Let me clarify 60 minutes twice a week, I am not super human, and they do not recommend you do body pump more than once a day.

LINDSAYB2217 - When you click on add this to my fitness tracker, you will get a second window that pops up verifying that you want to add it to your tracker. Did you set that one? I just tried adding it to my tracker and it did add it to my fitness page.

The other thing to check is to make sure you are looking at the correct date on your fitness tracker. If for any reason you have moved the date to check or add on past days, it doesn't automatically go back to the correct date. I've made that mistake more than once.

I cant get it to track the "VIDEO: 10-Minute Crunchless Core Workout" for day 2 when I click the link on the page... I also am not getting this video when I try to search it on the "my fitness page" what am I doing wrong? I tried both adding it to my existing workout and adding it and deleting the other exercise...

No problem , I don't know what you mean by individually though. I just click the button at the bottom of the video and it is added. But then my regular strength program was erased and I tried resetting it and it won't allow it. Thanks again!

MAGIK0731 Great job getting in your workout!

You can track videos one of two ways - all of the cardio videos can be added on your fitness page by using the Add Cardio button. Type in spark under browse and all of the spark videos should come up there for you to choose. Usually there is an add to fitness tracker option when you do the video that will also work. For the strength videos you can either add them under Quick Track or you can add the individual exercises on your fitness page by clicking on Add Strength exercises.

In order to be considered for the prizes you do need to start May 1 st.

Hi everyone - When we log our strength training exercises (ie banana, plank, etc) does that automatically link to the challenge or is there something else we need to do to have it count?

I did exercises last night but joined some challenges this morning so I am guessing the exercises done last night (and I also did the 12 abs pilates exercises) will not count towards challenge, correct? Also, if we do a video how do we link that to our strenght training?

MACHOL - there is no purchase required to participate. All the videos can be found on the sparkpeople website and on youtube. If you look on the team page you'll see a place where you can click on the week one challenge and all the videos will be listed there.

Some of the videos do have a printable version that allows you to print out instructions. Others do not but you could watch them and make a list of the exercises yourself.

There are some members on the team who are repeating the videos more than once to get in a bigger amount of fitness minutes. This program is designed to encourage anyone at any fitness level to participate, so please feel free to modify it to fit your needs.

You can combine it with other strength programs as your fitness level allows, but I would just encourage you to make sure that you try and do similar body parts on the same day. For example, if you're doing upper body on a different program try and coordinate it to when this one is upper body. You need to give your body a 24 hour period of rest in weight lifting.

Congrats on working out and pushing towards your goals!

SUZYJB - some of the videos do have printable instructions, and others do not. You can find the link to the printable instructions on the video page right below the picture screen. I do not know of a way to save them to your pc. Another option would be to watch them and make a list that you can follow yourself.

Good job thinking ahead and making a plan so that you can participate even without computer internet access!

ELEGANTFLOWERS - beautiful screen name! As far as the weights, use the ones you are most comfortable with and then challenge yourself throughout the program. You should limit the weight increase to less than 10% at a time.

In order to be eligible for the prizes, you do have to start on May 1st. You can withdraw from the team and rejoin to clear, or if Sara knows another way I'll let her respond to that part. She may know something I don't about that.

So, I'm really enthusiastic about doing this bootcamp, but I have a couple questions.

1. Is ten minutes a day enough, or should I repeat the video and do the workout twice?

2. I'm already using an SP generated strength-training program three days a week (full body, the "bikini workout for beginners"), and I was wondering if it will be a good idea to continue this program in addition to the bootcamp videos?

I am really excited for this month-long challenge. However, over this next month I am living where there is no wireless internet or an ability to access the online videos as I want them. Is there a way to download the videos when I can access wireless and save them to my computer? Thanks!

I am on day 4 of the exercises. I didn't realize when I started I was suppose to start on May 1 for the challenge. Should I start back at day 1 tomorrow? When starting with weights, should I just start with the 5 lbs ones.

I workout 6x week for at least an hour. Some days it's just stretch for an hour but add a 10-15 min ab routine to it. Since I am already putting my fitness in the tracker does that count for the cardio and toning part of the challenge? I don't know why but I always find myself on some wild goose chase to get to the right videos. The cardio ones aren't difficult to find and I don't mind doing an extra 10 minutes of something else for variety, but the link for the toning exercises took me to another link, which took me to another link, etc. A bit annoying.

Is the point of this challenge just to exercise and communicate with the group or about using what's on the site?

First Spark Challenge so it's somewhat unclear.

LATVIAN_SANDY, Make sure that you are keeping your back on the floor as much as possible by visualizing that you are using your muscles to push you back down. That should help your tailbone. You might want to try using a yoga mat or some other cushioned mat as well. Carpet is definitely better than hardwood floors, but additional cushioning would probably help.

LUCY, On the team page look for the "Challenge Details" box. Click on the link that says "Complete Week 1 Action Steps". This will take you to an exact copy of the weekly e-mail that gets sent out. There is a link there for all of the videos. Hope that helps!

Does this challenge HAVE to be done using Nicole's videos and schedule?

I'm currently halfway through the INSANITY program and right now is where I have my biggest mental battle- to finish the second month of it. So I'm hoping I can use this challenge to help get me through May- and FINISH the program!!!

So I really hope it's okay to be here, but doing something else for my workouts.

SCRAPHAPPY, There is actually an entry for Walk Away the Pounds under cardio that you can use. Click on "Add Cardio" on your fitness page and type "Walk away the pounds" in the search box. Choose "Aerobics, general, low impact (Including Walk Away the Pounds). Tracking it this way will show your cardio minutes total on your fitness page as well as give you an estimated number of calories burned for your workout. Hope that makes sense!

SCAPHAPPY09, What type of video is it? Is it strength training exercises or is it walking or some other type of cardio? Probably the easiest way to track it would be to use Quick Track which is located at the top of your fitness page. You can enter the amount of minutes you exercised for and the name of the video and it will be given credit for your fitness minutes.

I did Walk Slim Fast & Firm 4 Really Big Miles this morning and wanted to add it to my fitness tracker. Where do I add it? Cardio or Strength Training?

Any help is much appreciated!

KATHYM, You will still get credit, but it is possible to add the videos to the day that you actually did them on. Below the "Add to Fitness Tracker" button there is a link in red that says "Add Workout to a Different Day". A calendar will pop up and you can choose the day that you actually did the video on. Hope that helps!

Thanks, Michele! I may create my own transcript/notes for the ones that don't have it. I may commandeer a conference room at my workplace and do the strength training workouts on my afternoon break. I always need a pick me up around 3pm, and exercise is a better choice than junk food :)
