I have neighbors who generate loud noise every night after midnight and into the morning. That's why I drink 2 Frappucinos in the morning sometimes. It's an evil solution for me, as I need to avoid caffeine and calories. But until they move or I do (can't afford to) I feel it's something I'm stuck doing.

I am struggling with the idea that today I may not exercise because instead I need to do alot of intense vacuuming to protect my recovering cat. Especially vacuum under the bed. I have to lay on the floor to do that and not hit myself in the head pulling over my very light vacuum.

You are so very welcome! I get more answers here than on FB, although of course I love my friends and family.

I lack common sense and never thought to do some research.

As for frappucino, go ahead and splurge every once-in-a-while! I treat myself to homemade mochas. I would rather drink a mocha or two as opposed to gorging on a ton of food. Yes?

202 calories vs. 400 calories!

TODAY I struggled with having 2 Stabucks Vanilla Frappucino instead of just one (that's 400 calories!), I would have done better having only 1 Frappucino and one hot tea with Truvia pkts and lemon--that's only 2 calories!

I would look online for articles which compare the two exercise equipment. I do not always trust SP as being the most accurate advice. Here are some articles:

I get the impression that they are fine for moderate weight loss and exercise. They are used for physical therapy and are as effective as moderate walking and do provide some weight loss and health benefits. Especially seem to be recommended for working people or elderly. I would read the articles and also read some articles on recumbent bikes and draw my own conclusions.
Price can be a deciding factor as well as time and space. I chose a recumbent bike over the pedaller (I considered it) because I don't have an comfortable chairs in my home nor is the couch the right height and I was worried about foot size. I like the exercise bike because it is safe for my balance problems and I feel that my lower body gets a work out.
I agree with you, something is better than nothing!

Sparkpeople Support told me in so many words that my fitness pedal exerciser means nothing and to walk or use a stationary bike instead.

Is not some exercise better than no exercise?

How do you feel about this? A fitness pedal exerciser is just like a recumbent but one may sit wherever one wants.
