That's the only one I could find. I think the original article was removed from the site for some reason.

Thank you! I noticed it now goes to the printable version, which doesn't permit comments, but at least the series is accessible for those interested. Day 12 is working again :)

Hey, Coach Jen (or any staff member) --

Day 12 of this challenge has a really good article that disappeared!! I can find in via Spark Search in a printable format at https://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/artic
les_print.asp?id=1822

Other folks seem to be as disappointed as I am in finding the link dead. The final pose is ridiculous for folks with limited mobility but the rest are great. Can this be fixed? The article was 8 Seated Yoga Poses You Can Do from a Chair. I don't mean taking off the last pose, just fixing the link. I looked at other search results within Spark re: chair yoga, and this appears to be the only one really suitable for the challenge.

Thanks much.

I just happened to find the challenge agsin so i decided to start on day 1 and do it again! The difference between the first time i did it several months ago and now should be very noticeable! I have lost 50plus pounds and have been swimming and doing exercises regularly. So i am anxious to try it again. Just to see if its easier this time around!!

I'd love to join the challenge too. I'm limited with my legs - use a walker to walk outside the home - but still need to lose the weight. I believe it would help my mobility and wouldn't be so heavy on the knees...

Coach Jen I hope you don't mind but I started a chat thread. I think it will give us a place to get to know each other and give support.

I would love to see it acting more like a continuing team effort to encourage and share our lives with. At 70 and the progression of m neuropathy and arthritis together I will continue to need the love and the encouragement of others and the chance to share positives into other's lives too. I would even like a positive name like Spark People Meeting the Challenge of Limited Mobility. Have a glorious day!! I got in 27 miniutes on my stationary bike this morning... started at 10 minutes two weeks ago and working up - was aiming at 30 minutes today but pulse went too high [heart stents and cardio Doc's rules] so cut it a little short - Thursday will be another day!!!

It's a team for those who are doing or have completed the challenge.

So is this an actual team or just a challenge. I did the challenge a few months ago, not doing the challenge now.

Thanks Coach Jen, I have therapy 2x a week with exercises to do at home which say 2 times a day. 10-20reps depending on the resistance ... I've started with 10 and am working up. But I'm also adding a bit of seated cardio as well.. maybe I'll cut out the cardio. It could also be the heat as it had been a bit warm here and I need to drink a bit more water.

How many days/wk are you exercising? If you've gone from no activity to activity almost every day, that might be too much, too soon. I'd start with 3-4 days per week and then slowly build from there.

Coach Jen, how soon after you start working out should I start feeling not so tired.... I've only been working out, or doing therapy for about a week, and I'm beginning to feel tired.... legs heavy... is that because they aren't used to a workout. I'm doing no more than what the therapist suggests , and if I do any cardio its from my chair... Just curious... Will talk to therapist Tues.

You'll get an email each day with the day's challenge. You don't have to do all of them- just do the ones that work best for you.

Hope that helps,

How does the challenge work? Do you need to complete day 1 on day 1, day 2 on day 2 etc.? I'm extremely overweight, but starting to loose, have arthritis in my knees, and worse, my feet. emoticon

Is there any way a sparkmail telling them about the team could go out activated when a person joins the calendar challenge - just a thought

Thanks for the feedback. I don't think there's another place I can link the team to on the challenge wall, but I'll see if it's possible.

Hi Jen - I was interested in the Limited mobility challenge - It was a valuable addition to your challenges -
I don't think a lot of people realise this group is here - they go to the calendar challenge and post comments there but don't realise this group is here for further support.
I know there is a little message by the calendar saying to come here but I think they are missing that

Thanks for the idea! I just made a post, but it will only stay up for 48 hours. I'll try to remember to do it regularly.

Hi, Jen!

I wondered if you could pin a post on the Challenge Feed so folks know they can introduce themselves and ask questions on the Team Page? I think a lot of folks are unaware of this option. The Feed updates so frequently, intros are missed unless one scrolls down and peruses the feed.

I realize there is a link on the Daily Challenge Page referring folks to the Challenge Team Page for further support etc, but that is rather vague and people may not realize how much interaction is possible.

Thank you!
Runeshadow
