Today I had a skinnycow ice cream sandwich which I know fits in my calories for the day I should have had a piece of fruit.

Sometimes ice cream just has to be eaten!! I would have to say the donuts I bought for my grandson yesterday morning which he never showed up to eat so I did. Those are pretty much wasted calories and I wasn't that impressed with the donuts.

I had that snacking desire, too, so I had a bag of microwave popcorn. That's not so bad when the grandkids are here to share but I ate the entire thing.

I'll check that one out, too! This morning after water aerobics and trying to catch the neighbor's loose dog ( and me with wet hair in 40 some degrees) I had a homemade from fresh pumpkin muffin. A couple from church makes them with some of the broken pumpkins for the patch we have at church and donates all the money to help the needy. They are SO good and you know they are healthier than any store bought, but I'm sure they have a lot of calories.

Those bars are really good. One of the holiday recipes from skinnytaste. About 125 calories each but they do the trick for me. It has a lite cream cheese and powdered sugar topping but you use very little of it. We keep them in the house so we don't have to worry about the donut shops. I make them and the prep time is maybe 15 minutes then in the oven for another 15.

Never quit dreaming.

My old workout buddy invited us to a fundraiser dinner because another couple cancelled so instead of fast food we had a nice healthy baked chicken dinner. I did give in to the cookies and had a couple of those-didn't need them but they were great. lol

The bag of popcorn I ate was a lot worse than that and I kept thinking I should stop but ate the whole thing. I need a really good day today. Had coffee with my friend this morning and only had the coffee-we meet on Dunkin every Friday-sometimes 2 like today but usually 5 or 6 of us.

Sounds like a good idea. I have found that when I don't eat something for a long period when I do decide to indulge it just doesn't taste anywhere near as good as I remembered.

It was 170 calories but there was a wierd taste to it. Maybe the type of chocolate coating used. Think I will stick with my butterscotch bars and banana nut bread with less calories.

Butterscotch bars and lowfat banana nut bread from another popular website. I can make them and put them in the fridge but I know they are there and will sometimes have an extra one like yesterday. I would rather make these and have them instead of store bought chips and cookies.

Hummus and naan bread. My tummy is revolting in major bouts and has cancelled any thoughts I had of walking tonight. I guess we all get one day off, huh? I should have known something that I never eat would be a Tummy Terrorist!

But I did make my protein goal, and flew over the bottom threshold without a protein shake today. YAY!

I stick with just a tablespoon or less of ranch as the vinegarettes tend to burn my stomach.
I had a drumstick ice cream cone but don't really regret it as I didn't get much else for lunch after mowing.

If you use one Tbsp of honey is 64 calories.
I do my with 1 Tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 Tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar and 1 Envelope of Truvia Natural Sweetener and is 127 Cal, but I normally have enough for 2 servings.
If I'm being really good I dip the fork and then pinch the lettuce.... emoticon
PS: Hidden Valley Ranch 2 Tbsp is 140 calories

I have actually learned to love vinaigrette since I started making my own at home. I add a spoon of brown mustard and a dab of honey and throw in a couple whole cloves of roasted garlic for flavor ( I don't eat those). I don' know the calories of the honey but I know it beats the heck out of the ranch I was eating.

I went a little mishugina with the ranch dressing. I still skidded in under my goal for the day, but I remember thing as I was spooning it on-- geez, this is kinda dumb. Next time I'm going to get a nice vingarette-- heavy on the vinegar and lighter on my thighs ! emoticon

Ok, time to confess!
Since Saturday (My aunts birthday celebration) I have been a little out of control.
I made the choice to eat her 100's birthday cake, but once you have a sweet treat, is hard to go back to none. Specially if you have a sweet tooth like I do.
I'm working on it and I think I have it under control now but is sooooo easy to get get de railed.

Oh boy, is there anything I ate today that I don't regret!!! Well, I did have an oat cereal and skim milk for breakfast but it has been downhill since. I know I have eaten 5,000 calories; I don't even need to put it in the computer to know it.

My doctor is going to be so unhappy with me.

I didn't realize the book was only available at the big book stores which I seldom get to but I'm keeping my eye out for it.

I'm sorry I ate whatever made me sick today-may have just been the bread on the 1/2 turkey sandwich since I didn't eat anything else besides a small side salad.

I have been reading my new Spark Solution book which I received on Tuesday.

Jessi I'm proud of you, you have really thought things through and made a better choice.

HDEPREMIO= Why is it that the things that taste the best and are so tempting are always the ones that are bad for the waist!!!

I ate a couple of slaw dog. No excuse, I have plenty of healthy things to eat in the kitchen. I just wanted slaw dogs from American Hot Dogs so much. Instead, I bought their slaw and then bought hot dogs with no artificial preservatives from the store. And I ate them without bread. The buns at AHD are toasted on the grill.

I have been eating LOTS of blueberries the last couple of days so that is one good thing. I bought two pints to freeze but I am eating them so fast I will have to go buy some more. The idea was to have enough in the freezer to top off my cereal for a few months and not have to buy them frozen in the store.

I agree as we get "younger" is more things that we have to deal with and does not help.
I have come to realization that I was putting a little (a lot) more in my mouth than I was putting in garbage can.
I got the flu and lost 7 lbs now that I had that to my advantage I don't want to gained them back.
If I do everything by the letter and still gain then I need to go to the doctor and have a full tune up....LOL!

I definitely agree on the different ranges of eating. It worked for me a long time ago but now nothing works. Seems the thyroid my doctor didn't think had any problems has several cysts which could explain the bouncing numbers and tiredness.

Don't beat yourself for over eating at dinner last knight, yesterday is gone today is another day and so far you are doing good. But don't eat more because you exercise more.
Think about it you say your spaghetti's were made with ground turkey, right? That is a plus! It would had been worse if it was meat ball with beef or sausage or any other choice less healthier. The garlic bread...no so bad as long as is control to one piece and not in a daily basis....Lol emoticon
I found this article I'm working on this.....because my weight loss has been slow, but coming back to my reality either I work out too hard and eat too much or eat less but then I relax on the workout.....so who's fault is it????? - ME! also I'm 60 years young and is harder to loose....but still have hope that I can do it!!!!
My problem has been putting the left over in the garbage can instead of me.
Here is the article:
"Jillian Michaels said on the Biggest Loser to vary your caloric intake: eat on the low end for two days, eat in the middle range for three days, eat on the high end (even going a little over) on two days. This keeps your body guessing". (So yesterday was one of the high end calories intake day)
I will give you an update how I do after my weight in on Sunday.
I have cut the sugary desserts or any thing to do with sweets (one of my weakness) and every time I do this I find I can control my eating much better. I also have cut down on process carbs.

I was doing so well yesterday. I went out and ran two miles in the early am. Then steel cut oats for breakfast. My husband and I went to lunch at Sonnys BBQ and I got the charbroiled chicken with broccoli and baked sweet potato (All delicious and I only ate half of the sweet potato). Greek yogurt for a snack. Then came dinner. I ate the correct portion of spaghetti and meat sauce (ground turkey). I ate a piece of garlic bread because I really wanted it and I figured that I ran so I was good...it put me at like 1550 cals for the day. I ate, drank some water and was still STARVING. I got up and was lightheaded. So I ate another serving of spaghetti and sauce. :( So I felt awful all night and 3 days of clean, good eating down the drain. I've done excellent today though...egg beaters and tomatoes in the microwave for breakfast, turkey on rye (plain, no condiments or anything) for lunch. I'm going to have a greek yogurt in a little while then dinner.

Every Minute Counts!
Slow but steady!

Well, yesterday my daughter & son-in-law wanted to take me to Chili's to eat. I ordered so precisely on plan, then had to wait 30 minutes for our food. NOT prepared according to instructions. I was so hungry and tired by then, I ate it anyway. Only 5,000 mg of sodium and we won't even discuss the grams of fat in the sauce they put on my supposed-to-be plain steak. It will be a long time before I eat there again.

I did really good until I went to the grocery store hungry; that Hershey bar beside the cash register was calling my name. Usually I can resist sweets but for some reason, I had to have this one. I did try to make up for it by an extra hour of water aerobics tonight.

Today was a very good day for nutrition....not so much on my fitness, I have been very busy today.
Oh that process food! They are killer when it comes to the sodium.

Not today, but yesterday I ate a Marie Callendar frozen dinner without reading the label. Big Mistake!! Only 320 calories but 1,000 mgs. sodium. Gained three pounds overnight. Won't be buying any more of those.
