not really. I'm still not sure if I care......
I also worked out. Go me...........????
