Christina....Yeah on the DVR in time for Loser! I have my recorder set to tape while I am at my meeting.

Tomorrow morning is going to be spent canning peaches so I can get the processing done before church. I need to get my lesson done too.

I made it to the treadmill before piano lessons today so I'm happy about that. Finally down to the final3 on Master Chef. Just a little behind on my viewing. LOL

Circus project could be fun! clowns, acrobats, lion tamers,,,

I just got in from helping in Ben's class. I have about 20 mins to chill before I start the afternoon routine of gathering them all up from the afterschool activities. I have youth Team mtg tonight. I was really bummed that I was going to miss the biggest loser premier!!! BUT Gary called last week to get a DVR hooked up for me! It should be here any time now. I am so excited I rarely watch tv because Gary and the boys always watch all the fishing and manly shows. Now I will be able to watch things like whie I am on the treadmill and elliptical.

Kelly I hope your enjoying your teeth scraping day!

Heather~Sorry about the rough night and have fun with the Circus Project!

Getting ready to start school for the day. Thought I'd take 30 min. of me time prior. Just needed it! LOL Glad I have everything ready for the meeting tonight. With piano this afternoon I'm needing to find time on that treadmill somehow. Maybe I can get it done before we leave.

The Spa certainly was nice. I need to head back for another massage. I slept horribly last night. Woke up almost every hour (and no child to blame it on). Should have taken a nap this morning but read instead.

Reading = Eating I know this about me but just can't stop. At least I finished my book so should be on track again tomorrow.

Lisa - good to see you on the boards. Adjusting to a new lifestyle always brings new challenges.

I'll be going with Joseph's class the next three mornings to a Circus Project. I'll know more tomorrow emoticon

Whoo Hooo Lisa's in the house! emoticon

Where to start? Well as you all know I have been more off than on lately, apparently that got me a 15 POUND gain in about 3 months. I must say that was very easy to do. Hubby is still working in Cleveland and hopefully after the first of the year I may be able to work 3 days a week. The beginning of September me and the kids went with granny to Myrtle Beach and had a great time. Hubby couldn't get off work and ironically since he is working again, this allowed for a very enjoyable week at the beach with the kids. Still adjusting to the changes but things are getting better.

Trying to find my way back to Sparking

Hi ladies! Another long day at the homeschool co-op but I didnít come home with a headache this time! LOL The music lady that stressed me out last night emailed at 11 p.m. (right as I was heading to bed) and sheíd backed off her original goals so I went to bed without worries. Whew! Came home with two worm habitats today though. Gotta love science class! LOL Tomorrow night is our monthly leadership meeting so I spent time getting everything ready for the agenda and then Friday night is our first momís night so Iíll be going to that as well. Going to be a busy week in a different way. A lot of time without family in the evenings as they are gone tonight and Thursday, Iíll be gone Tuesday and Friday and then there is church on Wednesday.

Christina~I noticed you had a lot of mommies on the new challenge. I think thatís great!!!

Kelly~I enjoyed the spa day in my imagination today! You donít often hear of adults getting tubes in their ears. Good you went with her. So how does the dental hygienist justify making all those chocolate covered apples? Hmmmm? Glad you get time out to work tomorrowÖyouíve been needing that! I am getting my social interaction at Bible study and now with the homeschool co-op stuff.

Dorothy~Sounds like you had a long day with doctors and driving. Glad you got home for Zumba!

Yeah...I get to work tomorrow. It's a little more inconvient now that Chaz is in K, but he can just get on the bus with the sitters kids...at 7:10. How ridiculous. There are kids getting on at 6:30 in the county....and off at 5! That's just not right.
Guess I will be at work early, so I can take my walking shoes. Nice if I could do Curves, but sweating hygeinist working on teeth just sounds gross for all involved. I missed Zumba and Curves tonight :( (Tim got home too late)
Doro. I can't beleive you do all that driving and still get to zumba...you are hard core!! Way to go!

going to bed early to dream of social interaction and hearing the latest before reading it 2 weeks later when I find the paper behind the toilet! Tomorrow is Grandparents Day at School, so I was feeling a little left out anyway. Both Gmas are going and Chaz memorized his part in the welcoming....he's very excited. younz have a good night....meet me in the tavern for some kareoke.....

Hi girls. I took MIL to get tubes in her ear today. she was going to drive herself as her POA dd is away at the beach....a much needed rest from her retired carefree lifestyle??? I quit trying to figure her out. so I offered to take her because I do have a conscience and it bothered me to let a 79 yo woman go alone. she ended up being fine--when I had tubes put in, I was overnight in the hosp. things are different 40 years later!! The tube didn't really help, now they want to put in an implant. Interesting. We had a nice lunch, and found some really cool pumpkins. Kids were surprisingly good!
so is everyone up to their ears in crazyness today???

Hi girls. All those peaches and pears, yum...I end up with lots and not using them because I like the to look at them after all that work! I just dumped salsa and deer meat ?? that was white and NASTY...Tim did it before we were married!!! YIKES, HE actually thought we should eat it!! NO WAY!
Christie, I can't believe you are almost into 3rd!! Seems like just last month you were telling us about your miracle!
Cynd so glad the grades are beter than you thought, that is a nice feeling I bet. I don't know if Chaz gets grades...I saw a paper the other day with -6 and there were only 8 things on it...NOT GOOD. I asked him about it and he still insists he did it right...
Janet bummer on working your afternoon away...a real nap and book would be my pick.
Doro Congrats on the new washer, I think...sometimes those projects all lead to more projects and it just grows out of control. High fives on the golf winnings!
Christina are you busy with family fun?
I walked over 5 miles today, big mile uphill in 12 mins! very out of shape,,,and now I'm SORE. Hip hurts awful...getting too old.lol

Our quiet afternoon without children is already over. LOL We dropped them off after church, went to lunch at Mongolian BBQ (yummy!) and then came home. I worked on snacks for tomorrow...burned the bottoms of the muffins so ended up going to the grocery store after all...and then played Wii football to try to figure it out for Isaac. And...they are home. I should have taken a nap.

I found a lady to help with the music for our opening at co-op starting tomorrow and she's stressing me out! I know this is why I need that piece gone from my world, but I tell you the headache and shoulder ache came right back after the 2nd phone call. It will be fine...just need to pray!

Hi all,

It sounds like it has been busy around here.

Christie - way to go on so close to that 3rd trimester.

I got some of L's grades and he isn't doing as badly as the daily notes would make me think.

We were busy all weekend in the yard and then bicycling and no, I didn't fall this time.

We are all doing great! I only gained 6 lbs at my last doctor appointment. A true miracle. Perhaps I won't get that fat after all!

Two more weeks until the 3rd trimester!

Hope you are all doing well!

My house disaster is a disaster today. Hubby picked up my washer and dryer and we had to clear a path to the washroom. now there is a dryer sitting in the middle of my kitchen and and my washer is not set up yet. Tryed talking hubby into switching out toilet while bathroom was empty - don't know if I got him talked into it - toilets have only been sitting here for two years - lol!!! Golf banquet was nic last night and I won some nice prizes, The food was delish but I am not use to eatinig like that - so no scale for me this morning. Thye have some beautiful mums for sale at walmart with oornametal grass growing in the middle of them - may have to buy one.

Janet - tht is a lot of peaches - you go girl. I use to can peaches but the price got so ridulous that I quit. I guess that is one reason i don't anymore - the time factor and cost. But they sure make the house fell warm and cozy and they taste so good.

Kelly - just think of the good example you are settng for your kids. Keep on exercising girl!

Kelly~How are those apples coming? What did you find out on that whole thing anyway? For applesauce...I use anything I have on hand! I've got reds and yellows (no idea what type) that we got off our trees a couple years ago canned that I grind up. I sometimes add pears with them for a different flavor.

Got 7 quarts of pears (all done for this year) and 22 quarts of peaches done today. That leaves about 66 more quarts of peaches to go, but it goes so fast with everyone helping. Isaac did great today with his job of skinning the peaches...couldn't keep up with him this year! I still have two canners worth to water bath and then I can be done today.

I also managed to get 4 loads of laundry (small ones) done too!

Hi all
Janet. way to go on those peaches and pears! Still just not into it this year...usually the cooler temps get me in the mood to can! It's nice today and the market has macs and gala. What kind do you use for sauce?
Heather that sounds so fun to hang out and enjoy each other's company. It's nice you don't have to "plan" those times. Hoping the nerve block keeps her comfortable-should. I didn't know they had Spark teen..awesome! It's great that he is aware and willing...you must be a great influence on him! Keeping them moving during school would be a challenge. Wonder if the teens have a quick fire style team?
Doro I wonder where M gets his exercise obsession??? Gee, you are the Fitness Queen! My kids like to workout with me, but that's more like use me as a jungle gym.
Christina....don't look at A team finish, we were last ---I know how you hate to lose!! I just was lame, but lost weight. Crazy. Not complaining though...about the weight, losing in competions rots.
Cynd what are you up to...kiddos feeling better?
My 2 are napping...very tired and silly today. Most Tims family are going to spag supper....funny how it doesn't even sound good to me. Now if it was a frappe....been refraining, over a week so far. But about this bucket of Dove chocolate waiting on the apples...a few slivers here and there, oops.

Heather - it is sad that our kids ahve to worry about there wight - 8 pounds isn't bad. My son is always talking about exercising - I should proabaly fime a couple of times a week to exercise with him - it would be good for both of us. Hope your mom is doing well. I bet it was a bittersweet day yesterday realising how much your little boy was growing up.

Kelly - I agree - it wou;d be great if we could just have family colonies and all live together - i would be so happy. I keep thinking that if we build we have to make sure we have space set up in case one of our mothers end up with us. Fall is a great time - I use to live hay rides - haven't been on one in years - should go look for one!!

Janet - yea - ypu got the lawn mowed. I will probably mow ours today at some point - I do have to work today but there should be time either befor or after.

Christina - I love crazy time like that too - all the confusion of having all my kids home just makes me so happy!! This will be the first weekend in the last three that we do not have anyone extra here.

It has been down in the 40's the last couple of days - brr... and only in the 60's during the day. Not ready for this. My dauther was able to get the washer and dryer for me from direct buy for half price - can't wait to get them!!

Good Morning All,

Actually slept in today. Was surprised I was able to. That's one of the nice things about the kids getting older.

I talked with mom earlier on Friday. She was going to be released in the afternoon. They were able to put a block (nerve?) in her arm for the surgery and are wanting the block to be able to last until Monday. That is helping with the pain.

My 13 yo son, Nick, helped me outside in the yard yesterday. He mowed (for allowance $) but then remained outside without asking if he could be done. We worked together on edging, raking and weed pulling. It was really cool because we both realized he's growing up. Looking forward to more times like that in the coming years. When we were done we played a game of Horse with the basketball with the other two kids. Eventually moved to 4 Square cause the youngest can't make baskets yet. Great afternoon.

Most people here are very healthy (thin). Nick is a little overweight and feeling bad about it. Yesterday he joined Spark Teen and discovered he is only 8 pounds overweight. He just needs to be more active (which we've been telling him) to bring his weight back in to balace with height. It made him feel better. He's decided to make sure he does some type of exercise on the days he doesn't have PE class for at least 30 min.

The weekend is not "scheduled" so we should have lots of fun family time. Have a good one,

Heather

RGSR looks fun! I never knew Colorado was so exciting!
Just got back from the football game. Rather cold, 50. Crazy weather, but I LOVE the Fall. I could spend everyday riding hay wagons pulled by big cloppy footed horses, eating caramel apples, smelling leaves and solving corn maze mysteries.
Heather. I feel bad for you not being able to just scoot over to your mom's. Mine is only 20 mins away, and I still don't like it! She has bronchitis and lives alone, I just would feel better if she was here with me. Our personalities clash alot, but seems dumb for her to spend so much $ to live there. Wonder why more families don't consolidate? One electric bill etc instead of multiple....maybe domestic violence would increase lol. Mom and I aren't that bad...speaking of such, I just found out my cousin got arrested and spent a nite in jail...a few years ago she left her "normal"life for a guy on the internet. They married and now, less than a year, he beats her to inches of death. She calls the police all the time, but she refuses to leave. This time they said they had to "do something to protect themselves" and if she refused to go to safety, she would be arrested and they DID! Good for them--but she went back....only 49. Her 2 grown boys have a few kids that are all being raised by who kknows who and the one son is in jail lookiing at Federal Pen. He is only 20! I think she is just LOST and getting drunk all the time to cope. Haven't talked to her for a year or so...her so'called man keeps us out so to speak. Just needs prayer and a way to get out....Can not imagine the horror, and to think how many endur it...and I get annoyed Tim got me a blue Phillies shirt instead of red. I'm such a brat.

All my kids were here for dinner tonight! I love these days!!! Gary and I stood back at one point and shared a moment of just enjoying the craziness of it all!

Janet I have had a few of those emotional moments especially with Ben. He was a newborn when we brought him home from the hospital. So when different diagnoses would pop up I was really hit emotionally. I always thought we could love him enough that his prenatal exposures wouldn't be an issue. I think as moms we want so much for our children! I'm sending you long distance hugs!

Heather how are ya holding up?

we have a cross country meet early in the morning we have to leave here at 6:45am. So we are off to bed.

I did get the lawn mowed! Now I'm waiting on the rice to finish cooking so I can put dinner together. I managed to get caught up on all my SP threads though while waiting which was fun.

So...Colorado Springs for the weekend. We're going to spend time exploring the Royal Gorge. I'm offering some links for the train ride and about the bridge/park.

Dorothy~Enjoy your end of year golf banquet and WHOO HOO on the new washer and dryer! Sometimes it is the little things. LOL

Christina~I too was touched by your story about your children. So precious.

Heather~Praying your mom's wrist heals well.

Kelly~You know...some people just need to be out of the house part of the time and you may be one of those. Give it some time in prayer and God will lead you.

Doing better today. I was so surprised how the "labeling" just caught my emotions off guard yesterday. I ordered one of the books this morning that the doctor suggested as I needed to get a few other things from Amazon grocery (gluten free stuff I can't find in town). I threw Isaac off a little this morning by changing his expected routine but he did okay. The errand...getting our peaches for canning. Thankfully they aren't ready yet so we aren't in rush mode, but good to have them purchased.

It rained like crazy last night so I couldn't get out and mow this morning. Hoping it will dry up enough by early afternoon so I can tackle it. It's so long again and I really don't want to wait until Tuesday. Plus...I need to get the fitness thing going again! So ready for our new challenge that starts tomorrow.

Heather - emoticon Must be so hard to be so far away some times - hope your mother is doing fine.

Chrisitina - love those aha moments of being a parent - when you are so proud you fell like your heart is going to burst. They are the best. And you have such a bigh heart.

Janet - glad you got some of your questions confrimed and now you can move one.I am sure you will find the answers out there.

Kelly - I do think Tim is right - you need to find a job to get you out - maybe jsut part time. You are always so much happier when you are interacting with adults and it will make the time with your kids much more precious.

The Falls are gorgeous as is the restaraunt.

Worked last night and got a good review for m y one year - can't beleive it has been that long!
Working tomorrow and Sunday but the hours are not bad. Have my end of year banquet for golf tomorrow night. And I am getting a new washer and dryer - yea!!

Last weeks defeat is a gateway to many victories.

Lord - grant me the Serenity to accept the things I can not change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Heather, I'm sending up prayers for your mom, and you! I know it's hard being so far away.

Janet It will be great to have the extra rescorces available to help you. Maybe a behavior thereapist? We fostered a little boy for 18 months (several years ago) We had a thereapist came to our house weekly to work with us. They taught us how to help him transition to different activities, and how to try to teach him not to be violent. If you can find someone with experience they could be very helpful.

I was busy baking pies until 9:30 last night. I'm getting ready to go drop the off for lunch today. I was very good and other than small tasting Ya know to make sure they were just right to serve emoticon The boys had the official job opf licking the pans so I didn't.

I am looking forward to changing my ticker tomorrow eatting healthy and exercising has brought my weight back down! Tomorrow starts our new challenge!!

Just realized that my long post from Wed. night got lost somewhere in cyber space. Yesterday was a stress day for me. My mom ended up having to have surgery on her wrist. She saw the Orthopedist on Wed. and they did the surgery on Thurs. Times like this the 9 hour time difference is frustrating. She came through surgery well (drs. were worried about it). She has a plate in her wrist with screws through it and into the bone. The screws come out of the skin to another plate on the outside. Praying for no infection in the bone. Also she is allergic to pain meds so please pray that the pain is miraculously minimal or non existent. Ate like crazy all day. emoticon

Janet, glad you can move forward into the next phase and hopefully you will find new resources with creative ideas for working on the skills he needs.

Kelly - yeah to naps in the van. Those days for me are pretty much over. Sometimes Joseph would fall asleep during the 5 min. drive home from Preschool. Loved it!

Christina - emoticon So glad you shared your moment with us. That's gotta be one of those "That's why we adopted" moments. Congrats to you and Gary for your sacrifice and willingness to share God's love. God's just gotta be smiling too emoticon

Cynedra - so sorry about the bike crash. Falling of a bike is no fun.

Doro - What made me realize my post was lost was when I read Christina's comment to you about exercising in spite of all your work. I had said something similar in my lost post.
emoticon How is your weekend shaping up?

Happy Thursday all emoticon

Kelly~My day sent me to the freezer for some ice cream tonight. STRESS! My right shoulder (attack side) is giving me fits tonight. Guess I'm fighting the autism today. Ugh! Yes, it is nice that we can move forward now. It's been a long wait for the "label" that we don't really care about. Thinking the ex g-ma will still say we manufactured the diagnosis somehow. I found it funny that the two weakest areas for little boy were the same areas she blasted me about often. (The social skills and communication.)

Off to watch our tape of Survivor from last night!

Seven Falls looks stunning! Hopefully we have NO Falls of our own! Thinking we should take a few Kayaks and be adventurous!! Give some folks in the Charles Court something to talk about! The roasted lamb loin sounds YUM,,,,staying away from anything with sea urchin cream on it. Even in the virtual, that just sounds nasty!

Christina. That was such a "get -me-right-there" story. ahhh, so dear and precious that you were able to be give those boys each other! And to think they love each other like that,,,thats my favorite things to watch too: when the kids are truly looking out for each other and helping the other over their own needs. Chaz just said tonight something about Livy just out there waiting on God to give her to us so she can have a big brother to teach her stuff. Sniff, sniff. God really works in these kids lives and I love seeing it, just like you said.

Janet, I guess that's a good thing, now you can move forward with dealing rather than diagnosing, right? all that stuff (behavioral) is so hard for me to understand. It just seems like it would be so much easier to ...whatever the kids are struggling with to just do it the "right" way. It's good Isaac has you to help him in the right direction. Sounds like you have already kicked into full gear on it! HUGS to ya on the long haul...

Waiting for Tim to get home from the Phillies game. Glad he had decent weather and I actually enjoyed being home alone with the kids. Chaz feel asleep in the van after school on the way up from the bus stop and slept 2 hours! Liv was quite disappointed! She has long days without him...didn't get in any fitness mins, but haven't been eating much either. Very tired...

Christina~Whoo Hoo! on the grades!!!!

Kelly~Dad burned up all the videos and photographs other than one album I managed to have elsewhere while he was living with us and still in his depression after my mom died. He did it about two days before I was planning to have the reels put on tape. I was (and am at times) quite angry about that!

Doctor appointment went well. Naturally we had to wait for about 40 minutes past our appointment time before the doctor was with us. I hate that, but you want them to take time with you as needed as well. We do like the doctor...a Christian man and since he knew we were believers he could approach some of the grief/comfort stuff with us from a godly viewpoint. Anyway... as we knew Isaac is on the autism spectrum. He wouldn't place him anywhere specifically and to us that doesn't really matter anyway. We know he is autistic and has his unique set of issues. They are geared mainly to his social skills and communication. Two very big things for being able to function in the world! Now that we have the "label" we can move forward getting financial assistance through the state so we can get things such as an IQ test, genetic screening and local help such as group meetings he can participate in to learn social skills in a different way. There are more things I'm sure, but basically that's where we're headed. I need to call Advocates for Inclusion and get in to talk with them about what we need to do and how. It was a lot to take in, but very worthwhile. He said we were right to push on trying to help him gain "normalcy" in his behaviors (manners, communication) but that it will be a long, hard road. Sigh. It appears I should keep plugging along as I have with his schoolwork, but teaching social skills will be priority one. I've got some research to do on how to teach the social rules as he does not know them nor can he pick them up by just watching.

We've had some thunder showers this evening so not sure if I'll be mowing in the morning or not. Really need to, but I'm enjoying the cooler temps tonight and the sound of the rain.

So....tomorrow for the Springs we're heading to Seven Falls! sevenfalls.com/home/index.cfm We will meet for dinner at Charles Court. www.broadmoordining.com/colorado-din

Hi Friends!
I can't believe it is already the end of the day! I still have to make 6 pies tonight. The men's Emmaus walk (spiritual retreat not literally a walk) is this weekend and I volunteered to make desert for Friday lunch. When I sign up for these thing they always seem to be far away then before I know it it is the day before and I am scrambling. LOL!

Janet can't wait to hear about the DR visit!!!

today was midterm reports already. I'm gonna brag now.
Matt A's, B's and 1 C
Matthew (who always struggles) A's, B's and 1 C!!!!!!!!! YEA
Johnny A's and 1 B

I am so proud of these boys! Tonight while Gary and I were making dinner, Matthew was trying to do his math. The poor boy has no clue how to do math. He just can't retain it. I look in the dining room and it brought me to tears. Johnny was sitting there patiently teaching him! They are as different as night and day and only 6 months apart. Johnny being younger. It is moments like these that make life worth living! 2 boys from incredibly different backgrounds both with horrible pasts who have become brothers in every possible way. I love to see God shining like that!!! Just wanted to share my miracle!

Hi girls. Today is flying by. Had a friend over for brunch to help her design a kitchen. Kinda a parody of errors, but fun time and any adult conversation is WONDERFUL! It's RAINING----crazy.
Janet, that is ashame to loose family videos...why did he do such a thing? Hoping Isaac and Meagann can cut you some slack today...and Dr. are able to give you some answers and advice on a "fix". Tim and I have been disgussing how important it is for the kids to see us being respectful to each other--and calling attention to the "assumed obvious" on our parts. With them being so young, I think we need to point things out more to them. Tim gets frustrated with "all that blh=blah=blah..."I'm thinking they only see him and I on a regular basis, so they will act like we do! soberring thought. I am an instant reactor too often, so hard to teach Chaz not to be...Tim says I have WAY too much free time to think and I should "get a job"! Maybe right! Sure would LOVE the social interaction, but we STILL need to be the best parents we can!
whoops...I better feed Liv...

Good morning ladies!

We're working through school here and I should be sewing patches on Maegann's Taekwondo uniform but I'm procrastinating at the hand stitching. She needs them tonight so they will get done. Isaac's in rare form today as far as me being totally disrespected and it has begun with his sister as well. He's also obsessing about drawing Mario Brothers too. A very GOOD day for him to see this doctor as he's got it all going on today without any help from us aka. we didn't give him gluten or eggs. LOL Will be interesting to see what this specialist has to offer us today.

Tonight while the family is gone I will get finances caught up in the computer and maybe get on the Wii Fit. I haven't been doing anything all week and it's going to change. Tomorrow will be mowing day unless it is raining as predicted. On the exercise thing..I had to weigh-in today for my Biggest Loser team and I was down 1.4 so I know it would have been more had the exercise been happening and the stress eating (chips) not happening. Thankful for what I got!

Christina - I have not canned in the last couple of years either.. Use to can tomatoes and salsa - but when hubby bought store bought salsa - I quit - way too much work and mess for nothing. Miss the tomatoes but - oh well..

Cyndrea - I fell on my bike in NYC - bloody knee - embarressed more than anything. Hope you are not to sore this morning. Pretty smart to track it on your phone though - I track my runs on mine.

Janet - if you can too much you can always send some way - lol... Very sad that your dad destroyed something so precious. Good luck today!!

Heather - night bike riding - you are a brave soul. Don't let the boogy man get you.. Have fun at sons school!!

My exercise time is my me time and my stress reliever - and I am addicted - lol!! Bowled petty good last night. Have a great day all!!

You girls are making me feel lazy! I refuse to can anything. I have shelves of jars in my basement from when I was younger. I froze a bunch of peaches last year that we brought back from FL. Still haven't used them all.

Janet I am praying you will get some answers today.

Cynedra I hope your not too sore!

I'm off to the treadmill today. I have been doing the elliptical a lot and need to shake it up a bit.

Great Bible study tonight. We're starting a new series next week on "The Story of Scripture" and it will go from Genesis to Revelation in 12 weeks just to connect the main story. Should be a good one.

We're set for the appointment tomorrow as we got our final "must know this before we leave" questions written down.

I used to have video of us visiting this Santa Workshop when my brother and I were very, very young. One of the things dad destroyed after mom died and I am still not happy about that.

I LOVE Christmas stuff! That looks awesome, and not bad rates....Hershey park is up to over $50! They have it all cleaned up and brought home all the animals and will open this weekend. Hard to beleive!

another good day here! I think the planning ahead is helping. My schedule is a bit overwhelming. I can't believe I was worried about what I was going to do this year! I guess I didn't realize how much more work there would be with 3 boys in middle school.

Dorothy I love that you take time for exercise even though you work 2 jobs! It is so inspiring to me!!!

I love the Christmas time!!!! I haven't looked at the site yet but headed there next.

No, no, not Santa's Workshop - don't even want to think about Santa yet. I haven't been in the store lately but I'm afraid the next time I go in the trees will be up. Actually, it might be fun.

L made it to school today finally but I can not get him to take his medicine. After having issues with the liquid, I asked for a pill form. He won't do that either. Never had any trouble with him taking medicine before Saturday.

So after having a sick boy home for 5 days, my house was a mess. So this morning, after taking S to school, I decided to go bike riding instead. AF is showing up so I knew it would be a few days after today before I could go again. Anyway, towards the end of my ride, I pulled my phone out its pocket on the bike to see how far I had come. Saw it and was trying to get it back in the pocket when a stop sign and a truck going down the road (just as it should have been) made it necessary for me to put on my brakes. Only I still hadn't been able to get that phone back in so I squeezed only one side. Unfortunately, it was the left side, the front wheel brakes. Not Good! I have my first official road rash - knees, elbows, and palms. Not lasting damage though - not even to the bike or the phone. I'm probably going to be so sore tomorrow I can't move, but with AF visiting, I wasn't going to want to move anyway.

We don't have a Wii either. I haven't figured out the proper motivation for L either (or S for that matter). Although ice cream would probably work for either one.

My Goals: 10% at a time.

Heather~We got a little over half a bushel of pears done. Have the first 7 quarts in the hot water bath. The rest of the bushel weren't ready yet. I still need to call on my Alberta peaches too...we'll do 4 bushels of those. Yikes! They are easier than pears though.

Need to sew patches onto Maegann's Taekwondo uniform so they are in place for tomorrow night. I'm procrastinating and I know they won't take that long.

Days like today make me so thankful we are finally heading to the behavioral pediatrician tomorrow. Isaac has been behaving as though he has received a lot of gluten, which he hasn't, and then he's just horrible about being able to listen. I wish I knew if that was a choice to see how far I can be pushed or if it is like the books I've read state....I am the one he doesn't care to hear because I am discipline. It's an odd way to live don't you think? Sigh.

Looking forward to the Survivor premiere tonight! Immunity is up for grabs! LOL

In case I don't get back tonight I am going to post our adventures for tomorrow. We're heading to Santa's Workshop! santas-colo.com/

Janet - enjoy Bible Study. The jelly is done. I didn't have a whole bunch but our neighbor had given us a couple buckets of plums. Since I'm eat jelly on toast every day I thought that would be a good way to use them.

Kelly emoticon I busted out laughing when I read your comment about racing on the bike. My dd wanted to know why I was laughing. It is actually pretty safe here to bike or walk at night. Although, I did have a moment exactly how you described. There is a stretch that goes by the woods where I run with the dog in the day. It was so pitch black that I freaked myself out and rode as fast as I could.

Christina - glad Day 2 is going well. I just sat down to log my food cause I just knew I hadn't eaten enough. emoticon Actually I was already in my calorie range and it was well balanced, bummer. I guess I just need to go to bed.

Had a parent meeting for Nick's class tonight. Fortunately, I could use the van and didn't have to ride. I really like Nick's homeroom teacher this year. I ended up volunteering to be a part of the parent group for his class also. It's a good thing.

Cynedra - how's L doing? Is he still home today?

Doro- it amazes me how you fit in your fitness around such a busy schedule. emoticon
