Well I found a recipe on Spark People that seems pretty simple and since most of the ingredients are on sale this weekend I thought to give it a try. Wish me luck.

Have any of you made Egg-plant Parmesan? I have only tasted this dish once and it was at a restaurant. I did not really taste anything so I figured I would like to try the recipe at home, but there are so many versions out there. Anyone have any suggestions?

Good Morning,

I am in Sacramento today for a big Super Bowl party. Be home tomorrow.
Saw my diabetic Dr on Friday she is not happy with my numbers or my weight and wants me to follow WW so I will start today ( on my own ) can't afford the meeting at $ 20.00 a pop.I have all the tools just have to apply it.

Bob weighed the same as last Sunday when he weighed this morning. I'm up 3 lbs. Not a happy camper. I'm going to go back to weighing just once a month, on the first of each month. I can still do the challenge that way.

So far it seems to just be in Broward County and that's about 200 miles south of us. I sure hope it doesn't hit our county (Brevard).

Bob saw lung doctor today. Doing ok but doctor wants him to have 8 lbs. off by his next appt. in August. We'll see how that goes.
It was 43 when we got up this morning but only going to get up to 61 for the high.

Well, after reading the article about the Winter Blues, I apparently have it. I have been feeling depressed and stressed. I have been wanting crackers and sweets a lot. Since I usually do not have this stuff around the house, I have been cutting up an apple at night adding brown sugar and cinnamon then heating it up in the microwave. This has done the trick, but I will be glad when it warms up again and I can go outside during the day for a little sunshine.

Hope you're all having a good day. The roofers have been here, fixing our roof and replacing a cap with a new vented cap. Hopefully we now won't have any more leaks when it rains.

I am sleeping very, very well lately. Maybe too well. On certain days, I even have a little energy. It is sporadic, however. Today I hope my energy picks up. We'll see!

Being a diabetic I have to eat 3 meals plus 2 snacks a day. I use to eat when I get hungry.

Sandra, I wanted to thank you for pushing to get at least 9000 steps a day. I have been lucky that the weather has been good, but I am working out in the morning (starting with stair stepping) then I have gotten out at lunch each day and I walk the dog a little when I get home. I am waiting for it to stay lighter outside in order to go for full walks. I needed the push and I really just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!!

Vicki, I kind of go both ways. I think it is helpful to eat three main meals and two snacks and make each a bit smaller throughout the day, but there are times when I am just not hungry and if that is the case then I do not eat. I would rather not eat then eat something and feel sick or eat too much. I think it is important to listen to our bodies.

I am not always a good listener though. LOL

Not sure if this is helpful, but I will ask you this....why does your husband get mad when you do not eat? Is he worried that you are not feeding your body correctly?

Being married, we tend to eat at set times for the basic meals but there are lots of times I'm not actually hungry at meal times, and it causes a few arguments if I won't eat ( Bob gets ticked off). But I think the worse thing I can do is force myself to eat if I'm not hungry. What are your thoughts on this?

You do have a lot to deal with right now. Just remember that over eating food doesn't make it better. It just makes you feel worse about yourself. Take care of yourself so you're up to helping your family members if need be. emoticon

Today I am starting over with a clean slate. Yesterday is past. I hardly eat any sweets cause I am diabetic yesterday I went overboard with the sweets had such a bad stomach ache and my B/S was through the roof this morning.I will have to adjust my insulin accordingly. I have to be more honest with myself and log EVERYTHING I eat.

I have a lot on my plate right my mom is still here but not much time left and my sister I just found out has blood clots on the left side of her brain. I will be helping my sister. I know what is going on with my life right now doesn't give me the green light to eat anything I want.

I have reset my goals so here I go!!!
