Fatigued is the WORD! Feeling a bit more peppy today so I am hopeful. Funny thing is I shouldn't really have had many toxins to begin with as I was eating SUPER clean the last 3 weeks on Eat to Live...except for that lil slip-up the day before I started 17DD. RE: burger-fest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping to get some exercise in later today...maybe not as intense, but something!!

Scoobees I felt like I had the flu for 5 days and then I was fatigued for 9! The more fat cells you have, the more toxins you store - I have a LOT of fat cells emoticon

Since going back to C2 this Round, I too have found a lot of serious toxins in my body. The other day my stomach hurt so badly and I hadn't been (if you know what I mean) for a couple of days. Well today those nasty little things must have exited my body cause I am down another lb and feeling good today...no tummy aches at all.

I am so sorry your tummy is still bothering you. Hope it heals real soon, so you can get back to that exercising.
You and I are a real pair cause the last time I worked out on my Wii -- I was golfing and I felt something snap in the back of my leg and every now and then it still snaps. Don't know what I did, but it sure did hurt. That's why I am waiting for Walk it Out...can't really hurt myself too much walking lol

I hope you heal soon, Gabby! The thing that derails me constantly are my stupid knees. If this is only the 'beginning stages' of osteoarthritis - what are the rest of the stages like?? I don't wanna know!!! Yikes!

Anyway, I am taking a rest day from exercise today. I feel soooo lethargic I can't believe I made it to the grocery store. But what's a girl to do without baby spinach, and tomatoes, and...etc. lol. Mildy headachey (is that a word?), last couple days a minor sore throat...I dunno. I figure a day off from exercise is for the best today.

You all are such an inspiration. I keep getting derailed. First it was my hip. I was afraid I was going to need surgery, and now I tore something just above my abdomen. My DH says it sounds like a torn muscle, but he can't be correct because I don't have any muscles emoticon

Actually I could have aggravated ,whatever it is, shoveling and moving topsoil. I figured that was like doing weight training. It's odd because I felt the tear getting into bed of all things. I will join you all eventually! emoticon

Done. I really had to push myself away from the computer today to get in a workout. Some days it's a little hard :)

Today I did Slim Series Tear it Up dvd (78 min) which is a combination cardio + resistance training workout - awesome!!

Aww thanks! I guess I just feel if I were to shout out on the street corner 'I've been exercising since 1994!!!!' I would hear a few giggles. You know the old saying, something about the proof is in the pudding? I just have too much pudding!
emoticon
I also hated exercise for soooo long. It wasn't until I started taking a couple group aerobics classes at the gym that I started getting addicted. Later when I stumbled onto the Turbo Jam workouts - there was an instant love - so much fun!!! I think when we finally find the thing that we can at least 'like' the battle is pretty much won.

Scoobees - why would you hate to admit that? You should wave it like a flag at the top of a mountain! You should be extremely proud of yourself! You have conquered 1/2 the battle right there - be very, very proud of yourself. I think you can be a strong supporter of a lot of us here...

My exercise is babysteps - I've hated exercise for most of my life and am just now learning to enjoy it.

Congrats to everyone who is skilled at working out! Together we can all find the right path to becoming healthy and fit!

Same here, Scoobees. Except I've only been working out religiously for a year. It took me that long to figure out you can't out exercise poor eating habits! Finally decided it was time to buckle down when my aunt directed me to this diet.

I look forward to my daily workouts :)

Exercise has always been the fun part for me...it's the EATING that does me in. Hopefully I can correct that part with the 17DD!

I ordered that on July 11th and on the 12th I received an e-mail that it had been shipped out. Now not sure where it is coming from, but I am not so patiently waiting for it. I want to start this. I have heard so many good things about it and I know it will enhance what I am doing now. Not so much exercise going on here these days....that's why my ticker isn't moving as much.

I work out daily - and have for the past month...(I've missed 3 days total in that time) and I'm starting to love it. Currently, I've been using the Wii Walk it Out game - and have gone from 5000 to over 10,000 steps a day with it.

I got that one because it was something I could do:
inside
without the eyes of others on me
and at my own pace

I was terribly out of shape - and spent the 1st two cycles just eating along plan. When I lost my 1st ten pounds, my gift to myself was the game.

The best gift EVER!

Find what you like to do - then do it. Religiously. It will make you feel better along with losing the weight.

I promise! emoticon

Anyone working out? On most days, I really LOVE to exercise. My knees give me problems so there are times when I have to simmer down a bit :) Currently I love walking and most Beachbody dvd programs like Turbo Fire, Turbo Jam, Slim in 6, Slim Series, etc.

Just got done with a Turbo Jam workout a few minutes ago- woohoooo!!!

Getting back on track with Cycle 1 - and have to say realistically for me 5 days of workouts a week seem to fit into my schedule best. With Cycle 1, I simply allow myself the luxury of a shorter workout and try to get in 20 minutes of walking, or a 1 mile Leslie Sansone in-home walking dvd. I need to increase my own commitment to the program by fitting in my workouts as suggested. I'm always glad when I did!

As for the original question, I've been working out religiously for 11 months now. I have a Y membership that I LOVE. I do classes there in the mornings 5 days a week. Monday is HIIT and muscle mania (1 hr total), Tuesday is Pilates (1 hr), Wednesday is BOSU and a stability ball class (1 hr 30 mins total), Thursday is Pilates (1 hr), Friday is bootcamp (1 hr). I feel naked if I miss any of my workouts, and last week all the trainers were on vacation so there were no classes! I had to supplement with the wii and some dvds, but only got a couple days in because it's been so stinking hot and we don't have ac. The fact that I could have just gone to the gym and got on an eliptical, treadmill, or a myriad of other machines just didn't appeal to me (which is what I did before I learned of the joy of aerobics classes) lol.

Ooooh, you guys will have to let us know how you like Walk it Out. I was in the market for a new wii workout game (can only take so much wii fit plus), and was torn between walk it out and exerbeat. I really like exerbeat, but walk it out will be my next game to purchase. I really want the zumba game too. Have fun ladies!

My wii "Walk it Off "arrived and today my DH hooked up the TV from our RV in the garage which is transformed into a summer room. Now I have room to exercise, so no excuses. Starting tomorrow morning.

I have been SOOOO bad about exercising lately. I'm back to taking the metro again so hopefully the walking I manage to get in between stations will help. I'm hoping to take things up a notch later in the week if I feel up to it.

I do turbo jam 6 days a week plus elliptical or treadmill. I also like to go jogging while my sons ride their bikes next to me. I would feel lousy without my daily workouts. :^)

Trying to get in the habit... I have a 14 yr old son who will drop time with his friends to take 15-20 minutes to either walk or bike around the block(1 mile) he knows how important this is to me and he wants to help keep me motivated... I have another friend who has asked me to try Zumba with her and I can try it for 40.00 for 5 classes... one day a week... I can give that a try, I LOVE to dance and I LOVE latin music so why not...so if I can just stay consistant 2 days walking/2 days biking with my son and the one zumba class a week I think I would have it made!...

workouts are a must for me to fell terrific each day. I lift weights, run, jillian michaels, yoga, pilates, rollerblade, I'm always changing things up. I love to work up a great sweat! Kettlebells are super fun. I think that pool workout sounds like fun :)

Love the Kettle Bell workouts!! I also started some pool workouts...purchased a 3 piece kit with dumb bells, weight belt, and slippers with weights for the feet!! Speedo makes it!! It is the bomb!! Especially in this over 90 degree weather we are having here in sunny emoticon emoticon Florida!! I also walk at least 30 min a day....So...your answer is yes I workout quite a bit...it makes my menopause symptoms a lot less severe!!

I was (am!) horribly out of shape when I started this diet 34 days ago. I went to walking 5 minutes on my treadmill each day and have, as of today, gone up to 23 minutes. After I reach 30 minutes, I am thinking I'll try a Zumba workout! :-)

I am currently home with two dogs and a baby so I saddle up the troops and walk two or three times per day. I go anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes depending on how hot it is and who is whining! Lol. I also try to do push ups every couple of days. I'd love to use kettlebells. They look so fun!

I had Cody today so Cheryl could do some more packing and I decided that we needed to go to Giant Tiger to buy his sister a birthday gift. So we left my house at about 10:30am and by the time we got back it was almost noon. We walked to the dollar store, and around it a couple of times, then to Giant Tiger and around that more than a couple of times then home. Now on the way there it was easy enough to push him, it was all downhill, coming home however, I was pushing nearly 40lbs up hill all the way lol. Now that was a workout lol.

I usually walk my dog for at least 30 min each day. I do go to the gym but have to admit I've slacked off in the last month or so and have only been about 2 times per week. I am just trying to get back into doing more weights as well as cardio plus want to start with some of the classess like bootcamp.

What's exercise?

I order everything from Amazon too! I even order DVD's from Amazon.Uk so I could get my favorite program Midsommer Murders cheaper than the U.S. although I had to order a special international dvd player too

I had Walk It Off and only tried it once before I gave it to my couch potato greatnephews. Then someone on a different team talkeed about creating rainbows and I thought that I'll have to buy it again. My hip actually hasn't bothered me in the last few days.

Linda, do you have a Gamestop in the mall you work in? They might be able to get it for you.

I haven't exercised through cycle 1 or 2 - however, now that I've lost 13 pounds, I feel a little better and am ready to start. I ordered "Walk it Out" for my Wii - it sounded like something low impact and easy to get into. I'm so out of shape and living in Texas - it's so danged hot! My goal is to get back into shape...slowly...so by the time cool weather comes back around I can hit the trails around our lake again.

I've justified not exercising through the first two cycles by waiting for the plateau. Well, it has hit - and since I'll be eating more in cycle 3, I know I need to do something different. Now is the time for me to start exercising. Then, I can kick it up a notch during each cycle of round 2. By the end of round 2, I hope to up to an hour a day. At least that's the plan!
