I have and app called droplil and it recommends
1-3 drops of each:
Frankincense
Marjoram
Lemongrass
Copaiba
Tumeric

You can premix in an empty bottle or add i-2 drops of each in hand and mix with FCO

This is good for aches, pains, cramps, muscle tenderness, head tension and over exertions.

Hope it helps

Jane, I guess I don't understand how the SP pages work. I only found your response by coming looking for it.

I love peppermint (actually all the mints) I can't be around the lavender.

Have a Blessed day!

Chris, I am not sure why you have not gotten notices other than the last time I posted was April 26. Hopefully you will get a notice now.

I have not used On Guard but picked up the gels in my last order as I have several things that make my immune system very low.

You may want to check the comments under Peppermint, Lavender and other oils that were discussed before.

I have found when people posts then others may also. Active members make an active team.

I haven't received any notices of this/these chats. I get an email for other groups I'm in every time someone posts anything. Is there a setting i'm missing.

When I joined this team I was hoping for interaction and to learn more about mixing and using the oils. I have used EO for over 20 years mostly just peppermint for tension headaches. However my exposure to DoTERRA came four years ago though family with zero no how just dump and abuse (example 99 year old grandmother was ill and they dumped two drops of cinnamon under her tongue to help her). Two years later I observed a lady from church discussing it and she was very knowledgeable and spiked my interest. I became involved on the wholesale level not a distributor.

What can I do to help revamp this page/group?

In loving kindness,
Chris

Julia, if you want to invite them to join us, great. As a team leader I do not feel it is my place to go to another team and ask them to join us. If you invite them and they join us wonderful.

I agree this one is the more active of the teams... I was thinking more in terms of herding those teams over to here. Those were the teams that seem to be very inactive...

Julia, I joined this team because my son and DIL introduced me to doTERRA. The lady who started this team has not been on for some time and was never very active.

My big hesitation of closing this team is some of the great information that is on some of the posts.

I have not tried the other essential oils and I need to be careful of what I use because of health issues.

As long as there is a little activity SP will not close the site down.

We do have another Sparker who uses "the other brand" exclusively and I'm kinda tired of that whole us vs them thing. I've wondered if we shouldn't just have a "Essential Oils" team and let both sides share their experiences? Or if they can set aside their differences? There's a lot of bitterness because of how doTerra sort of split out from some of the other company's infrastructure. But 18-19 years ago, I did a lot of research on the other company, and found some things about the leader/founder that I didn't agree with, just had a bad gut feeling, and so I chose not to join the downline for several of my friends/acquaintances who were in the thick of it. Then here about 5-6 years ago, I "discovered" doTerra and the uplines were much more friendly and open. (and in the meantime, I see that the Internet has been "scrubbed" of the references I had originally found.). So anyway it's sad. We just have to be a better example I guess.

Just went looking for "essential oils" in the Teams search and there's 8 teams listed, 3 of which don't seem to be applicable (like company Spark Teams for various companies like Murphy Oil or Coen Oil etc. completely different industry.). There are two other doTerra based teams - one with 9 members, the other with 19 members, both with the same leader. We have 57 members.

One team must have been started out as a recruiting thing - only one person, she's made her page offline, so that one is completely inactive.

So looks like we're doing pretty good!!

I do come back and read in here from time to time, but I have like 8-12 teams I keep trying to be an "administrator" for and deal with my cancer and another 30+ teams I think that I check in with on a sporadic basis. Some of my teams are even less active then this one. I believe it's just important to keep it up because there is a lot of useful information. That's how I've found some of these "orphaned" teams that I ended up taking over because I was searching online for specific info and would find it in a SparkTeam - only to find the leader had been AWOL/"inactive" for waaaay longer than the 60 or 90 days that the inactive notice appears. It's a tough call. I am thinking I will try more essential oils as complementary adjunct treatments for my cancer - I find already that Frankincense seems to be very soothing applied to my cancer areas.

And in your experience, are there any of the doTerra EO's that we should never include in food or tea? It seems like the fast majority of them, there is a mention of using them in recipes etc but I've just never quite "mustard" up the courage to try that!? Especially some of the woody stuff like cypress, frankincense etc.

I am having a great (early) morning!!

My bursitis is still under control using an oil blend rub. I tried Golden Milk but simply cannot get past the pain. So, I started filling veggie capsules with turmeric powder and take that.

I am starting to lose weight again - always a struggle but I know that losing weight will help control my inflammation (with the side effect of looking better and feeling better to boot!!).

Yigobutterfly -
Unfortunately, I am unable to take Tylenol due to other prescription drugs that I take - for pain and inflammation! which don't help all that much sometimes.

Right now, I am experiencing back pain/spasms as well as swelling in my knee all in addition to my bursitis! I went to Silver Sneakers on Monday and I think some of the movements were a bit much for my knee and back. I guess treadmill walking as well as walking in the rain are the ways I am going to be able to exercise right now! I'll put my music on my phone and be "singing in the rain"!!

Thanks for all of your advice.

Leal, I hope you can find something that helps. When I am in a lot of pain I take Tylenol extra strength, apply Deep Blue and then drink Tonic Water as it has quinine in it. I drink about a half cup and usually the three reduces the pain so I can sleep if it is interfering with it.

Thanks, YIGOBUTTERFLY! I believe I have all of those oils, both the first group as well as the second group! I'll let you know what I come up with.

I am also going to try Golden Milk. Have to get to the store for a fresh batch of almond milk but probably this week. Turmeric is supposed to help with inflammation and pain.

I told my doctor to just amputate my body!! LOL! I figure if we can have all the joints in our body replaced, body amputation is the next thing for those of us in extreme pain!! Bionic Woman!!

Leal, I checked a book I have on oils and it suggested Basil, Cypress, White Fir, Balance and Deep Blue for the primary choices. Then ginger, Roman chamonile, margoram and Wintergreen for second choices. Not sure what all you have tried but perhaps this will help.

I also like Deep Blue. I just wish it came in "vat" size so I could soak my whole body in it!!

I have tried a number of oils and blends for my shoulder bursitis. Unfortunately, I have not come across anything that works - the bursa gets filled with fluid and causes extreme pain.

Does anyone know of something that will help me reduce the inflammation?

Good to hear from you two. I use breath and peppermint to keep my sinuous open. I also use deepblue to ease muscle aches. I really like that I can massage deepblue on the neck and it sooths the whole back.

I am back on SP after a year away. I use doTerra oils daily. Primarily Breathe. When I go to bed, I immediately plug up and cannot breath through my nose AND I am on CPap! So, I always put Breathe on my nostrils, put my CPap mask on and have no problem.

I also use On Guard in my diffuser. This winter, all of the people I am around had colds, bronchitis, etc. I did not get anything!

Hi Jane -

I've been using Frankincense all during my cancer rehab thing as well as Copaiba - both for pain relief. Not sure how that second one is spelled. It's the one that is kind of doTerra's answer to using CBD oil but without actually using any part of the hemp plant. Copaiba apparently connections to the same cannabanoid pain receptors in the body the same or similar way as CBD oil does. I did use CBD oils from other companies up until the third chemo, when basically my taste and texture sensors in my mouth quit working properly and the CBD oil began to taste and feel awful. But.. once all that got healed up when I quit the chemo, I've been able to use CBD oil also, as needed. I tend to use the Frankincense and it's about gone. I need to go on their website and get joined back up again as a member so I can reorder product.

As for the team - I've no idea. So many of the teams I'm on are going "in-active" and I end up trying to rescue them because there is good info. As a result I spend more time trying to "lead" the other teams instead of taking care of myself.

She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms.
