I've done that one, also! LOL! I figured let her eat herself SICK. But, there was just TOO much of it, this time around! emoticon

Hawgwild,
Ok, I have to share what a bad mother I was. I used to let my kids eat their candy as much as they wanted. Usually it was gone within 24 hours - and the kids threw up. Over and done with. Now they are all grown up and laugh about how much fun that was! Eww!

The oatmeal sounds good. I usually just add peanut butter or almond butter to it. Never even occured to me to add chocolate protein powder..gonna have to try this recipe out tomorrow.

Lady,
chocolate peanut butter oatmeal
1/2 c quick oats
1 T. flax meal optional
1 T. oat bran optional
1c. milk
1 T chocolate protein powder
1 T. peanut butter

Combine oats, flax, oat bran and milk in deep bowl and microwave for 90 seconds. Stir in powder and peanut butter....ENJOY.
I love this for breakfast. Now depending on the optional ingredients and the percent of your milk will make a different on the consistency of your oatmeal. I like mine a little soupy.

That is so funny! I don't have this issue yet with children, because I don't have any, but I find myself doing the same thing with my husband. He loves Reece's peanut butter cups. Any time he buys them I end up having to hide half of them in the freezer. Otherwise he'll eat a whole package in one sitting. And I'm not talking about the two cup packages either!

COMPLETELY agree with you HAWGWILD1!! To make myself feel a little better about not wasting the money is to give the bags of candy to our nanny. She lives in a community with lots of kids (who aren't quite as fortunate) and passes it out there. Not wasted and I feel better that I didn't eat every last piece!! emoticon

All I have to say is that is HI-larious!
I stopped with the candy on Sunday and I am over it now. Especially since I couldn't find any of the Reeses Peanut Butter eggs, which are my favorite.

I meet this craving with chocolate peanut butter oatmeal...my saniety.

Well. I have finally gotten rid of the Easter candy. I've been throwing it into the garbage SLOWLY over the last two days.
When I bought the candy, I thought, OK, THIS is PLENTY! But, I didn't realize that my daughter's uncle would stop by with candy, and that she would be invited to an egg hunt at her friend's house. MORE candy!
I hate to just sit here watching her eat ALL of it, so every once in a while, I would walk by the basket (she would just think I was grabbing a mini egg for myself) grab a HANDFUL of those little chocolate eggs and just pitch them into the garbage. Money wasted? I think NOT!
