JAHMS1970 - congrats on staying faithful to the program! You are doing great, and moving forward, this is a great freedom and accomplishment! We are all taught that it is lifestyle changes that will bring us lasting results, and the beauty of this program, is that it does teach us lifestyle changes step by step with a very personal approach!

I'm moving forward and applying these guidelines to my own life, realizing I cannot be perfect in anything, so even tho I took a few steps back in the last month, I'm applying what I know to work and excited about continued progress. I try not to look back for forward. as the past is past and I cannot change that, but I can make good decisions now.

Even in regards to exercise - 17 minutes is doable several times a week. Each cycle I plan to increase my minutes, but I'm just taking the simple approach and enjoying the fact that I can meet my goals with only 17 minutes at this point. I just went on a 19 minute walk around the neighborhood and that alone felt good, knowing I met my goal for the day. You can do it too! I know you'll feel great that you did. :)

Devonnejoy, everything you said rings true in my thinking, too! Thankfully, I have managed to remain on this diet for longer than any other, so I'm not in the need-to-restart place some of you are in, but it wouldn't surprise me to end up there at some point.

Actually, I AM there with my exercise routine! I haven't done it in almost 2 weeks now and I had worked so hard to build up my stamina! I need to cowboy-up and get back to it!

Love this program as well and to those that resonded thank you - but it is the same with any specific diet plan we choose to follow. For me once I swerve, I find myself detouring more often, and then before I know it I'm having to start all over again with Day #1 and find the challenge even greater, because I've already done it before - and maybe didn't complete my plan or reach goal. Something about a "brand" new program for me makes it easier to adhere to, and stay strong with. HOWEVER, I love this plan, we all know it is healthy and provides us with good results from Day #1 - so it comes down to personal commitment and perseverence. We can do it, day by day - it's all about determination and the choices we make. We have the guidelines, we just need to say NO to those items that are not currently on our allowable foods list.

Are you ready? Let's do it and say YES to results and a clean slate. Any ideas on how to organize - those that are ready to get a new beginning. Let's put the past behind and move forward once again. We KNOW the effort is well worth it - and we'll be feeling mentally and physically empowered within just a matter of days.

This is a great place for support, and encouragement - now we just need to focus on the plan as it is written - as each Cycle works specifically and works well - and helps us move ahead with a lifestyle plan. It's the food addiction and issues that keep us in bondage, and it's hard to over come, even when we start to feel confident that it's behind us, we have found how easy it can be back in the yo-yo cycle once again.

We have weeks of summer ahead of us, and what a great time to strive towards and possibly reach out goals - together! I'm open for ideas!

Maybe we should start a new post called "Love The Diet/Lifestyle But How To Get Re-Motivated (to start again once you've fallen off track!)" I, too, keep reading and following everyone but have been unable to get back in sync! I am having some difficult health issues. I don't want to use it as an excuse...but I am. Anyway, love this program and this team!

Welcome back Devonnjoy. I can totally relate to having a hard time getting back on. I too followed the 3 cycles but then got ill...fell off track and am really struggling getting back on track. I've continued to come here and read posts and everyone is very inspiring...I just have to do something to inspire and motivate myself.

Enjoy Cycle 2! This is where I found I was more in control than I realized, as even on the days when I was allowed whole grain items, I didn't always choose to have them - and it's great you'll be able to have a grilled beef burger now! Keep up the good work - you'll be entering Cycle 3 before you know it - then you can enjoy a glass with your hubby!

I'm not necessarily new to this program, and in fact lost 9.5 lbs. during Cycle 1 when I first began April 27th. I followed through into Cycle 3, when I lost my focus during some family events - and have restarted Cycle 1, numerous time since then I must admit!

I do love this program, everything about it - from the 17 day cycles and adding in new foods with each phase, the variety and whole foods all appeal to my personal tastes, and best of all feeling in control of my appetite after a few days. So why is it so hard for me to refocus once again? Even more so than breads or whole grains, I have to say the hardest thing for me to give up once again is a glass of red wine on weekends or occasionally with dinners.

I want to share that I have been inspired once again by some of the posts I'm reading here, and your personal commitment - so thank you, This looks to be an energetic and helpful team, and I think I have now found a place that will help me to once again be accountable and work throught this wonderful program day by day!

Here's to a successful Cycle 1 - Day #1!
