That sounds good. Beans are so filling and full of fiber. One of my favorite recipes is from spark

1/2 cup cooked pasta
1/2 cup canned tomatoes
1/4 cup canned northern beans
Mrs. Dash seasoning
1. Tb of olive oil
2 Tb. of parmesan cheese

It's filling and stays under 400 calories for the serving

Since many cannot go out, I thought sharing 2 ingredient recipes would be helpful. Items already in our pantry.

I am sharing a recipe I have made twice so far that I found on YouTube.

Mix softened cream cheese with salsa.

Dip whatever you want! Tortilla chips, vegetables, potato chips, crackers, etc.

I even threw in a can of black beans.

I hope you like.

I will gladly keep active on this team! I just signed up for the 5%Spring Challenge. I will try to post something daily. Thank you for adding me to your friends list! I definitely need encouragement!
I weighed this morning and was an even 176...I am losing a lot slower this time around but I feel good about sticking to this even when I am a turtle when it comes to losing.
I lost nearly all my weight on my first attempt with spark people. Only to gain it back and then some. I don’t know why, but I feel more confident that I am going to make it to goal this time.
Maybe because I am not trying to compete with anyone else. Trying not to get upset that the scale is not moving in the right direction very fast.

I am at 177 pounds. Around Thanksgiving last year, I was at 158 to 160. Holidays do usually make me gain weight. But, I am usually good at shedding the pounds afterward.

Would you kindly keep active on our team? Being that we weigh mostly the same, maybe we can cheer each other on?

Hello! I am glad we are here also! My lowest weight so far.....176.6. Drum roll please! emoticon
I can give some advice on what not to do....that is to cut your calories too drastically....this has kept me from losing weight at a good pace. I have lost better when I come closer to my allotted calories. So, it is true when they say that your body goes into starvation mode when you cut your calorie intake too drastically. Believe me, when I say that I am a prime example.

Don’t think I have quit this group if you don’t see me for awhile... I usually come back when I have something to report! But if you need me to post more often for support, I will post more often.

Do you ever use crockpots and microwaves? I use the two every day. They save stress and time and help out with portion control.

Look into the effects of consuming too much mercury- sometimes seeing it all laid out like that helps. If that doesn’t slow you down, then do what makes you happy. emoticon

But I absolutely love Acapulco Tuna Salad... I do like lunchmeat, but I do get tired of lunchmeat.

With the tuna salad, I get in those Omega 3 s and some lettuce.

I would only have the tuna twice a week. Keep searching for new recipes that you love and switch them up- that way you don’t eat any one thing so much you get sick of it emoticon

Well, I weighed myself this week and dropped 3 pounds. I guess better than not losing, but I always fluctuate.

I have a super recipe for a dish by JoAnna M. Lund called Acapulco Tuna Salad. JoAnna lost over 100 pounds by tweaking her own recipes and has numerous cookbooks of such recipes. Well, the tuna salad comes out of her cookbook titled "Party Fare". I would like to have the tuna salad for lunch every day. However, the experts say not to have tuna more than twice a week due to mercury poisoning. What would you do?
